I visited the filmhouse Cinemas Imax, the one at lekki Phase 1. The place is actually cool neat portable and loveable It's my first time here. Their customer service is satisfactory. There is a very comfortable seat to wait before your movie starts 😀 inside the mall you find HANS and RENE the ice shop and I also saw the restaurant upstairs I didn't quiet get there name and the restaurant down is called THE SIGNATURE also the decor is cool I didn't really feel the AC in the movie theater it also have enough parking space I came to see a movie titled: the Avatar the way of the water, ticket during the weekend cost 3500.

Located in Lekki Phase One, this appears to be one of Filmhouse’s legacy cum flagship cinemas, in a dedicated property not situated in a mall. It is conspicuous and very easy to access. Parking is limited within the compound, but street parking (at owner’s risk) is available. It offers the IMAX experience for movies, which is very different from regular screens - and several times more immersive. The lobby lacks the pristine feel you’ll find in some of their other locations. This property requires maintenance, as it looks dated in some areas - especially the (male) rest rooms with several broken equipment. It was an evening movie (and not a premiere), thus ticketing service was brisk. We were allowed to enter the screen 20 minutes before the movie time, which was generous. Now the most interesting part for me. The movie screen here is HUGE. Way larger than any regular cinema screen. Pictures won’t do justice. It is almost intimidating in its sheer size - with a looming appearance like it could wrap everyone seated in one swoop with room to spare. I wonder how anyone can view that screen properly without being seated at the very top row. The sound is crisp and deafening; a gunshot in a movie will punch same decibels (or higher) as a real one. The air conditioning here leaves you feeling like you are at risk of frostbite; it was easily the coldest cinema I’ve experienced. The cinema was just about 20% occupied for the movie I watched (a long one - John Wick 4) but will chill just as much even if it were at full capacity. I enjoyed the movie, even though it was not optimized to IMAX format. I’ll like to watch one which is in IMAX coding, to get the full experience. This cinema is recommended, albeit it is about 50% pricier than the regular cinemas.

Wonderful cinema experience, very cozy and comfortable environment, brilliant scenery, sound system was amazing, great customer service, and I also enjoyed the Royal virgo parfait. P.S: IMAX filmhouse popcorn 🍿 is the best💯

If you want to enjoy premium service and chill time watching your movies with minimal side talks and unnecessary shenanigans, IMAX is your best option. We came to see black widow and I enjoyed every minute. The place is very clean, COVID protocols observed and the popcorn was giant size. I think the staff are ok, amenities clean and quite a number of snack options.

Absolutely fantastic! Stepped into a magnificent tastefully designed interior space for a lobby and transitioned into the beautiful signature restaurant. The building was well designed and even better detailed interior. Such a beautiful place to go on dates or casual hangouts.

The IMAX screen were awesome as always. I'll always pick the IMAX 2D experience over the 2D premium. I wish they could reduce sugar in their popcorn, but apart from that, it's a wholesome experience all round.

State of the Art IMAX cinema. Excellent big screen and crisp audio. Good film selections. You can get your ticket online or buy physically on-site on the same counter for popcorn and drinks. Good location too with lots of parking spaces. Great experience overall.

Most immersive movie experience. Nothing beats the experience at the IMAX Theatre. The meals at The Signature are awesome and the Cube is best VIP experience in town!

I needed lunch and ended up at the signature. Its inside IMAX mall and is a cozy environment. You get a complimentary snack (peanut or popcorn) while you wait for your order. They don't have a robust menu and their meal either contains cheese or something fried. It's a good venue for a hangout and the waiters are attentive. I'll visit there again for drinks though.

The cinemas was beautiful. Floor tí ceiling projection, nice seats and great sound system. I enjoyed that although some of the Filmhouse attendants were a bit un customerly but I've concluded that I'm not seeing another movie again except its at IMAX

One of the best Cinema house in Lagos, watch Fast and Furious 10 in the private section of the Cinema and it was very explosive and the temperature is pretty chilling, great pop corn and have the best time with friends would recommend it to anyone looking out for a fascinating place to watch a movie.

Location is convenient. Seating was wonderful especially since the theater was empty. Staff members were friendly and prompt. Security in front is super friendly. Small but ok parking space. I just wish they had more snack options. Definitely will make it my center for movies while in Nigeria.

The IMAX experience was lovely for us, it cost N4,000 per ticket (excluding food). There's a restaurant in there too, I had a shawarma and chocolate milkshake & enjoyed both.

I'm going to start with what I didn't like with this one; if it didn't almost turn into an altercation, we would have been made to wait on one of the four or so long queues that were barely moving (because staffing reasons, for the obvious part) and most likely missed part of our movie because there was no system to attend to those who purchased their tix and such online from those who were getting them at the till. We literally bought the tickets ahead to avoid any of the above, as we were working with a schedule that day. Otherwise, cinema is cool, hall is spacey, restrooms are attended to, popcorn is actually tasty!

I'm giving 2 stars because my initial reaction was that it was such a nice experience, until the lights went out right in the middle of the movie, and it took over 20 minutes for it to come back on. After which they kept rewinding and forwarding the movie. I really didn't expect that from such a renowned Cinema

Been here a million times. It's the go to place for my wife and I. They have maintained their standards over the years. Sound is awesome particularly in the large screen theatre. Amenities are excellent. You're not worried about having to ease yourself, which is a major problem at many other cinema locations. The shawarma is great. The movie selection range is also great. The staff are well trained and helpful. Definitely the best cinema in Lagos if not Nigeria.

It's a nice place to visit for relaxation as it has a serene environment, nice parking space, nice hangout space in all the building and its a perfect place for your dates, hangouts, anniversaries, parties in lekki phase 1.

Cinematic experience was wonderful, customer service is good. However, restroom was a mess, had a stench , no toilet rolls, no running water and in the WC’s as well.

I went on a Friday night to watch the new spiderman movie. The building is very good. The cinema is great, IMAX worthy. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the lack of organisation and coordination at the pay point. The same staff selling tickets are the same organising and serving popcorn/refreshments. This led to a unnecessarily long chaotic queue, which defeats the purpose of even booking online ahead, as you would still come to join the crazy queue. I also find it strange that you pay for movies and refreshments online, but no provision to pay for the 3D glasses. Only to come and start paying for it in person at the cinema, amidst non functional POS and a scramble for cash.

Amazing 3D experience. Heads up, you would need to buy your own 3D glasses even after paying for the 3D cinema which costs considerably more than the premium. But the experience is worth it!! Also, you have to get popcorn. If you're going alone 1000 naira/$2 would get you a nice size or you could splurge on larger sizes. There's also food on their menu, all relatively affordable.

I loved the ambiance, and sound effect in the cinema room. The jumbo popcorn was sweet 😋 and I couldn't finish it.

Filmhouse Cinema is a really nice space. There's a lounge upstairs to chill if you want to. 'not-so-good' customer service at the lounge, as we waited for over 30minutes and not a single person came around to take our order, or ask what we wanted. The movie tickets are sometimes unnecessarily pricey. The ticketing counter queue is annoying even at 8pm in the evening. 75cL table water was sold at 1k for one bottle in the cinema and the popcorn was a big sized popcorn that was sold at 3.3k per cone. The movie ticket was 6.5k. The 3D glass was sold at 600naira each. There's a couch at the ticketing hall, where you could sit while waiting for your movie time. The 3D cinema was amazing! I had a great experience watching 'Aquaman'. The movie theater was spacious and really cold, I saw lots of persons with their blankets.

The AC today (28 Dec, 2022) at the cinema was chilling even with all the heat outside. So cold that I was happy to stand under the sun for a while. Also the experience I've gotten in the past 2 months at this Cinema is just great. The trill is different, good different :-) I saw a friend cry while watching a movie today (Avatar: Way of the Water). The cinema has an immersive feeling. I've enjoyed my time there so far.

I enjoyed watching a film at the IMAX Film House cinema in Lekki. The large screen and high-quality sound system created a pleasant movie-going experience. It would be a good choice for those who appreciate watching big-budget movies in a comfortable setting.

Had a sweet experience here. If you check the timing of the movie on Google, it would indicate an hour earlier than the actual start time, but that's okay... in the lounge, there's a bookshelf with nice items you can read while you wait. I did 3 chapters of Northern Lights before the movie started... If you need more privacy while you read, walk up the stairs to the terrace... it's delightful! P.s remember to buy your 3D glasses

I believe this is one of the best cinemas in lagos. The movie rooms are well maintained, there’s no smell, broken chairs or leaking ceilings. They have the best popcorn! Ample parking space and an imax screen. If you want to watch a movie this is the place.

Has potential. Could do a lot better with handling customer complaints, better trained staff, organization. Should try seat assignments and stick with it for one thing. It's not that difficult.

Top Notch Movie Experience.. That Screen is to Die For and the Snacking Options are Good. Probably the best PopCorn I have had in Lagos.. And of course no unnecessary Noise in the theater. Would 100 percent recommend. Service Personnel are pretty Good.

There's largely nothing wrong with the cinema itself. You do get the usual Nigerian stuff, poorly maintained hallways and occasionally below par hygiene, but you'll get that anywhere. Also you should know that the people that frequents this particular cinema consist largely of cool young people. Which is to say, they will take noticeably longer to place orders, appear to be in a perpetual performance of some kind, and their approach to queueing may confound or even upset you. Not enough reason to cancel a trip there, but something very useful to keep in mind.

Quite pricey for me but loved the 3D experience I had while watching Shang Chi and the legend of the 10 rings. It was really like I was in the movie 🎥😊

Neat and clean, first time I experienced 4D movie here when I went to see Avatar2 with my fried great experience as also it was the time of Christmas, the place was decorated beautifully. 4D experience was amazing.

Good movie experience, comfortable seats, large screens, good sound, courteous attendants. It’s easy to find too. They don’t have enough seats outside to accommodate a large number of guests waiting to watch movies but that’s to be expected.

This cinema has to be one of the best I've ever been to, it's also a 3d cinema and the waiting lounge is so cute🥺 , even though it's quite expensive compared to other film house cinemas P.S: you don't have to dress so elegant to come here and i didn't take pictures 😪

The movie experience on that big screen is amazing. It's totally immersive. I watched Eternals on it and I was just completely blown. They could do better with the prices though, even if we know it's because it is lekki

A really cool place to have a cinematic experience, I love how serene and welcoming the environment is. Of course, they have friendly and willing to assist staff that makes it an enjoyable experience all together. It could be crowded especially if there's a hot movie out, I'd advise you to select your time and pay online if you already have a chosen movie you want to see.

When Filmhouse Lekki isn't crowded, it's glorious. There is truly no other screen in Nigeria to watch 3D as the cinematic gods intended. Staff are also generally friendly and helpful (when there is no crowd). Restrooms are great, seating is great (make sure to check nothing slips from your pocket due to the chair's inclination). However, when there is a crowd you start to see the administrative lapses, like the fact there is no dedicated lane for persons who booked their tickets online, so it lends no advantage. The staff becomes frazzled and less than polite. At least they never overbook a theater as is the case with some of their competition. With these improvements they could be excellent.

IMAX is a decent fillmhouse cinema in Lekki phase 1, last I checked it’s a small space. Besides the tiny seats, It’s rated just fine and it’s a good spot for a quick movie after a hectic work day.

IMAX is the best cinema I have ever been too! There are lots of food that you can buy which are tasty. IMAX even has a Hans & Rene booth where you can buy ice cream. So yummmmmmmmmyy! So don't go to any other cinema than IMAX. You have got to love it. Bye!

Really nice cinema. Enjoyed the movie. The cinema manager was very nice by let my friends and I sit in the signature lounge with complimentary popcorn while we waited for the movie to start. Really impressed.
