After praying head over and grab an omikuji then explore the grounds. Definitely on my list of places to visit whenever I'm in Mito.

Came here for a short trip with classmates. This temple doesn't have sprawling grounds like Meiji Jinggu, Kiyomizudera or Engkakuji types but it serves its' purpose of what a typical Japanese temple does - offering prayers & omikuji (note: it is written in Japanese only, no English translation) to devotees.
