水戸駅から、もしも徒歩で行くなら40分はかかる位置にあるイタリアン店。田んぼの中にぽつんと建っており、基本的には車がないと来るのは難しいです。
前から来たかったお店なのですが、この立地ゆえになかなか機会がなく…… 今年(2021年)いっぱいの営業で茨城町に移転してしまうと知り、あわてて滑りこみで訪れました。
茨城産の食材を中心に、旬を大切に、その時々の素材を適した調理法で味あわせてくれるお店で、その調理技術やセンスもさることながら、茨城食材の魅力も一緒に味わえます。味も接客も含めてとてもレベルが高く、イタリア料理好きはもちろん、観光客にもおすすめできるお店です。
本当に、いただいたお料理どれもおいしかったのですが、特に前菜のㇳリッパに添えてあったじゃがいもはすごかった。茨城産とのことでしたが、こんなに味が濃く食感もなめらかなお芋が採れるとは…… 茨城といえばさつまいものイメージでじゃがいも処のイメージはなかったので、これは驚きでした。
リゾットのきのこも旨味が濃く、かすみ鴨は噛むほどに赤身の旨味が出て、いやなクセは皆無。モンブランも栗の香りの濃さが強く、終始茨城食材の魅力に驚かされました。
移転後は水戸医療センター近くになるとのことで、今の場所以上に行くのは難しくなってしまいますが、茨城の魅力を発信していくためにも頑張ってもらいたいお店です。
