逆井古城と飯沼城2種の城跡が重なり土塁、堀等の遺構が楽しめる場所です。
トイレや自動販売機、申請許可によるBBQ場(芝生広場)やゲートボール場があり、老若男女がほのぼのと楽しめる公園です。
復元二重櫓や関宿城城門と伝わる門、他にも歴史遺産が復元移転されています。
桜の隠れた名所でもあり、遥か昔に広大な飯沼が広がっていた飯沼川沿いの桜並木が綺麗でした。
城跡散策も楽しいですが一の曲輪に咲くスミレやカタクリ等の花も見応えがありますよ。
2度目の訪問でしたがまだ見落とした遺構や神社、井楼もあるのでまた次回散策してみたいです。
