Nothing Grand about the Grand Palace -NOT the hotel to spend NYEve What a disappointing end to 2023 and even worse start to 2024 Spent over $1,000 for 1 night all inclusive for 8 persons. Repeatedly messaged the hotel prior to arrival asking for plan for any gala buffet/entertainment to which we did not receive a reply. Every other hotel on the site does state clearly if your rate does or doesn’t include Checked in advised $73pp for set dinner (choice of 3 menus) and entertainment - asked if we could just eat at the buffet and then enjoy the entertainment and was advised $30pp! So we reluctantly negotiated $40pp for the event - what a big mistake that was! 1/ seated in wrong area for the menu agreed which proved a challenge and confusion for staff - where we should have been had far more superior seating for comfort and atmosphere 2/ food extremely disappointing to the point my husband left and went to the buffet therefore eating on his own, another friend didn’t eat anything. The manager was aware we weren’t happy and pushed for him to have a steak which thankfully was cooked to perfection. In the meanwhile my husband loving the selection and quality in the buffet. No one had every course available but the only item we all enjoyed was the asparagus soup 3/ quality of wine is disgusting - thank the Lord we brought our own 4/ entertainment was shocking, the usual belly dancer, whirling dervish and as for the ‘live singer’ - not 2 words I would have used to describe him. In between all this the music playlist left a lot to be desired to the point the staff even offered guests to plug their phones into the laptop if they had better. My husband would would have gladly done this had it been iPhone compatible. The only outstanding act was a spanish dance synchronised drummer band, they were mesmerising and a complete waste of their talent to perform at 1am to about 15 pax at this point. 5/ had advised service until 2am but at 1:30 refused drinks, lights went on, management and staff hurriedly removing tables making it quite clear we should be retiring Now don’t get me wrong we had some laughs and a great night with friends but paying $400 basically for 8 bowls of soup has left a sour taste in the mouth No one should have paid for what was delivered. The Grand Hotel next door looked more like the place to be. Having spent NYEve in many hotels in Hurghada this was seriously nowhere near on level with Steigenberger Makadi, Desert Rose, Kaisol Romance and even Tropitel, all of which do not charge you extra as an all inclusive guest and deliver an awesome night So on checkout requested a refund of the $400, not an unreasonable request - 3 hours and 5 managers later told No because we should have complained at the time! Customer service dismissive and rude! Never will I return or recommend this hotel when they had every opportunity to redeem themselves and be done with it!

The absolute best experience we had here at Grand Palace. We will miss it until we come back again. The staff and managers are professional and work very hard to keep a smile on your face. We felt like royalty here and for the price it is well worth it to get the all inclusive deal! The food is amazing and besides the buffet style meal they have different restaurants within the resort to match Asian / Greek / Italian tastes as well! We really didn’t need to leave the resort for even shopping because they have stores on the beach too! Hopefully the water park opens next time we are here because it looked very exciting. We will also try at least one of the giant boats parking right outside on the sea. Oh and by the way the beautiful turquoise water is completely clear even over 10 feet deep. Thank you for the great memories!

"I recently stayed at the Grand palace Hotel and I have to say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. I want to give a special thank you to Mr. Hamdi for his exceptional service and attention to detail during my stay. The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could have asked for. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby every night. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch. I also enjoyed spending time in the hotel's beach, which was a relaxing. The location of the hotel was also perfect, with easy access to the city's main attractions and public transportation. Overall, I highly recommend the Grand Palace Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in the city. The staff, amenities, and location are all top-notch, making for an unforgettable experience. Thank you again to Mr. Hamdi and the rest of the staff for making my stay so enjoyable."

This hotel has positives & negatives it really depends on what you want. We found the food to be mostly unappetising in the dining room (buffet) & A La Carte restaurants. We ate mostly in the Marina as the hotel food made us sick we had no problem with the food we ate in the Marina. The alcohol is also poor, the wine is watered down, we bought bottles from the hotel as we could not drink the wine on AI menu. The staff are mostly lovely & appreciate a tip, we were happy to tip as they worked very hard. Thank you to the lovely Nicholas on the terrace, his service was excellent, thanks also to Mahoud on the beach (Bobby Firmino) he worked so hard to make sure you had a pleasant drink. Towels & robes in room need replacing they are grey & worn, they are not acceptable. Shower in room does not drain as the floor is slanted away from drain hole. There is no entertainment whatsoever in this hotel, we went on lots of trips to Luxor, Safari, snorkeling & scuba that made our holiday much more enjoyable. Tips - bring small notes or coins to tip the staff they will attend quicker. Towels - bring your own for room (beach towels ok). Down load Uber app, price to Marina €3 normal taxi €15. No air conditioning available in winter (hotel switch off). Would not return to this hotel unless positive changes were made. Egyptian people are very helpful, kind & have great sense of humour 😀

We loved this place and enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel, rooms, kind and helpful staff (from gardeners, housekeepers, to reception and bar/restaurant service), great location, and tasty food! Awesome place to relax (hotel is 18+), no loud music, no annoying sellers (there are few, but they accept "no" for an answer). We will come back again! Edit- Many people talk about tipping extra money to the staff... I wanna say that we got served and smiled at BEFORE we gave any money to someone. It wasn't necessary, but as we are in Egypt, we surely don't mind leaving 1$ here and there. But it isn't a must, and the service is great even without tipping.

Stayed 8 Days at The Grand Palace over Christmas. The rooms were lovely, I adored the lighting in the evening, the resort was beautiful. It was very easy to book day trips that picked you up from the hotel and brought you back. We did so every day and there were numerous actives at the hotel itself such as a Christmas dinner, massages, and hair cuts. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The downside was the food was subpar. They have numerous restaurants but but that is more branding. For the Italian restaurant I ordered a pizza and it was the quality of an instant frozen pizza from a grocery store. For every menu that states "Potato Slices" what they really mean is oven cooked frozen french fries. I ordered a Screw Driver and instead of orange juice it was orange flavored juice mix with less then a splash of vodka. The Croissants on the breakfast bar were closer to bread. We eventually settled for going to the buffet every night and making salads with bread as then at least we knew what we were getting.

The staff were absolutely fantastic and couldn’t have been any more attentive. They went over and above the call of duty to make us feel very welcome. The food was great, the setting was stunning and the location was close to shops and spas which we lived in. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a quiet relaxing and romantic holiday but we were a group of 7 women going for a pre Christmas holiday and whilst the staff were fantastic the guests were miserable and it began to feel more like a hotel for people lacking any real zest for life

The best hotel ever. Very nice staff all over the hotel. From receptionists, waiters in bars, restaurants. Very nice Ahmed, who cleaned our room excellently every day. Anyone who writes that food is always the same is not true. It's a lot to choose from and always freshly prepared. Freshly squeezed juices are also available for breakfast at no extra charge. I highly recommend this hotel. We will come back for sure. Alex and Barbara
