One
of
my
favourite
places
in
Hunza
andnine
of
the
rare
places
of
high
quality
open
in
the
winter
there.
The
owners
have
a
passion
for
hospitality
and
have
done
a
great
job
at
creating
a
cozy
atmosphere
in
a
beautiful
space.
Saira
Appa,
who
hosted
us,
is
the
kindest
lady,
educated
in
the
US
on
a
Fullbright
scholarship
and
she
personally
oversaw
the
cooking
of
our
dinner
and
breakfast.
Some
features:
Big
rooms
with
warm
water.
Heating
electric
blanket
for
the
bed
In
room
thermos
flask
of
warm
water
+
raw
Passu
honey
Food
simple
yet
refined,
with
a
young
Chitrali
chef
trained
at
the
PC
Lahore.
We
had
palak
paneer
(with
home
made
cottage
cheese!),
well
balanced
and
subtly
seasoned
daal
chawal
and
a
delicious
Hunzai
soup
with
mushrooms.
There
is
quite
a
bit
of
choice.
For
breakfast
you
can
get
real
coffee,
espresso,
mocha
machine,
etc...
In
winter,
sit
at
a
low
table
and
enjoy
the
heat
coming
from
under
while
it's
cold
around
you.
