Extra satisfaction was derived from eating here and taking something home is an irresistible urge. Can't explain how I feel after eating here. Amazing & Cool Geographies, & Exteriors! The Washing Tub outside shows they are COVID-19 aware & conscious. And alsoe you are perhaps not having a complete stay yet if you are in Ibadan & haven't been to this joint.

I enjoy their Amala, they have a variety of local food as well all at pocket friendly prices. The environment is okay, could be better. I don't know about it being "South African" seeing that it's Nigerian food they sell but what do I know.

I went to eat Abula on a hot Saturday afternoon and I am impressed with the restaurant. They served different types of food both local and international delicacy available for take out or Dine in. I order for Abula which was pretty much okay. I am really impressed with the atmosphere and settings, they have different corners to eat especially if you a private person.

High quality food served here! My preference is a bit biased towards the local dishes though. Local dishes can hardly be served better! Another plus is the ambience and good customer service. You will need to remember your surname to be sure you're not the Olubadan, with the kind of personalized service you get there! (😂)

Service can be terrible and you have for a long time to get your food. The workers are not so fluent in English so you have to wear your yoruba cap on before walking in. Their food is quite cheap and they have a variety of indigenous meals.

Always a delight eating here. I love their amala, so fluffy and light plus the soup is tasty as well. There is a VIP room section which also has its own restroom.Once you walk into the room and sit, waitress will follow suit and take your order, bring it in for you, this is what I normally do to avoid the queue, as it does get busy most times, but for this service you pay an extra 1000 naira.

Ola mummy is an exclusive place to be, a place like home where you can get all the varieties of food's like Amala, eba, fufu, iyan, semo, and meat like goat meat, cow meat, chicken, turkey, fish, 🐌 snail e.t.c give it a trial and be confused.

The restaurant was overly crowded, it's understaffed and the staff on ground are very rude. You have to be extremely patient and not so hungry to stand the delay and poor attitude. I left when I waited for a long time without being attended too (I even tried talking to a staff and I was ignored). The security men are pleasant though

Been going to this spot for over a decade and I was really really impressed with the new building especially the VIP SECTION where you pay token eat in a lush space... Also I am happy they have maintained their consistency and authenticity over time... Never leave Ibadan without trying their Amala and Abula with soft Ponmo and Ogunfe... Also ask for the Hake fish... Its yummy

So, I’ve known this restaurant for years now. Their growth over the years is so nice to see🤭😁😊. The new space looks so elegant, well set, perfect sitting arrangement and all. Their customer service is great, however the last time I had amala from there, the amala was rather small in size. If you want to do local, they should be your go to. Their jollof also tastes party jollof. Just in that same building, upstairs, they have a supermarket where you can get various things; toiletries, home decor, juices, wines, canned foods and the likes.

Their amala and pounded yam were amazing! They have a VIP room away from the general area that is very homey.

Love the food. But some of the workers don’t have good customer relationship.

  • 4/5 Kemi O. 1 year ago on Google
It's ok.. Food is ok... Customer service is ok. They need to find way to manage their customers when it's rush hour Their traffic wardens/security guys deserve thumb up

  • 5/5 Ayowumi O. 10 months ago on Google
While I think it's relatively pricey with longer waiting time, the convenience of the sitting arrangement may (probably) make the prices worth it. The place is ideal for a group lunch. The beef is soft and the ponmo is well done. The gbegiri is thick and quite milky. The Ewedu has strong locust bean and not many. It would be ideal for the locust to be soft. Well, the Amala is 'Ibadan-ish' just as you would expect. But I do think think the wraps of Amala are quite small. The smoothness and tenderness of each wrap of Amala however make up for the size. It's a place to visit again.

The place is quite nice, courteous staff who are readily available to attend to your order, the cleaners too are cleaning 🧹🧼 the place once they notice dirts around. The meals are sumptuous, but kinda expensive 😞

  • 4/5 Abimbola O. 11 months ago on Google
Their specialty is abula but they also serve other dishes which are very well prepared. This was my second experience but I will go again and again. You have to be patient though because you might meet the late evening crowd and everyone just wants to eat but their atmosphere is superb , enough servers and great food.

Not bad at all. From the aesthetics to the customer service and most importantly- Food!!. I'd give it a 90 just cause I'm not easy to please naturally😂

  • 5/5 Elizabeth L. 8 months ago on Google
The amala is great! I had a good time overall, I went there for the amala and was not disappointed. One staff was rude but the others were hospitable. I had the snail as well and even though it was expensive, I liked it.

  • 3/5 Toluwalase O. 6 months ago on Google
The service is slow and the servers are not friendly maybe because they are overwhelmed by the number of customers. The place is not well lit so I suggest they get a bit of lightning. The food is delicious but I would prefer to eat it at a different location. It seems to be the rave of the location but there is areas of improvement.

Another good quality Amala joint and ranks among the famous joints to visit if you like your local food. This is an upgraded buka. There is decent parking and they accept card and cash payments. Not too pricey.

A great place to enjoy àmàlà with enough varieties of soup and protein options available. Other food types like pounded yam, rice, beans, porridge, etc also available. There's parking space and comfortable seating arrangements, there's also a particular section for VIP which can be paid for. Ola Mummy also has an event center and a standard supermarket where you can shop for your needs.

Amazing customer service, great food and neat environment. It's my "go to" place when I feel like eating Amala especially. The food is affordable, environment is spacious, and the restaurant is easy to locate. It is every bit deserving of my 5 stars.
