After two flights and two trains arriving at the train station of the area, normally a warm welcome is expected….unfortunately not. There was no taxi rank at the train station , so I called the reception … they answered in Dutch and did not even wait for me to reply and put me on hold for more than 3 min! I gave it one more try , same thing happened and had no time to reply again ….! Third time I said is the lucky one , called them again and basically interrupted them in English stating that I do not speak Dutch and that I am a guest who would like an assistance with the transfer and to send me a taxi. Their answer: I am very busy at the moment can I call you back later ????? I replied no need to call me just send me a taxi please. Final answer : that is the number for you to call!!!!

We spent a night here in one of the tower suites. Keep in mind that these are quite expensive to start with. But for some reason you are charged €7,50 per night/day to park your car on their own, huge, parking lot. The hotel is situated in the woods, so of course people are going to come by car. It is the most insane thing that they charge you per day for this and the worst marketing decision ever. Where else are you going to leave your car in that area? It's not enough to pay €185 per night for a suite, they have to nickel and dime you for the parking spot as well. Just include the parking fee in the room price, c'mon. The hotel looks great on the outside, which is what all the pictures on their site show and the surroundings are also quite nice. On the inside, it is very very outdated. Our suite was clean, but just not maintained well. The bathroom feels ancient. I will say it too was clean, but just old. You have to bring your own hairdryer, because they provide one attached to the wall, which looked like it was from the 70's and hardly blows any air. One of the lamp shades was hanging crooked, apparently no one noticed. One of the built-in ceiling lamps was no longer built-in.. The walls show evidence of amateur patch-up work. The room door does not close well enough, leaving a gap through which the hallway light will enter your room, as well as through the door's looking glass, which has no shutter. So your room is not completely dark at night. All-in-all, in absolute terms it was not terrible, but you expect a lot more for the price they ask. We had dinner at the restaurant. Staff there was friendly, but the restaurant was understaffed. They did what they could, but it took a while before we were served and had received our food. The food itself was good, but in our opinion not worth the price. Breakfast was basic and nothing special. My pancakes were almost cold and my fried egg was cold, while the bacon on the other hand had good temperature. I found no evidence of the regional cuisine that they mention on the website. Coffee was good. Again, to us it is simply a matter of expecting more for the price that they charge for breakfast. The staff that we interacted with in general were very friendly, so no complaints there. But the hotel just has a feel of faded glory, like it might have been great twenty years ago. As a disclaimer, I will say that I did not present my complaints to any staff on checkout. Maybe if it had been one small thing I would have, but as it is, I expect to not have to complain about a place that proclaims to be a 4 star hotel. My rating then reflects the value I found myself getting for the money. It would have been 2 stars, if not for the atrocious parking fee.

The swimming pool is beautifull large well designed but FREEZING cold and the staff argued that it was “ok” other guests also found it cold and also complained but the staff are taught to reapond its “fine” and they even said we can go for 10 euros to the spa with warm jacuzzi but the jaccuzzi is also cold so we spent 20 euros to rent bath robes for cold swimming pool and jacuzzi not cool. The restaurant offers amazing quality food super expensive and micro portions but amazing quality and service. The building amd grounds are really well made laid out and majestic. The staff overal is very polite. The rooms are like a cheap motel style 2-3 stars and need renovation . The whole place is like really empty feels like a ghost town maybe thats why the pool is cold savjng money strategy who knows. Its a shame becUse this place has huge potencial to be a lively well run up to date business. There isnt wven a manager available they td me when we spoke about the swimming pool.

The room was very clean. The breakfast did not lack anything. Very nicely located hotel. Will be happy to come back. For us as cyclists, the hotel always had a way to park and load the bikes.

A amazing hotel for if you want to have a chill vacation. There is a lot to do in the hotel itself. Which means that if you want to go to a museum, but take it easy in the evening, you can go to the swimming pool or wellness center in the hotel after a visit. There is also a lot of parking space, so it is easy to take your car with you to go to places in the Netherlands.

We stayed for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). The location of the hotel is great for nature lovers. I found the hotel rooms a bit dated but still comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall for the experience I found it overpriced.

I enjoyed my short stay at this hotel. The staff were attentive and kind. The location is magical, hidden among talk trees and carefully manicured landscaping. I had one of my most restful stays at this beautiful hotel.

The hotel is nice but the rudest staff ever. When we went just outside just to the backyard we’ve been told that we are not allowed to go there. All the facilities are closed for some reason. We’ve been forced to have drinks at the parking lot 🤷🏽‍♂️ You cannot even buy drinks at bar freely during day time. You have to really insist and ask to contact manager and only after they start to sell it. They took heaters away, then they took the only one table away, then staff forced as to leave at all. Then they forced as to go to our rooms at certain time. It is not allowed to do anything, staff is watching after you all the time. I felt like in a prison camp. Never again 👎🏽
