Absolutely incredible service. After getting engaged in the early hours of New Years Eve, we rang Susan on the off chance we could leave the ring in to be sized that day. Susan explained to us that they could do it for us in a couple of hours, which was fantastic. When we arrived into the shop, Susan greeted us and congratulated both of us in a genuinely warm way. When the ring was ready, only an hour later, both Martin and Susan chatted to us and made us feel like we were the only newly engaged couple they had ever dealt with. Top class craftsmanship and an excellent friendly service. I got my engagement ring restored and they did such a good job that I returned with an old three stone diamond ring to have it restored. Martin remounted it and it's a work of art - a beautiful ring which I am proud to wear again! Many thanks to Martin and also Susan who looked after everything. We purchased our engagement and wedding rings from Thomas Gear in 1984/5 and had the pleasure of having them made to our own design. Alas I lost my wedding ring some years ago, but was unable to replace it as raising the family took priority. We recently decided to approach Martin Gear jewellers to see if they could reproduce my wedding ring and must say that if was a delightful experience. In advance of the first visit we rang the shop and the lady on the phone was most helpful. Our visit to the shop was a delight, and was capped by seeing the man who originally made our rings still beavering away in the workshop . The ring was completed in less than a week and I must say was not over priced . We'll be back !!

I recently bought my fiancee a gorgeous engagement ring made by Martin himself. The entire process was amazing. Susan in particular was a delight to work with from the first time I set foot in the shop looking for a temporary ring to propose with. Following the successful popping of the question Susan and Martin were a great help in helping us source the perfect band and diamond to make my fiancee's dream ring. Martin Gear Jewellers was recommended to me through Facebook and I have to say I was not disappointed. Went in to look at wedding rings and had them picked within minutes with the help and expertise of the lovely Susan. The first ring I was shown was the ring I wanted! I wanted the band a little thicker and that was no problem. The rings were ready within a week. When collecting the rings, I brought another ring with me to get a stone replaced and Martin looked after us, again, no problem at all. The ring was back to me 3 days and sparkles more than it did when I first bought it! I could not recommend Martin Gear Jewellers enough. They are so professional, will find you what you are looking for and always keep your budget in mind. An amazing find!

What a gem of a place! From the moment I sent the email with my query about getting my engagement ring altered, I knew this place was special. They absolutely ruined my engagement ring. I have a silver and diamond ring that was flawless when I took it in, just a little small. They sized me and when I came back in to collect it was several sizes too big because they'd written it down wrong. They redid it and posted it to me. When it arrived, the back of the band was wonky, scratched, STILL the wrong size and was thinned out to the point where it cuts into my finger. I'm going to have to take it somewhere else to get it reshaped, refinished, thickened and resized. It's very upsetting. €60 wasted and who knows how much it'll cost to repair. Absolutely horrendous. Don't let them touch your jewellery! Still no response from Martin Gear on fixing the problem or refunding despite them responding to positive reviews very recently. I've just had to stop wearing it all together. Avoid at all costs!

Martin Gear Jewelers are great to do business with. Their customer service is fantastic. I was engagement ring shopping with virtually no knowledge of diamond's/rings. They basically explained everything that I needed to know and showed me a selection of different styles of rings. There was no pressure at any point of my time there to make a purchase. However I did find the ring I thought suitable and made the purchase. About three months later I returned to resize the ring and we received the same friendly reception as the first time. The process of resizing the ring was very quick and efficient. We left very satisfied. Martin Gear Jewelers should be your first stop for any jewelry needs, I highly recommend them.

I recently bought a gold men's neck chain in here and I would highly recommend this jewellers. The pricing was excellent and they were very trustworthy and up front about the weights and what exactly the materials are. I found similar weighted chains for almost double the price in shops around the area. Its probably the best place in town and I will be back for all future jewellery purchases.

I dropped into Martin's shop to look at signet rings. Martin showed me some of the various rings available. I asked about platinum rings and was pleasantly surprised to hear that they could be made to order. Not every jeweller's offer bespoke platinum jewellery in my experience. I decided on the right design, a beautiful heavy cushion signet. The was cast and I picked it up yesterday. It fits perfectly and the weight of it just feels amazing. I'll have this piece for many a year so I'm glad I went for a custom ring. I highly recommend Martin Gear Jewellers !

Really positive experience. Had the clasp replaced on a gold chain and all the prongs replaced on a diamond engagement ring, and had it cleaned. The chain was ready the next day and it was perfect. The diamond ring looks incredibly sparkly now, and no longer catches on everything. The difference is amazing! The team at Martin Gear are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Susan texted me when the jewellery was ready and pick up was pleasant and efficient. I believe it’s one of the few places left in Dublin that provides a full in-house service and I highly recommend them. I won’t go anywhere else for my jewellery needs from now on.

Having had a horrendous after sales experience with McDowell jewellers, I took a pair of earrings I bought there to Martin Gear. He couldn't have been more helpful and professional. He talked me through the options, we agreed a price, and he modified the earrings. The result was/is spectacular. I won't hesitate to go back if ever I need to. Superb customer service.

Our experience at Martin Gear Jewellers was fantastic! Martin was informative and helpful. We were able to pick out and try on many rings and he answered all our questions immediately. It was a much more straight forward approach than any other jewellers we had been to to pick out our engagement rings as he didn't try to convince us or have any frills about it. Martin was happy to allow me to walk out onto the street and see the ring I had chosen in natural light. We ended up buying both our engagement rings there on the spot and had them resized within the hour. The service was amazing! Most other places said we would have to return in a week for the resized rings. Also the price doesn't compare to the other jewellers we'd been to. Amazing prices for great quality rings. Martin said we could get the rings cleaned annually when we were around the store in Dublin, which was a lovely touch. We would highly recommend Martin Gear Jewellers for engagement rings! Martin and his Dad did a very intricate painstaking repair job on an antique ring; it looks really beautiful now! Susan talks you through your requirements and the options without ever trying to oversell. They have a fantastic choice of rings and other jewellery suitable for every budget and they regularly update their selection. I've also had rings resized here; they offer an excellent service. I can't recommend them highly enough. They're certainly my first choice!

Went to Martin for a custom made wedding ring, collected it today and its better than I imagined, the customer service was excellent they go above and beyond. Susan was great to deal with, no request was too much and kept in touch with each step of the process. Would highly recommend to anyone. Have never been in martins shop itself, but did go online to view. Items look very good and well priced in comparison to others. Emailed Martin with several questions about an engagement ring. He was very helpful and replied promptly. I explained my budget to him and asked that he might send me on some sample photos within my range, unfortunately, this is the only email that didn't warrant a reply. Otherwise I would have definitely gone for 5 star review

Please don't sell your jewellery to this store. They have lovely rings to buy but don't ever sell them anything. I was offered 35€ for a 9ct Gold ring that's not hollowed out with a black stone centred with a line of diamonds going through it. The ring its self cost 790€. So if you're reading this please dont sell your rings or necklaces or anything like that to any shop because you will not get your money's worth. However I saw lovely rings in this store to buy so I'd definitely recommend someone checking this place out if they are looking for jewellery. Thanks for the response Martin and helping me understand why my ring would cost so low to sell.

We got our rings today and are very happy - one of it was custom made by them to a high standard. They are also willing to make amendments to the rings, if required. I wanted to buy a holographic pendant for my partner but I wasn't sure what photo to use as I needed two different people together on it. After speaking to a very helpful lady called Susan in the store I was told I could have both sides of the pendant done so I could have one person on each side..problem solved! It took less than a week to be made and I received a text today to tell me it was ready. I have to say I am very impressed with how it turned out and I would highly recommend this jewellers. 👌

I can't praise them enough. Susan was absolutely amazing. Why: I was looking for engagement ring, but I had condition. I am out of money because my business. So I was looking for cheap ring. Everywhere where I said what range I am looking for. They all turn away and I felt they were not happy that I will not spend too much money in their shop. Last shop I was searching ( all online + phone calls - no time to go around shops) was Martin gear and I told my story and Susan was so so friendly and said no problem. This ring is beautiful and we will keep it for you here when you will be ready to collect. I was AMAZED. What a different approach. And I can tell now, if I would need Wedding ring or other jewellery where would I go.....yes you are right! Martin Gear. No question. Those folks lost customer. It doesn't matter I have no money now. But they don't know how much money I invested and how much money I can spend. Their loss and Martin Gear WIN :-) Happy and now I have to hope my girlfriend say YES to me

Martin did a superb job of incorporating a sentimental piece of old jewellery into my wedding ring. He explained to me exactly what would happen beforehand and the results did not dissapoint. I needed to value and possibly sell some items of jewellery which I didnt know much about. Was recommend to visit this store and I'm glad I did as I was advised on what was of value and what was not. Everything was carefully examined and explained. I had a great experience dealing with Martin himself and I'll be back to the store again.
