I’ll breakdown my experience viz First this hospital has a lot of professionals, lots of medical equipment and lots of doctors of all specialty from General to dentists to pediatricians to gynecologists, dermatologists, ENT ... Wow the number of patients that come here daily is stunning you need to be here at least 8:30 to get done in 2 hours. New? Get to information center to get a file, then pay for file at one of the cash points either with cash or card. Take file to info center, get your details filed and proceed to wait for your call to take vital signs, wait to be called to see the doctor. Beautiful processes, but there is queue o. Free Parking is very limited, but there is park n pay for N500 negotiable. Of course there is wheelchair accessibility. I like to hold some change to tip helpful people, you can try that too. There is good security and safety cautions.

It's a government subsidized hospital but you need money to still get any adequate and quick treatment done. It has two major entrances. The only thing that attracts fast response is emergency cases. There are delays for other treatments and long process sometimes. There are competent resident doctors just lodged nearby. The place is wide. Wheelchair accessibility at some entrances (not all). The place is large and occupy a vast amount of land with several departments distinguished. The direction to each place is old and will confuse first timers unless you make enquiries. The spacing between the beds is wide enough for walking and fans are not assigned to each bed.

Well staffed and well stocked There are various departments and units here, the ones I have experienced were the Opthalmology Clinic and the Surgical Clinic which was a success stories on both occasions. I am impressed by the activities I observed at the A & E Department they were spontaneous with good outcome at the end. The need for more and more modern equipment can not be over emphasised to continually improve a very good place.

The best general Hospital in Lagos functioning like a tertiary hospital with different departments: Emergency, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Nephrology, General surgery, Urology, Paediatrics surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Oncology, Dentistry, Radiology, Physiotherapy, Dietetics and Nutrition. There is no Gynaecology and Paediatrics department here because they function as a separate hospital within the area( LAGOS ISLAND MATERNITY HOSPITAL & MASSEY STREET CHILDREN HOSPITAL) It renders training to interns and there is a lot of patient load. The services rendered here are superb but there is an urgent need for new structure with more bed space in the emergency department(Casualty and LACEMS) to accommodate the patient load. There is no resting area for patient relatives hence a need for that purpose also.

Good access roads. Has an emergency room. Offers a broad spectrum of general medical services, and a limited number of specialist care.

Accessible from CMS or TBS. Ambulance services are available and the hospital is a stone throw to Lagos Island Maternity and Massey Children Hospital

A seemingly decent hospital which is pretty accessible and has a calm environment. It's neat and well maintained but the facilities need an upgrade.

I think they are trying in their work of health care but the number of cases surpasses the available personnel and so the staffs are overstreahed thereby causing stress and and anger, which now give birth to aggression and bad attitude towards patients

Am giving them a-2 star, I don’t understand the need and use of β€œopening your card” every time one comes to the hospital. It’s senseless. The crowd is always crazy especially when it’s only one staff attending to all. Look into this β€œCARD OPENING PROCESS”

I didn't have an out-of-this-world experience at the hospital; but considering the general malaise of the Nigerian health sector presently, I'll give them a thumbs up. The management is still well within the 'efficiency bracket'😁!

It is far better than it was before. The nurses are exceptional and the doctors are expert. My son was circumsized and a surgeon in 1 big hospital (name with hold), mistakenly cut a vein alongside the skin that was meant to me cut. On going home, during the night, he started bleeding non-stop, and we had to go Massey children Hospital and we were later referred to General Hospital Odan. The attention and assurance, the nurses and the doctors gave us was out of here. Even the security are πŸ‘

You can get the best and any medical help at the general hospital but you have to be very patient as there are limited hands doing the job over there.

The services at the GH, Odan, Lagos, may have improved but the data on this site belong to the dark ages. The telephone numbers are incorrect and some of the information are crying for urgent update.

Dirty, crowded, undergoing reconstruction but being managed very badly. Covid protocols are extremely lax. Seems to be loads of talk by the state government about covid safety but very little action. No temperature checks, no social distancing and masks seem to be at your discretion

The best General Hospital I've seen in Nigeria. It is uncommon to have Nigerian secondary healthcare centres with as many specialists as GHL, Odan.
