If you just so happen to be near by then welcome to visit. Don't make a specific trip to come here. Top you'll only spend 30mins here to make your own cup noodle plus a very small museum. Service is great as usual.

It’s a funny and informative place to go as you could find all the information and history of making the very first cup noodle in the world. There are a few workshops for visitors to join, but be prepared to queue up for sometime. It shows the cups of all the types of noodles created around the world, and its even better if it can also show the types of ingredients, as well as the customization of the noodles in each country. The souvenir shop is a bit small and the product offering is a bit limited.

Best noodle making experience so far! We had a full guided experience to make Chicken Ramen from scratch. They took out all the tedious aspects of making and put in the fun elements like designing your own ramen cover! For English speaking tourists like myself, they were super patient and the guide made sure that we were taken care of. We had a lovely experience from start to end! Strongly recommend you go and make the Chicken Ramen and not just do the cup noodle making as the price is WELL WORTH the experience! The best part is their timing is impeccable! They said 90minutes and they started and ended on the dot. Super impressed. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and definitely a must go for tourists. PLEASE book an appointment if you want the chicken ramen, if not you might not get the full experience!

This is an excellent place to visit if you're crazy about Nissin Cup Noodles and for kids to try their hands on making the noodles themselves. If you're not going to try your hands on making the noodles, the museum might not have much else to offer especially if your commute is about an hour. You can still get your own packaged cup noodles though. First off it is imperative that you book way in advance and try to get the morning slots as it can get very busy and crowded later in the day. Tbh I didn't know what I signed up for and was pleasantly surprised that I got to make noodles from scratch from their lab with assistance of staff. All ingredients are provided for and you just have to follow simple instructions from the staff although limited English. You design the packaging for your noodles and staff will deep fry and sealed them for you. You get to keep the cute head scarf too! This session alone can take about 60min altogether. That was the fun part. Getting to the packaged cup noodle part was kinda chaotic in part that it became quite crowded with organised excursions of school children and the queue instructions were not explicit, so I hope you get to read this and understand the process better than I did. 1. If you have signed up for the noodle making, you will also possess another set of cards and as I understand, these cards allow you to buy and partake in the packaged cup noodle part. 2. You will still need to pay and buy cups from a vending machine on the side, usually manned by a staff who will ask to see your cards. This part was strange because she was standing after the vending machine so if you did not have the cup and shown her the cards, she'll take your cards and ask that you buy the cups from the vending machine which will be now midway in your current queue. Or if you have purchased the cups but do not have the cards, God bless you. 3. You then take lids from the staff near vending machine and get yourself onto a free table and start your best Picasso impersonations with the available colour pens. 4. You bring your ugly looking cups into the queue that brings you to the part where you get to choose your ingredients (I think it was limited to 4 items). 5. You pass the cups to the staff behind the glass where they'll ask that you turn the wheel just to see your cup get filled with the already shaped and prepared noodles. 6. You move on down to pick your chosen ingredients. 7. Staff waves you to confirm your cup noodles are yours before sealing them and you collect it from a cute opening. 8. You bring your minted cup noodles to the side where you grab one of those transparent bag which will function as a carrier for your cup noodles. 9. Important to note: position your cup as you would like it to be "displayed" in the carrier since it acts like a window also. Once positioned, pump air through the slot and the carrier will bloat up securing the cup in place. 10. String it up once fully pumped and you have yourself a cute souvenir.

Some parts of the museum were closed. Visted Golden Week 2022. Only the ground floor exhibits plus goft shop were open. And of course, the make your own cup noodle activity. Your entrance ticket gets you one cup so if you want another cup you can pay 400yen at the vending machine. Then you have 15 minutes to decorate your cup before you choose your own toppings and soup base and it’s wrapped up for you.

This was a fun place to visit. You are asked to purchase an advance ticket at Lawson. I didn't have the ticket but arrived in time that I could still enter. A woman staff member was really kind and even gave me a booklet before the place opened. Making my own noodles was so great. It was also cool seeing the myriad of flavors over the years. I bought a few things from the store and got some free snacks for buying atleast 2000 yen worth of stuff. The staff were very kind and it was a great experience.

I had a lot of fun at the cup noodles museum! The staff were all super friendly and nice, and it’s such an amazing experience customising my cup noodles and drawing on the cup. I also booked a chicken ramen cooking experience, and it’s very informative as we get to knead the dough from scratch and cut the noodles. The staff would try the noodles for you and you can bring the cute handmade noodles home, along with a cute chicken bandana! It’s definitely recommended for families!

The Osaka Cup Noodle Museum is a unique museum dedicated to the history and culture of cup noodles. Located in Osaka, Japan, it offers visitors an interactive and educational experience. The museum showcases the invention and evolution of cup noodles, allowing visitors to learn about the creative process behind this popular instant food. At the museum, you can explore various exhibits that explain the manufacturing process, from the selection of ingredients to the packaging of cup noodles. There are also displays that highlight the different cup noodle flavors and designs over the years. One of the highlights of the museum is the "My Cup Noodle Factory" where visitors can create their own personalized cup noodles. You can choose your preferred soup base and toppings, design the cup, and even customize the packaging. It's a fun and hands-on activity that allows you to experience the process of making cup noodles firsthand.

a great place if you are interested in cup noodles . a deep history of cup noodles but do take note it is all in Japanese language. the place is more suitable to be called a viewing gallery and experience centre instead of a museum . it is basically a two story building small size. admission to museum is free but if u want to bring back your cup noodles is 500 yen . it is quite interactive, kid will love it . the only bad point is the location far away from the city .

Great experience; lots of creative minds at work to customize their instant noodle cups. We had a great time reading and watching the history of Ando, who started the global food icon from a small wooden shed. They also do hands on ramen making here as well, although it does require reservations in advance. It’s 400 yen/ticket, and it’s well worth it. I’m not certain that reservations ahead of time is needed. But when we arrived on a Saturday, a staff member was able to usher us to the gift shop counter to secure tickets for our party. It was quite busy over the weekend; the tables were packed and the long was pretty long. After you finish customizing your cup, you take it up to the front where you can request four ingredients in your personalized instant ramen. They go through the whole process of sealing the containers as well, and allow you time to take pictures/videos of it. The pair of security guards at the front entrance seem to isolate themselves from foreigners; probably think we carry COVID. A friendly staff lady was passing out pamphlets and little goodie bags. When she approached us, one of the security guards beckoned her over and in a lowered tone seemed to caution her about interacting with our group. She look conflicted and disheartened, and moved away from us.

Cup of Noodles Museum was one of the many attractions that were on our list to visit during our stay in Japan. It was a family vacation and I have to say we all enjoyed the museum and had fun creating our very own cup of noodles, from designing our cup (drawing and coloring) to picking out the broth base, protein, and toppings. Then the cup went through the machine for sealing the top and plastic wrapping the cup. There are 5,460 different flavors. Amazing!!! The Museum was well-run, and inexpensive to get in. A must visit if you have kids.

A great place to visit and participate in a fun and unique activity. Location is quite out of the city but there’s a neighborhood to explore if you have time. The museum is very fun and informative, though most of the information are written out in Japanese but the exhibition is very visual. I’ve made a reservation for the chicken noodle factory workshop for 1000yen per person in advance of our trip and made payment at arrival. Spent the most fun 90 minutes in the workshop making my own instant noodle and designed my package. You can also drop in for no charge and if you want to have some fun but don’t have 90 minutes, you can also decorate your own cup noodle and take it home for 500yen! Just follow Google Map to the entrance and enjoy!

The Cup Noodles Museum is a unique highlight if you have the time in Osaka. The absolute highlight is the "workshop" where you can create your own ramen soup. First, there are some craft tables where everyone personalizes their cup. Then you can choose up to 4 ingredients and see how your own cup is created. You can consume it up to a month later. All other parts of the museum are only in Japanese, so unfortunately you can't understand much there.

While there was no queue to visit, there is definitely a long queue for the cup noodle workshop. Waited about 20 mins before gaining access, you will need to buy the cup at 500 yen and maximum of 3 cups per person. You can draw whatever you want and select the favour with 4 ingredients. While for the ramen workshop, it is fully by reservation only so there isn't a queue at all. There is also the exhibition that show the history of cup noodles which are interesting. There is even a theater but the only flaw is that it is not in English. Worthwhile to travel out for this.

To be honest, just a hands on experience of making 1 cup noodle that costs 500 Yen (15 mins process). No entrance fee required. The musuem has a hall filled with cup noodle history and a short video room to describe how cup noodles are made. You could complete the museum in 10 mins if you are not making the cup noodle.

Quite a fun and interactive experience to visit if you are at Osaka. The museum is free but the highlight is making your own cup noddles and drawing your own cool designs, which you will have to pay 500Yen for. Great group activity and definitely a recommend if you are traveling with kids!

A short but fun and interesting experience! It shows the history of the cup noodle and the whole invention process. There is a section where you decorate your own cup and then choose the soup base and toppings and then get it wrapped up. (You don’t eat it there)

Must go with kids! Glad that we made it at the very last hour before closure time. The kids had so much fun. The video is in Japanese, but the animation was so good that we understand how the cup noodle was invented 😆 A short walk from train station, quiet neighborhood.

A novelty for sure, never seen at place like this. Can make your own ramen, there is a full experience (must pre-book) or standard experience, interesting small museum as well. Mostly in Japanese, so some we couldn't understand. Great fun anyhow.

Amazing experience to create your own cup noodles. When you enter you're greeted by a massive curved wall of ramen that highlights every ramen from 1958 to the most recent one. It's insane how much ramen exists. You'll then get your own cup noodles cup and you'll be able to decorate it. Then you stand in line and when u get to the front you can choose 4 toppings. They seal it for you, then u can place it in an airtight bag. It's a great experience that I definitely recommend 👍

We went here in April 2019. This was well worth the trip from Tokyo! It was a very reasonable walk from the train and it's probably one of the funnest and most affordable things we did during our trip. It's free to go into the museum and for a very small price you can make your own cup of noodles which I highly recommend! We had so much fun making our own, the process brought out our inner children and it was a delicious souvenir to take home! They provided markers to decorate the outside and a simple bag you can keep it safe in and make it easy to carry around. The museum was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the displays.

If you like cup noodles, then this is a must. The museum is free but for ¥500 you can actually make your own custom cup Noodle which is well worth it. The museum is gorgeous and has some cool things to take a look at.

A good attraction to visit if you're in Osaka! Not as big as the Yokohama one but the building is nice clean and well maintained. The making of your own cup noodles is the best experience! The staff are all very nice and patient, even with English speaking tourists. Have to walk quite a distance to reach there.

The overall experience was nice. The place is accessible by public transportation with a few minutes walk from the station. The entrance is free but you will need to pay 500 yen for a cup of noodles that you can customize. The only downside to this place is that everything is written in Japanease so you can’t learn anything about the history and the process of making instant noodles. I would recommend this experience if you have extra time. It will be a good activity if you have kids. There was also a workshop on creating chicken ramen but it requires prior reservation.

My 12 year old and I had SUCH fun at the Cup Noodles Museum and it was a highlight of our 2 weeks in Japan! It far exceeded our expectations. There was lots of really fascinating information including about the invention and evolution of cup noodles, global consumption, historical advertising, etc with colourful and fun displays. Our favourite part was creating our own Cup of Noodles - you get to decorate a cup, choose ingredients and watch some of the process (and they were delicious)! You can also do a 2 hour ramen making class but we unfortunately didn't have time to do that too. It was an easy train trip from Osaka (about 20 mins) and a 5 min walk to the museum.

Museum is at a not very crowded area, and it has lots of interesting things to see about the history of the invention of instant ramen and cup noodle. The most fun part to me, is the creation of your own cup noodles. You get to draw your own cup and choose your own flavor and ingredients to be put into the cup. There are lots of locals who bring their kids here too. Overall it was a fun experience.

What a fun experience. Great museum, from start to finish. Very spacious and great team. Make the cup of ramen was the highlight! Fun to do as an adult or child. Highly recommend giving this a visit if you’re in the area.

I think the most interesting activity here is designing your own noodle cup. If you want to make a memorable thing to keep for the trip, I recommend you should visit here. The drawing time is 20 minutes and you need to line up for zipping your cup. You can learn about the history of noodle cup through animation video and various kind of flavor noodle since the past. Design cup fee: 500¥

One of activity in Osaka that you can enjoy to create cup ramen by your own only for 500 yen, it's a fun activity to do with your children. I think it was a good experience. If you don't have 500 coin or 1000 bills they have an money exchange machine for service.

Located in a sleepy town, I direct train ride to Ikeda station followed by a 7mins walk will get you there. You start by buying your own cup, spend time to decorate your cup, then proceed to choose the type of soup + 4 fillings. They will then walk you over the filing and sealing process. Interesting to also see the history of cup noodles. All the past models were displayed followed by the current new ones. Had a great time with the family.

I visited the Cup Noodle Museum in Osaka Ikeda and had an amazing experience. The interactive exhibits and hands-on activities were not only fun but also educational. I learned about the history of instant noodles and the creative process behind cup noodles. The highlight was making my own custom cup noodle, which was a unique and personalized souvenir. The museum's design and atmosphere were delightful, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in Japanese culture and culinary history. I highly recommend it! ❤️❤️

We went on the morning of a weekday and did the make your own ramen for, was a fun experience for all. Tickets were purchased ahead of time. We were walked through the full process and made our own ramen packs to take home. There were many schoolkids there probably on field trips, so I would recommend going at open to avoid lineups at the make your own cup noodle portion of the museum.

This was a very unique experience. You get to draw on your very own cup o noodles cup. The cup is 500 yen and you can buy up to 3 cups. You also get to customize your cup o noodle Ramen. There are only 4 choices of soup base to choose from, but there are a good amount of toppings you can choose (you get to choose 4 toppings). The line is pretty long to go through this whole process, but you get a pretty cool souvenir at the end. The museum has some cool information about how cup o noodles came to be.

This was a little gem we found. You have the chance of creating your own noodles :) both just the cup ones or literally learn how to make them 🥳 I did the cup only since I was in a rush. You can paint your own cup and then choose your flavors. What else do you want? Haha

  • 5/5 Johannes Nicolaus W. 2 years ago on Google
A small museum about the history of cup ramen. Unfortunately, it is currently only open for reservations. There is also a place where you can assemble your own cup ramen by choosing the ingredients.

  • 4/5 Angela P. 2 years ago on Google
Entrance to the museum is free you only pay for making your own cup noodles (400 yen per cup). It’s great for kids because they can draw and see how the ramen is made. The museum part is small but interesting. I think the best age is around 6-13 for children. For adults it may not be super interesting but is great to experience at least once!

Nice that you could customise your own cup in the museum. Was a fun experience. Only downside is that all the texts about the history were only in Japanese and there was no English translation sadly

A cool museum highlighting the history of cup noodle ramen specifically. Thought that this would cover ramen history more generally as well. I thought it was fun, but it’s a little bit of a trip outside of Osaka so if you’re strapped on time, maybe skip this stop.

Was there in 2017 and back again in 2022. They upkeep the place so well. It's as good as a brand new attraction. It's like it never aged! Clean and well maintained. Kudos. I don't mind heading back again every few years. We make our own cup noodles as u would know. The portion is definitely more than those sold in the stores.

It was an amazing experience. I just wish I had known about making a reservation for making our own noodles because I didn't see anything about that. Therefore, we didn't get to experience that. Otherwise, I highly recommend making a trip to the Cup Noodles Museum. It is for all ages.

Pretty interesting how cup noodles started, how they are made and all the inventions and patents that were in play. You can also create your own cup noodles or chicken ramen to take home and either eat it within a month or preserve it forever! 😎

As a tourist, our train ride dropped us off in a quiet, and beautiful area. It was sunny and early in the morning when we arrived and it made the short walk to the museum perfect. The museum was fun. We got to make our own cup of noodles and see the evolution of the simple ramen noodle.

Visited this place in March 2023, and it was an interesting experience. Getting there is fairly straightforward. There are signs clearly pointing to the place, and the locals are quite helpful too if you ask. Entrance is free. You can pay for the custom cup noodle making experience (well worth the 500 yen), but it's not compulsory. What's also great is that there's no long queue to get into this place (unlike most other places in Osaka!). If you are a fan of noodles, this is a must-visit place. Very interesting. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

My son was eager to visit this place due to its thrilling prospect of crafting one's own cup noodle. We went there during the Golden Week. We arrived around 2 pm and were fortunately surprised to find a short queue. We didn't have to wait long to get a table for the activity, and the three of us had a wonderful time focusing on designing our own cup noodles. The exhibition was captivating, and the movie shown in the theater effectively portrayed the brand's story. It was a memorable experience for all of us.

Best experience in Osaka Japan! It’s better for you to reserve an appointment before! So you can do the ramen making activities. From the station, they give you clear directions to go directly to the museum. The price for the custom cup noodle is 500¥. Then your can draw and have fun! The staff can speak decent English! You will definitely understand the instructions! One person can only purchase one custom cup noodle! Best option for a good souvenir from osaka!!

The place was very nice, suitable very kids and adults. Staff are friendly too. The only reason why i rated the place 4 stars, is because the museum didn’t have the story behind brand in English. The experience to draw on your own noodles cup, and fill it with your preferred ingredients was so interesting & fun. It took us around 30-40 minutes. I would highly recommend the place and would definitely revisit.

Cup Noodles Museum Osaka is a wonderful spot to craft your own cup noodle. You can customize the cup design and eventually choose 1 base + 4 toppings. It's a fun spot for both adults and kids all for 500 yen. The vending machine for the cup noodle only accepts 500 yen and 1000 yen payments. This spot is pretty navigatable even if you don't speak Japanese. You just need to line up. I suspect this spot will take 45 min to 1h 15 min for most folks.

  • 3/5 Roy C. 8 months ago on Google
The day that we visited was a weekday morning - it was quite packed even we arrived early in the morning. There were only two exhibition halls and a function area. The cup noodle making area was fun - you may need to line up for quite some time though. Compared to the one in Yokohama, this Osaka one is relatively small. It would not take more than an hour to finish the whole thing. The parking lot was at the back of the museum.
