It was less than stellar. Service was subpar; poor. Dirty and uncleaned tables. They tried to sit us at an uncleared table...We accumulated plates from 3 buffet trips and placed them at the end of the table. We were there for 1hr. and the server was at the table once in the beginning and then to give us the check. $0 tip given for 0 interaction with our table and not removing the empty plates. I will not be spending my time and money here in the future.

Thr best Chinese food in Independence. If you follow my reviews, you might have noticed I've been trying to find good Chinese food in town, but it's been all bad. However, Mama Garden is genuinely good. I don't usually eat at buffets so this was the last place I checked out, unfortunately for me. The food is well cooked and well seasoned, although the seafood is a bit overcooked. The variety is some of the best I have seen as well. You can find all your favorites here, including sushi. My waiter was also super attentive, even though the buffet was super busy. For $16 dollars I had a great time, great food, and a great deal.

This was my 1st time eating at this exact location of Mama Garden & it was superb! The food stays hot & fresh constantly & they have many choices. However this Mama Garden location gets super packed quickly; So you'd need to leave early to be there at a decent time.

Food is terrible. A lot of choices but it's not good. As you can see, you have to scoop your own ice cream. Mit sanitary at all. Please provide individual serving cups of a variety of ice cream if your going to provide ice cream!!!

Fairly standard Chinese buffet. Good selection of common dishes, food islands were clean and well kept, food was fresh and never low or running out. Sushi was solid too, sometimes you don't quite know what you are going to get but this was fresh! Wait staff was friendly and attentive.

This place is good. Located in independence not far from i70. The food was pretty fresh and they had a wide variety of the Asian buffet staples. Everything from egg drop soup to fried chicken. They had a good salad bar and quite a variety of fresh fruits and desserts. They also had good service. Our waitress made sure we had drinks and took plates away quickly. We will be coming back.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to when visiting my mom. There is a wide variety of food and I love that there is fresh sushi 🍣 available as well!!! Well worth the money!!!

There was alot of chicken dishes, 2 shrimp dishes and salmon. Ice cream in a bucket that you have to scoop out. Nice fruit bar. Hot n sour sour was fire! Salad bar was good.

Best in the city. Always fresh always friendly. Sushi bar, hibachi, to s of seafood, and the best hot and sour soup I've ever had. Usually pretty busy but the buffet is constantly refilled, never left empty. Wait staff is really friendly and always happy to help. Ten out of ten.

I typically don't like to go to buffets. The food is either poor quality or rarely warm or both. The good point here is it had a hibachi grill. So you can warm up the food that's on their buffet. Problem is that the food's been there for a while. That's typical for most buffets. So basically my expectations were met. Poor quality food and warm rather than hot.

So I went here on New Years Eve to get some dinner around 7 ish. When we showed up it was nice, but we were seated in the very back where they were doing silverware. The food was mediocre and the sushi did not taste good at all, it tasted kind of off too. After we ate and paid ($33 for 2 people) the woman who only got us drinks and took our plates demanded us to tip her??? Which was weird. When we got back home I started to feel sick too, and ended up throwing everything I ate back up. I believe the sushi I had eaten gave me food poisoning. We will not be coming back.

My family has been eating here since it opened. My son consumes the sushi. My husband enjoys the shrimp, and I enjoy all the vegetables, salads and chicken menu items. All the wait staff are sweet and helpful. But don't forget their family's original restaurant in Raytown - Mama China's. That little restaurant started their success.

My experience at 11:30 am on a Friday. The food was mediocre, not very fresh, but there was a expansive variety. Service was not overly helpful or pleasant, but not rude. There was a steady flow of customers, but I would liken this place to an Asian Golden Corral.

Place is super busy and was always changing out foods so everything was hot and fresh. The sushi selection was on the lower end of typical buffet style sushi. It was just ok. Nothing really stood out and amazed me. Go there if you are absolutely craving Chinese and you cannot go another foot.

I just moved here to Independence and have tried a couple other Chinese buffets. This establishment by far is friendlier and cleaner. Their food choices and prices are very good. There’s so much more flavor. Me and the family will be frequent diners.

My favorite restaurant over all, they always have good service, their food is so good, I personally recommend their chicken wings. It's always so clean and they try their hardest to ensure you have good service, I would recommend this to anyone👍 although the only thing I dislike is the prices, most of the time I will pay $100 or so but the food is good enough that I don't really care sometimes.

One of the best Asian buffets I've ever had usually not huge on Asian food, but all the food is fresh and constantly being changed. You literally want to try everything that they have. We always try local cuisines when out of town and this is top 5 when visiting kc area. Staff is prompt and friendly as well. No complaints at all. They even have party rooms as well as a huge dining area.

Great food! AMAZING variety!!! They usually do a good job of keeping things fresh. Not a phenomenal atmosphere; they must not have storage space, because a lot of piles of boxes/goods/unused equipment are sitting exposed throughout the restaurant.

Really good food. Reasonable staff and wait. Try the coconut chicken. It was sooooo good. The kids really had a great time and had a very wide selection for them to try. Even got them to try the bacon wrapped crab meat.

Service was very good. A lot of the food didn't look fresh and appeared to be hours old. Shrimp wasn't warm and food looked old. For what they're charging it would be nice to have the food hot and refreshed every so often instead of laying there for hours. Apple pie pastry was nice and hot though but that was the only thing I found.
