We celebrated our 3 year anniversary this weekend, so we wanted to go somewhere nice that we've never been before. Service was phenomenal & I have to give a personal thanks to Miguel for ensuring we had a great anniversary meal along with our specialized dessert plates! The experience of the restaurant alone makes it worth trying and the food was ALL to die for! Highly recommend making a reservation. :)

Insanely over-rated!! Far better value for money at other steak houses in Indy… (Visit 12/11/2021) Experience: Had a table for two reserved over one week in advance for a special occasion/milestone birthday (all communicated beforehand to the Fogo via ‘Open Table’ booking party). Not only did we have to wait over 30 minutes beyond our scheduled dining time for our table, but we were also seated at what is certainly the worst table in the restaurant (next to waiter stand, see pictures). Not once did a hostess or waitress acknowledge the occasion (why ask if there’s an occasion if it doesn’t matter to the service?), and the whole dining experience felt chaotic and rushed— like we were in our waiter’s way somehow… We stayed for just over an hour at the table, opting for the traditional Fogo experience of varied meats offered to the table with the option to visit the cold bar— we were only offered 6 different meat options (when paying $70 per diner with at least 15 different high quality meat cut options shown on the menu). We were asked 4-5 times by random staff members if they could clear our table while we waited for additional food options (that we had already paid for) to arrive— maybe this was to make room for more food but it didn’t feel that way since the waiter kept asking if we wanted the desert menu. When we finally decided to call it and accepted the desert menu, the waiter informed us that they were out of the most popular option (chocolate lava cake) and again failed to mention the birthday occasion or offer a free desert for the occasion (as is generally custom at any restaurant that charges $70+ per head….). We declined desert and the waiter dropped off our $160 check for 2. We paid and left feeling extremely disappointed and let down. Thought this was going to be an ultimate dining experience… turns out it’s just a scam to get you to pay extra money to eat pigs in a blanket off a sheath. Will not be returning and will be negatively recommending to friends, family and colleagues. As initially stated, any other steak house in Indianapolis charging these prices will offer 10x better service and 10x better food…. Cannot understand why this place is popular beyond the novelty of the Brazilian steak house theme.

MEAT OVERLOAD 😛 Ambience - a formal nice vibe to the place. 🌟🌟🌟 Service - the servers were taking a lot of time than expected to bring the meats to the table, could have acknowledged more and had a bit of awareness. 🌟🌟🌟 Salad bar - the salad bar was delicious with variety of options to choose from. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Meats - even though it took long for the meats to reach our table, all the meats were super tasty. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Because it was my birthday they offered us a free flan which in my opinion was delicious. Still drooling over the flan. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I made a reservation for 7:15 and was seated closer to 7:40, no worries. My husband, me and two kids were seated at a five person table. The waitress asked if we had dined here before and we stated we had not. We mentioned we saw a deal online for $39 per person. She immediately started taking the ready indicators off the table and saying we wouldn’t get the full selection and that not much more plus kids eat free. We felt a little overwhelmed and said the full would be fine. I ordered a coke and waters. When she visited to ask how we were doing I asked for the coke please. She just seemed annoyed. It could have been because it was a large table and we had kids that eat free. We waited a long time for the meats to come around and what did seemed to be same two guys. After 45 minutes and only trying a few meats the waitress asked if she could take my plate. I took my fork and knife and placed on other side of me. She reached across me to take the silverware that I just indicated I wanted to keep, all while we still had the green up and were actively trying look for the meats. I don’t like leaving terrible reviews but if your looking for a good place to splurge this is not it. The food was not great, the selection was sparse, the service felt like I was being rushed to turn a table. I spent $160 and left very disappointed. I will say whosever runs the salad bar may need a promotion because it was never out of anything and the food was delicious.

I read the reviews before going and I'm guessing that the one's who were disappointed must have had a bad night because our experience was awesome! We could have saved money by going earlier but because of others in our party we decided to go at 2:30 on a Sunday and pay the extra for the "complete experience." All the meat cuts including the bacon wrapped chicken were tender, juicy and rich in flavor. The staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Drinks were a little pricey but very good. We will definitely return. Thanks for a great experience!!

Absolutely amazing. Every cut of meat and the whole salad bar was fantastic, but hands down, the service was impeccable. I’ve worked in many restaurants and this has been one of the best experiences I have ever had. Benny was the best server. Easy 5 out of 5. They crushed it.

Amazing dining experience. It’s a upscale Brazilian steakhouse. Meat meat meat!!!!! Service: The food was amazing, and service was above and beyond for a busy Saturday afternoon. Everyone was very professional and prompt. Our server Taylor was very attentive and helpful with our order. Ambiance: The space is gorgeous and with thousand of bottles of wine racked up on the wall. Lovely old decor was quite calming. Food: I enjoyed the salad bar. The bar had items such as roasted cauliflower, marinated mushrooms, roasted artichoke hearts, mozzarella and tomatoes, salad (and the toppings), cheeses, fruits, deli meats, cold items, veggies- fixed a special way. We ended our meal with delicious caramel flan. The cheese bread for the table was the best part. The restaurant has meat servers that carries different racks of meat. That they will cut for you at the table. You can pick whatever meat you want as many times as you want. They do have vegetarian/ vegan options available. You can ask your server for the options available. Also, do yourself a favor and come empty stomach please.

This was my first time eating here and I must say that I had a very good time. The food was amazing and the staff is very polite and attentive. I plan on coming back and I highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it. The selection of meats is amazing! Shout-out to Benny for making the experience even better!

Came in at our reservation time, had a push back for 30 min due to the business which is the only hit on atmosphere for my rating. For the price, I would have wanted a Lil more privacy, we spent $400 for 2 and left $55 gratuity. If it was a 'get to know your neighbor style of eatery I'd have felt different. The food and gauchos were absolutely amazing with the simplicity of perfect tasting dishes seasoned only with rock salt. Natural flavors cooked to perfection. There was a quaint Lil bar attached for the wait which made it more pleasurable. Our party of hosts consisted of: Noah, Steven, Ethan, Sarah M., and Paige. When they said they functioned as a family, we was blessed in seeing just that. Forgot, you have caught our attention for many more visits. Thank you ~NUGS~

I had never been there before. I had the salmon and my girlfriend had meat service. The salmon was probably some of the best I have ever had. Cooked well with great flavor. Had multiple servers checking on us and making sure everything was taken care of. Everyone was very friendly. Would definitely recommend for a nice date night or for a group of people.

I recently dined at Fogo de Chão in Indianapolis, and while the steak was undeniably delicious and the salad bar offered an array of tempting choices, my experience left a bit to be desired. The pineapple old-fashioned, while enjoyable, felt more like a mixed drink than a traditional old-fashioned cocktail. My main gripe, however, is that this particular Fogo de Chão didn't quite meet the cleanliness and ambiance standards I've come to expect from this chain. Therefore, I'm giving it three stars.

Our experience was top notch, we come here for every celebrated moment! Every time we come to the Indy location Benny always stands out! He is not only personable and relatable but he makes every experience fun and "worth it"! I personally can't imagine a better server because we've never had one that tops Benny! We live 2 hours away and look forward to his service every time( even though he isn't our waiter). Our waitress was great too but Benny really stands out and is a staple for this location.

My family and I celebrated my Mother's 90th Birthday Celebration. Staff went out of their way to make sure things were perfect. Rachel and Kayla were outstanding. Accommodating, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!!

Even though I don’t eat pork and bacon we still enjoyed meat a lot and left the restaurant with full stomachs😀We loved our waiter (unfortunately, don’t remember his name), who was very attentive. We also got a free dessert from the restaurant as we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Highly recommend this place!

Entry staff and wait staff provided amazing service, and explained the menu in detail for first-time visitors. The market fresh buffet had a huge selection for all types of eaters, and as long as we had our tokens flipped, we were offered never-ending choices of meats! The atmosphere was perfect for a date, office celebration, adult birthday party, etc. Great service + food? Will definitely return often!

Our first time going and won't be the last. The food was incredible and the salad bar as you might say was just outstanding, then when we turned over the green card the meats just started coming. It was and excellent meal. We did order bloody Mary's but we couldn't drink them, it was nothing but pure alcohol and we could not drink them. The service was outstanding as well Yarid & Karina was very attentive to our needs and did an outstanding job.

This was my second time at Fogo this week alone.. and let me say, AMAZING! I never knew a place could have everything I need at once. This time I went for brunch and the waffles .. and hash brown casserole was splendid. Alcione was our waiter and had so much positive energy! He took care of all of our needs including Benny and Jack! They were supper pleasant and I will be back again! Once you come .. you’ll be addicted.

My wife and I try to go every year for an anniversary or birthday, and it’s amazing. Something to look forward to all year! It’s the best cut of meats all you can eat and you feel spoiled in the best way! And Our servers were great! Especially Michelle and Aylie!

This place is amazing. The staff is very friendly and caring. If you have a special occasion this is the place. It’s part buffet for your plate fillers(salad, beans, rice, cheese and so much more), but your meats are brought around on a grilling spit and they ask would you like some and they keep bringing all these different kinds of meat until you turn over this placard that says yes or no.

Unique experience that was fantastically delicious! Husband brought me here on a surprise date and the staff was amazing explaining how it all worked for me since I've never been to one. Can't say enough about the food and all you get! Definitely an unique experience that everyone should try! We did make a reservation and had to way around 40 minutes after our reservation other than that the night was perfect!

This was the ultimate place for my wife’s birthday dinner. Everything was magnanimous. Our waiter, Joe, was excellent in his delivery of the menu and the dining process. We had the whole experience and received the whole experience. The salad bar GREAT. The 21 day aged WAGYU PORTERHOUSE was to die for. The Chocolate Lava Cake…..no words can describe!😋

Of all the steakhouses in Indy that have a unique atmosphere as well as service, Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse tops them all. What's really amazing about is how servers can serve you meat on the spot and offer you which you like at a time if you keep the circle sign green and flip it red if you don't. I've never come here as often as I wish but hopefully that'll change soon.

Fogo is always a lovely treat. The brunch buffet is to die for and the meat service is always wonderful. One waitress, Alycia, overheard us discussing wanting lamb chops before we left, asked us how we'd like them, and brought us some fresh from the kitchen. Sarah M, Rachel, Kayla, and Christina did a fantastic job making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our anniversary and we even got a delicious dessert to celebrate with a sweet happy anniversary decorated plate. We will be back!

Every bite of food was outstanding and the customer service was excellent. Tallus, the manager, even went out of his way to give us an extra special dessert - which was to die for, as were the tres leches cake and chocolate brigadeiro! The highlight of our night was meeting Michelle. She kept our glasses full, put smiles on our faces and ensured we had an amazing time. We aren’t from Indianapolis but she made us feel like we were long lost friends who finally found our way home! The next time we are in town, we will make a beeline for Fogo. We can’t say enough good things!

If you have food allergies or sensitivities they went above and beyond to cater to things I can't have and even brought out a list of everything they carry to show me what allergens were in each item. Fantastic, delicious, great service every time we come.
