This hotel is absolutely beautiful! Great location to down town attractions and hospitals. The staff and service was above and beyond and the best I've had in a long time! We've had to stay in a lot of hotels due to my husband's cancer treatments and this hotel was by far our best stay. The restaurant had great food. The rooms were very nice and the amenities were great! The rates were a little higher than others, but you get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend!

Was able to book a room the day of and upgraded to a corner room to see the beautiful city! A worker came to change our air filter and a fan was brought to our room upon request. I have been greeted by each staff member as I walk by and daily room cleaning is available. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you for a great weekend experience.

I arrived for a business conference, and was told my room wasn't ready. Though it was before check-in, the hotel was hosting the conference and I expected the room to be ready when I got there. Not only was it not ready then, it was also not ready by check-in. In fact, my room wasn't ready until 8:45 PM that night. I was forced to attend my meetings in improper attire, and wait in the lobby when I was not occupied during those meetings. I had very little time to rest for the next day because of this. However, pushing past that, the rest of my visit was enjoyable. The room i eventually got was very clean and had a great view. Room service was also very prompt and helpful.

I’m usually one to be pretty content with most hotels. But this was not a very satisfactory stay. The lobby was gorgeous and there was many dining options including Starbucks. Those were the only perks we enjoyed. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. However, our room was handicap accessible which was fine even though we didn’t need it. But the shower tile wasn’t sloped enough for the water to just exit into the drain. So the whole bathroom floor was soaked and hazardous. The lighting in the bathroom was too dim and not a lot of counter space at all. We were surprised there was no microwave or fridge as most hotels provide these. I feel like there could also have been better signage. We could not find any stairs nor a sign indicating where there would be any. This is important to us as we experienced a hotel fire once. And the parking fee was outrageous, $57 per night?! Will not be staying here again.

The downtown Marriott was incredible! The inside lobby was luxurious and very relaxing, the built in bar is such a plus after a long night out coming back to the hotel. Our room was spotless and extremely clean, housekeeping was on top of their game every day we stayed. Also, DJ helped us with such great customer service and made our stay excellent and special! Couldn’t had asked for a better visit!

Update: Normally issues can be overcome by a great staff. Not the situation here, or at least not with the afternoon/late night team. Requested 2 blankets just before 1 pm. At 2 pm, I notified the front desk we had to step out, please place on bed. “Got it”. We arrived back at 11:45 PM, no blankets. Go downstairs, now Midnight, and the young lady at the desk informs me they have no overnight housekeeping. “But it’s been 10 hours!” The male then gets an embarrassed look on his face, may be related to the poor response from his partner, and he says “I’ll bring them to your room, which he did. Add to this the fact this property has zero vending machines. Why would you not? Nothing open (besides the bar). Making it tough. So, this is not such a tough decision. Knocked down further for the lack of refrigerator in room and only 4 ice machines with 16+ floors. Nice property. Staff are nice. I would give 1.5 if possible with google. It’s early in our stay, perhaps there is hope But I'm losing faith.

Indianapolis Marriott Downtown was a great stay. Conveniently located downtown close to several amenities such as the Convention Center, NCAA Hall of Champions, Eitljorg Museum, State Capital Building, Victory Field Baseball field of the minor league team, and within walking distance to many quality restaurants. I wanted the primary amenity of the fitness Center within the hotel. This hotel has everything you need to maintain your fitness goals. Equipment was clean and spaciously organized to accommodate several people. Parking is an expensive addition to your bill, so make sure to plan for it. The staff was extremely polite and pleasure to interact with. The valet team actual jogged to go get my car from the garage. You will be greeted with smiles and people who seem to genuinely want to make sure your stay is world-class. I highly recommend this as a great option for you in downtown Indy.

Everyone that I encountered in the hotel was extremely welcoming and friendly. The gym was also very nice, as were the multiple restaurants on site. I had read a previous review noting there were no in room refrigerators, but ours did have a small one which is of course helpful. The room itself was very comfortable and quiet. Only minor complaint would the $47/day parking fee, but that seems to be the going rate at a downtown hotel these days.

I was in town for 3 days for a work conference and had an amazing experience from the start! As soon as I pulled in the valet, Sergio (I believe was his name), was super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Once I was inside and checking in, I talked with Aaron Huber and he was extremely kind and helpful! He was extremely genuine and I loved our conversation! I continued to run into him while I was there and he went above and beyond with everything! His service and demeanor are the standards by which Hospitality should be held at! Amazing experience and I look forward to my next stay at the Marriott! Thank you!

This hotel is fantastic! The rooms are clean and modern. Plenty of lighting with the lamps and big windows. The gym is on the 3rd floor and is very well put together. Plenty of space between machines which are all clean and well maintained. They also have several restaurants and bars within the hotel on the 1st floor to provide options without ever having to leave. If you do leave however, you're within walking distance of pretty much everything you would want or need. Highly recommend!

Rooms are small and bare bones: no microwave, fridge, extra blankets, and only enough towels for three people in a four person room. I thought, “at least they’re clean!” Then my four-year-old stepped on a nose ring someone had lost in a high traffic area, which leads me to think maybe they don’t vacuum. We were on the 7th floor with lots of luggage/gear and waited 10 minutes for an elevator. There are 6, so I’m not sure why the long wait. The hotel offers parking but every spot was taken so we could not use it. I’m not sure I’d stay here again. The location was great though!

Was there for a state conference with over 3,000 students. Entire staff made us feel welcome. Very organized and efficient. Had huge amount of staff working to make it run smooth. From check-in to luggage storage to bus pick up, everything was well organized.

Very nice hotel with all the amenities you will need and more. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, variety of food options and staff at the market down in the lobby are very nice and are great people. Would love to stay again in the future.

Andrew Spade, thank you! You were very kind and attentive to our needs. We had a concern and you addressed it immediately. Exceptional service. Hotel is nice. Rooms are clean. Hotel is connected to the convention center, so the location was great for us.

Wonderful hotel! I had multiple items that I needed for work, and the entire staff was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond. Sam Grass especially went out of his way to help ensure I had a wonderful stay. Thank you for helping make a wonderful trip!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown! I was cheerfully greeted before I ever made it inside the front door, again once inside, and a third time at the desk. It certainly made me feel very warmly welcomed! The staff at check-in were very courteous and helpful. They explained everything I needed to know about my room, the hotel dining options, and even recommended a nail salon before guiding me towards the elevators to my room. This level of service was above and beyond what I expected or have experienced at other hotels. My room was immaculate and quiet with a beautiful view of the city. The gym was very clean and well-maintained throughout my stay. The food and drinks at Conner's and Rye Bar were fantastic. I was very impressed by the bartenders and wait staff who made my dining experiences wonderful. The convenience of having both Loaf & Vine and Starbucks in the building was unbeatable, especially to help me get to my early morning meetings. Wifi is free for Marriott Rewards Members (A FREE MEMBERSHIP!). It was easy to connect to and worked well while using multiple devices at once. I really liked that I had the option for my room key to be on my phone through the app! The building is connected to the downtown skywalk system where you can get to the convention center, mall, and other nearby buildings without going outside. It is conveniently located near many local attractions including the Indians baseball field, Pacers basketball arena, Lucas Oil football stadium, and countless restaurants and bars. Overall, I could not have asked for a better stay and I am so very glad I chose to stay at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown!

Very nice hotel I stayed at for a business conference. I had an initial issue with my room, and they were quick to get me a new room. The M Club lounge was nice and it was also great to stay in the same hotel that my conference was taking place in. Even if it was the host hotel for Iowa for the B1G Championship.

Spoke w/Andrew (Asst Director of Front Desk) 2 days before arriving for a 2-day conference about a possible cancellation due to a medical issue. He was very understanding, gracious, and accommodating. When I did arrive, there was an issue with my reservation (work had made the reservation). Chris (Front Desk Mgr) was also very gracious and helpful and all worked out well. The room was clean and up-to-date and hotel staff were kind. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Had an amazing stay while in town for work. Due to the hotel hosting fans for the Big X Championship game the lobby was extra busy. Mr. Ruiz took it upon himself to go above and beyond the expedite my check in and arrival to my room for a short stay. Thank you!

First of all, a shout out to Sergio and his crew (valet). We were there with a very large group of teens, and they went above and beyond to help us get back to the airport! Outstanding customer service! Second shout out to the rest of the hotel staff who also provided outstanding customer service throughout our stay. From courteous service in holding our bags after checkout, to helping with a malfunction in a room door lock, to helping us negotiate where we needed to go.

Great stay and service. The staff person in Loaf and Vine provided the best and nicest service on Sunday 3:15 pm. Food was good too. Come here often and usually stay at JW but will now be switching.

Taleya at the front desk was super helpful. I needed a delivery that was late and she got it to me on time for a meeting. Then after my flight was delayed she arranged a free late checkout so I could work in the room. Great employees like her turn a good hotel into something better.

Kylie is amazing. She worked in various locations at the Indianapolis Marriott downtown and did a fabulous job with a smile on her face. She took good care of us at Starbucks and then again in the M Club. Marriott needs more employees like her!!

Here’s a gem of advice: before any hotel booking, look at HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm It’s a game changer. Have visited this hotel for many years. Great property and location. I’d like to mention the event staff and the quality I noticed from them. Dan, the man who tirelessly worked to get our dance floor requirements met, was a cut above. We do events globally, and Dan stands out as the nicest, most friendly and genuine I’ve encountered. He took the time while he was working to get to know us and be able to recognize and anticipate what our needs would be during our stay. He checked in on us regularly and remembered our names. Absolutely delightful and an asset to the Marriott name. The restaurant here was above average. The burger came timely, fresh and cooked the way I wanted it. The check-in staff member was really great. Very personable. The beds were great and the water pressure was good too. Some of the west facing meeting rooms got hot in the afternoon due to direct sunlight and the AC was overwhelmed and wasn’t ideal. Everything else was wonderful.

I have been on the road traveling for work pretty much nonstop over the last 10 years. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and always have appreciated when the staff is really going that extra way to make you comfortable in the midst of busy and turbulent weekends. My experience at the Indianapolis downtown Marriott happened on a weekend where there were a bunch of activities and the hotel lobby was packed. The person checking me in, Aaron Huber, went out Of his way to make sure I was given individual attention and treated with respect and empathy. He ensured I got the best room possible and made sure I had options taken care of for dinner and had someone handle my luggage for me. Needless to say this is always nice in normal times but given how busy they were it made me feel like an individual person. The rest of my state was equally impactful. The staff was courteous and prompt with any room request. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to my next visit.

Front Desk Service was top tier, all thanks to DJ! He was beyond knowledgeable when we asked for suggestions on places to dine and nightlife. He made everything easy, to say the least. The ambiance of this Marriott location is both warm and upscale. Everything was clean, neat with a pleasant fragrance throughout! Whenever we come to Indianapolis, this is certainly our top choice for lodging.

Marriott are always good hotels. The rooms are nice. But there is NO ROOM SERVICE here this weekend. I understand we are in a pandemic, but even more the reason to have room service. The restaurant in the hotel - Conners - is struggling to serve people. And there is a cheer competition here this weekend and people need food and don't have a lot of time. This was a pretty epic failure by Marriott to serve its guests. They have a grab n go place but it's $6 for a 12 oz bottle of juice!!! And they close early in the evening. I didn't even check the price of the wine they sell there - I can only imagine...

Peter and Jeff at Connor’s Restaurant + Bar we’re phenomenal! We visited town from Colorado and they served us great drinks multiple times, but Peter was exceptional. We wanted to bring breakfast burritos to our Indy team, and had trouble finding spots that would be open on time or who would accept orders. Last minute we asked Peter to accommodate a large order of individually wrapped breakfast burritos, he DELIVERED AND THEY WERE PHENOMENAL. Highly this spot for the service and menu offered.

The staff at this hotel are sooo nice. My car battery died while we were staying there and the front desk staff called the other location and found someone to help jump my car. They didn't have to do that but I appreciate it so very much. The rooms are super clean as well.

  • 2/5 Amber S. 2 years ago on Google
It’s a very nice and clean hotel; however I was disappointed with how fancy it supposedly was. It is indeed fancy and modern, but they don’t have fridges in the rooms and there’s only one microwave in the whole building and it’s hard to find. The gym also has only one leg machine and no free bar. Lastly, there’s a food place there called the Loaf + Vine, and I purchased chicken from there just to find mold.

Pat at the front desk was awesome! He was extremely helpful and helped everyone in our party get rooms next to each other on the same floor. He was super accommodating and helped us with many other things during our stay! We had a great stay at this location!

  • 2/5 Jordan S. 2 years ago on Google
The fact you have to pay $35 just to park is ridiculous because their lot is full. That was the first annoyance. The lady at the front desk (younger and dark hair) was just plain rude. Did not greet us or even crack a smile. Clearly did not want to be there. The final straw is at 6 am when I needed to take a shower, it was ice cold. Freezing. It never turned hot. Try washing your hair in freezing water first thing in the morning. My husband took a cold shower next. Would never stay here again.

Nice place to stay! Staffs are very friendly. We arrived early in the morning. Pat was able to get us checked in early. Stayed for one day and had to get our schedule changed due to business needs. DJ arranged to get us checked our earlier. We really appreciate it. Super!

Great hotel to stay at if you’re attending an event in the area. There’s a sky bridge to the convention center and walkable to all the main attractions in the area. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. They have a very impressive lobby and bar. If you’re a platinum Marriot member the food in the M lounge is great. However, the restaurant did not have many options.

  • 2/5 Sherry G. 1 year ago on Google
Be warned there is not a mini refrigerator in the room and only 4 ice machines in the hotel, however, one of them was broken. When you are staying at the hotel for a volleyball tournament, those things are necessary. Guest staff was pleasant with all of my encounters.

Very nice place to stay. Food At Conner's was awesome. Staff was friendly. A short walk to St. Elmo's, which is a mandatory stop on the visit. Rooms are modern and clean. Beds were comfy. If there is a note I can give you- Be sure to keep your room key to get out of the parking garage. This was not conveyed to us at the check in very clearly. It cost 50 to get out of the garage but they did refund it to me with no issue. All is well. Would stay here again~

Amazing service. Gorgeous view of the city. Extremely clean. I love coming to the Downtown Marriott we always have the most wonderful time. The lobby is loaded with options for great food and drinks. We will be back!!

Great place to stay. Just enjoyed the lovely view from the 9th floor. Rooms and grounds are clean and very inviting. The breakfast was packing up the market had some nice options. Also Starbucks on site is a great option. Overall very happy with the stay and enjoyed the bar in the evening.

This hotel is of the best! The hotel staff went above and beyond in their service - caring and earnest. The in-room amenities (bed, sheets, pillows) were luxurious and helped my family sleep well amidst some late nights at the local hospital. I want to especially note that the front desk and valet provided some of the best service I’ve ever received.

  • 5/5 N J. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent service with a smile! Far exceeded expectations. Food at Connors was great...try the crab hush puppies. Girls at Starbucks as nice as can be. Thank you Chris for making us feel welcome, you should train others within the Bonvoy family on how to do it right! And thank you DJ for checking in to make sure all was well! A+ property because of the excellent service!

It's a very nice hotel. My only knock on it is, it is pricey and there's no free coffee or refills. Not a huge deal, but to me it is because coffee is my thing. But the facility is very clean, room was clean and in really great condition. Location adjacent to convention center was perfect. The staff were very helpful.

  • 4/5 D G. 10 months ago on Google
Staff was very professional, attentive, and kind. From the valet to the Starbucks inside the hotel to the wait staff at the catered meals during the event I attended. The 4 stars is for the lack of available trashcans in their conference/ ballroom (upstairs AND downstairs) area and the absolutely frigid temperatures. I found myself in need of a trash can multiple times with none anywhere to be found. Had to trek to the bathroom most times to throw something away or store it in my stuff and dispose of it in my room later. I attended an academic event that required a lot of sitting and concentration. This was unbearably difficult to do with what felt like 60 degree temperatures, if not colder. People of all shapes and sizes were feeling the frigid cold, so this was not a "just me" thing. The temperature in my room also could not be adjusted, which was frustrating. The AC was quiet at least. Overall would definitely recommend the hotel, but not necessarily to hold an event here unless the temperature could be better regulated.
