When
we
arrived
at
5PM
our
room
booked
weeks
before
was
not
ready.
They
said
because
of
our
having
to
wait,
they'd
upgraded
us,
though
we
had
already
paid
extra
for
a
'superior'
room.
When
we
saw
the
room,
we
couldn't
believe
how
tiny
it
was
-
not
even
room
for
an
armchair
-
just
enough
room
to
get
to
both
sides
of
the
double
bed.
I
went
down
to
the
reception
and
complained
and
was
told
(as
if
I
was
entirely
ignorant,
though
I
have
lived
in
Paris)
that
if
one
books
a
boutique
hotel,
all
the
rooms
are
small.
If
we
wanted
a
larger
room,
we
should
have
booked
at
one
of
the
chains,
e.g.
Novotel,
etc.
The
room
was
clean
and
there
was
a
kettle
-
in
spite
of
this
not
having
been
listed
on
the
amenities
for
the
room
when
booking.
The
shower
was
excellent,
even
if
one
could
just
open
the
door
and
fit
in.
On
one
of
the
days
of
our
stay
when
we
had
been
out
walking
from
early
morning
until
about
3:30,
when
we
returned,
our
room
still
had
not
been
made
up.
When
I
returned
to
reception,
I
was
told
that
they
had
to
see
to
the
rooms
from
which
guests
were
departing
first
and
if
I
had
told
them
that
we
would
be
returning
mid-afternoon,
they
would
have
made
up
our
room.
I
will
never
stay
in
this
hotel
again
as
the
attitude
is
that
they
have
their
way
of
doing
things
and
the
guests
should
accord!
Absurd.
And
there
are
definitely
boutique
hotels
that
are
roomier,
especially
if
one
has
already
upgraded
to
a
so-called
'superior'
room.
I
have
stayed
in
them!
