Beautiful hotel, but there’s room for improvement in service. The rooms and hotel are well appointed with nice amenities, but we had several points of service that have left a negative view. Upon arrival, no one was available to help with our bags, which required us to carry them up the stairs after a long week of travel throughout France. During a quick introduction to the hotel, we were told we could enjoy cocktails on the terrace if we went to the bar to get our drinks. So, we attempted to grab a drink to enjoy outside (as the bar was full), but were told this was not an option. A few hours later, we were preparing for dinner when housekeeping arrived around 7 pm, which aligns with the earliest dinner time in Paris, so we hadn’t left yet. I informed them that we would like turn down service after we left for our 8:15 reservation. Upon our return, we were very disappointed to see there was no turn down. When calling to the front desk to ask for the turn down chocolate, there was nothing he said he could do. However, the next morning upon checkout, a note was provided on the lack of turn down and my spa service had been comped, so it was a nice recovery. Following our checkout, we were graciously helped with our bags and loaded into our vehicle, so it felt like there was some additional attention after the note. A few areas have room for improvement to truly be considered 5 star. Even the simple acts of having a bellman or doorman greet guests was missing. A few times it felt as if we were a nuisance to staff for having a request. What makes a hotel considered 5 star is not only the facilities, but heavily weighted on the level of service. I think to consider the Saint James truly a luxury property, all staff members should aim to make guests feel welcomed, and not more like an inconvenience.

Excellent service and beautiful rooms. We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas and had an exceptional time. Unique feature is the pool, sauna, spa and steam room facilities—pretty rare for a central Paris location. Things I noticed: - refurbished heritage hotel, decorated beautifully. - turn down service every night with different local confectionery each day (Angelina’s included) - excellent fitness centre and pool - thoughtful staff over Christmas—they gave us a Christmas stocking on Christmas morning. They also gave our nephew a Christmas present at breakfast time. Only downside is that it is a bit far from most of the landmarks in Paris meaning a metro or Uber most days (though it is a very close walk to the Eiffel Tower and Arc d Triumph). Highly recommended to couples or families. Pet friendly—seen many dogs (and a hotel cat).

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Saint James Paris, and had an incredible time. From the moment we arrived, we received world class customer service from every staff member we met. The property and the grounds were magnificent and well maintained. Our room, which overlooked the water fountain, was beautifully furnished, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom and all its amenities and fixtures were amazing. We dined in the restaurant for breakfast almost daily, and we had dinner one night at Bellefeuille where we had a fantastic 9-course meal. We loved how intimate, secluded, and elegant the property was. Everyone at and everything about this hotel is exceptional. We can't wait to go back.

Amazing. What else can I say, the attention to detail and consistency in service is great, why stay at a giant hotel when you’re greeted by name and feel like home here. I always felt welcomed and cared for. The spa was also a great intimate experience. As for the atmosphere; very well done, it is traditional but not stuffy, the entire space is gorgeous and had lots of little well thought out details that made it feel extra luxurious. Wish the pool was completed when i was there, next time then ;)

Highly recommended, especially as they’re currently undergoing some minor construction improvements out front as of Fall ‘23 and can only get better. Saint James Paris was our base of operations for a dual work trip and a family vacation this year, and we could not have been happier. Expert assistance to and from the airport. Lovely grounds. The mansion and rooms were beautiful, spacious, and unique, and the location was great for walking to amenities and some sites - otherwise the desks were always helpful in getting us a taxi. The spa experience was wonderful - indeed the whole hotel smells wonderful. The concierge was incredibly helpful in assisting with bookings - both large and small. The all-day champagne tour was a highlight! They cared greatly for our comfort, safety, and happiness during our entire stay. Excellent recommendations from them and the wait staff for both restaurants and museums. The chef and kitchen staff were so accommodating to our gluten-free and vegan needs. Breakfasts were a delight and dinner was one off the most unique and delicious we’ve ever had. The chefs three course lunch should not be overlooked. And the wait staff was so lovely as well. The library bar has some of the best drinks we’ve ever had - fantastic bartenders. Housekeeping, laundry service, and room service were kind and helpful. Pilou, the hotels’ cat-in-residence, was also a hit. Pilou, if you’re reading this, we miss you and love you.

Elegant and lovely property that is ideally situated in the 16e. Service is very good and rooms are well appointed. The bar is a perfect hideaway for an afternoon cocktail or relaxing evening.

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of this property, from the highly professional staff, to the gorgeous building and grounds, to the mouthwatering food and drinks and overall ambiance. Our suite was located on two levels with a unique spiral staircase, with numerous storage closets, an intriguing design and wonderful amenities. The bathroom was particularly impressive. This hotel is the ultimate in luxury and a wonderfully peaceful jumping off point for all of Paris' wonderful attractions. Our only regrets were not having time to use the spa/pool and not catching a glimpse of the resident cat, Pilou!

My wife and I just finished our 3rd stay at Saint James in 17 months. To say we love this hotel is an understatement and is by far our favorite hotel in Paris. The chateau and rooms are beautifully designed and the staff and service are second to none. We love the location as it is in a more quiet part of Paris away from all the tourists, but not remote by any means. From the wonderful breakfast, the beautiful library and outdoor terrace bars, and the spa and fitness amenities, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy after a long day of activities. The staff and concierge has accommodated every request we’ve asked and really helps our stay feel that much more luxurious. It truly feels like an oasis in Paris. We’ve stayed here in the winter, spring, and summer and each time has been magical. However, the main highlight of our visits is the king of the chateau, Pilou, their resident cat. He’s a bit hard to catch but you can almost always find him napping in the restaurant during breakfast service. He’s a welcome sight every time we visit and truly makes our stays better as we often miss our own cats at home. We have recommended Saint James to many of our friends and family and have nothing but great things to say. It has become the focal point of our trips to Paris and we look forward to our next visit!

With this being my first visit in Paris and spending my second night here after coming from another 5 star Hotel, The Saint James Paris blew my expectations away! Very Parisian, every little detail had a great touch from the room, the garden, the Library Bar, the amazing breakfast, and the Spa. The Staff were extremely professional and attentive and provided a very warm welcome. Perfect for couples, when in Paris again, we will be staying here!

After a long drive from London, we arrived at the hotel and were warmly greeted by the staff. Check-in was prompt, and we were immediately shown to our beautiful and flawless rooms. As a family of five, we had booked a suite and a superior room, both of which were very comfortable. The mini bar offered a good selection of snacks and drinks, and the room had a coffee machine with the option of fresh milk upon request. Lastly, the breakfast was simply fantastic, offering a taste of France that you can truly savour. The hotel's location was excellent, slightly away from the bustling areas of Paris, but a short taxi ride easily took us to all the main attractions. The concierge was incredibly helpful, assisting us in making restaurant reservations, organising a boat trip, and arranging our visit to the Eiffel Tower. We must give a special shout-out to the porter who went above and beyond to help us pack our car, despite having a substantial amount of luggage.

We visit hotels such as the Saint James because we appreciate a) excellent service and hospitatility and b) specific individual offers or features. We decided for the Saint James again because we made very good experiences during former stays. And because we very much like the bar. Unfortunately, it was closed prior to midnight, even on Friday and Saturday, and completely booked when we tried to go for a coffee. We chose this hotel because of the pool. Unfortunately, it was not opened until our departure. Quite disappointing: The overall service level that we had experienced was not one of great hospitality.

Very nice stay at Saint James. Really gorgeous hotel and very kind staff. The only negative feedback I have is regarding the food. I do not mind paying a high price when eating at a place like this, but the dishes were small portions and not that special. During breakfast the service was messy and received the wrong orders and while the server acknowledged we didn't get the right order, he did not apologize or offer anything for compensation. Apart from this we did have an absolutely wonderful time here so I do definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful experience here. The hotel is phenomenal and the staff is friendly and courteous. We enjoyed our stay and the location to everything we wanted to do and see was perfect. This is a 5 Star, First Class experience.

My favorite hotel in Paris. The interior and details of the place was spot on. The hotel got us a welcoming gift of a very nice white wine. The room was spacious and very clean. The spa and the pool was phenomenal. We had a very good breakfast which has a variety of selection and served to us fresh not buffet style. All the staffs are friendly and very accommodating. Can’t wait to be back :)

Everything about the Saint James Paris was perfect. We stayed there for ten nights and hated to leave. The hotel is beautiful, but what made this so special was the staff, the service, the attention to detail, the way they went WAY out of their way to make sure we were happy. (We were!) The lighting in the room may have been the best in any hotel I've ever visited - lots of choices: lamps, spotlights, reading lights, foyer light, lighted makeup mirror. The bed was comfortable and the room decor was beyond lovely. We ate breakfast in the dining room every day, plus one lunch and one dinner, and, of course, snacks in the bar. Everything was first class..

I had such a perfect experience staying at the Saint James Paris. The staff truly went above and beyond. From upgrading our room, to leaving champagne for my friend because it was his birthday. I wish I remember the staff member who helped us get a taxi! (he was very sweet and told me the hotel cat was his boss, haha). I do remember Matthieu, a man who worked the front desk. Matthieu was super helpful and very nice. He took his time to go over every detail with us and I really appreciated it. As far as the hotel itself, the breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Very fresh pastries, amazing fresh juice, the best coffee, etc. The hotel bar was stunning and the drinks were amazing. The bartender even went up to us and took his time to describe how they make each drink. You can just tell everyone working there really cares about giving you the absolutely best experience. It was my first time in Paris and the Saint James made it such a memorable trip. Also, the gym and pool is very clean and gorgeous. It feels like you are staying at a beautiful castle. Highly, highly recommend!

We stayed at The Saint James on the first part of our honeymoon, the grounds are absolutely stunning, and the interior design is breathtaking. The staff are lovely and very accommodating! We had a great experience and would recommend staying here to anyone! I can’t wait to be back! The only difficulty is Uber drivers had a difficult time finding the location but nothing to do with the hotel!

A charming property tucked away from the crowds of Paris, yet within walking distance of everything. Each part of the hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are quite comfortable. The spa was under renovation during our stay, but we still enjoyed the lovely indoor pool and sauna. I certainly plan on returning here for my next stay in Paris!

I only stayed one night at the St. James but every moment was spectacular. The grounds were impeccably kept, the lobby and bar areas were exceptionally stylish yet inviting, and the room was divinely comfortable. The only element that could top the ambiance was the hospitality of the staff - everyone from the Valet to the Concierge was masterful in making us feel welcomed and taken care of during our stay. I very much recommend anyone visiting Paris to treat yourself to at least one night at this property!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff was a delight, the rooms were gorgeous, and the grounds were even better than the pictures. It exceeded our expectations in every way. We were there over Christmas, and they even left stockings on the door! A lot of wonderful touches to make you feel at home and make it even harder to leave. The location was wonderful and was a quiet repose after a day around the city. Absolutely recommend and I know my husband and I won’t stay anywhere else in Paris moving forward. We stayed in Saint James Paris in October. Everything was to our expectations and even better! Our room was very spacious and very clean with some personal touches. Service, bar, restaurant were excellent, and I wouldn’t change even one thing. Location is perfect, very calm and quiet area with a lot of nice restaurants within a walking distance. I would definitely recommend Saint James Paris and I hope I will be back in the near future! Thank you very much to the entire team at Saint James for making our stay exceptional and memorable.

Super well located for all the embassy work. Next to the embassy district. Free and secured parking during the stay. This is a big plus in Paris at this location. Staffs are super friendly, the redesign of the hotel is refreshing. The mirrors design give the stairs a magic feel compared to the hot balloon wallpaper they used to have for the stairs. Beware of cat allergy, they have a guardian cat

I was checked in by Thomas who was charming and most welcoming. The room was lovely, overlooking the fountain and quiet other than the sound of the water. Good room amenities with efforts to provide sustainability with the large toiletries and paper cases for the cotton wool pads and buds. Ideally I would like usb ports in the lounge area to charge my phone. I had room services which was delicious and arrived swiftly and efficiently. I have ordered room service many time and never have received such crispy chips! Thank you for your kind attention.

We stayed at the Saint James Paris for 3 nights right after the reopening in July 2021. Despite some minor hick-ups with the rooms which I am sure will be addressed we had an amazing time at the hotel. The service is absolutely fantastic, personalized, discrete, professional, and friendly. The breakfast is delicious and there is plenty of options to choose from. The library lounge is a great place to have a drink and hang out. For those who have to work it may also be good to hear that the wifi is fast and reliable and more than sufficient for video calls. At the time of our visit, the outdoor space was not fully completed yet and we look forward to visiting again and all the renovations are done.

From the moment we entered the circle drive through the gates, we felt as if we had entered a rarified place. The concierge team was deeply welcoming, warm and gracious, the front desk made us feel like VIPs, and the building and grounds were absolutely gorgeous. I repeat---gorgeous. The hotel is outfitted in top quality materials and finishes and has an elegantly grand and established feeling, while also boasting all the freshness of its recent remodel. The newly opened garden with pergola is lovely, and a perfect place to take breakfast or lazy afternoon cocktail, with an inspired menu by Chef Julien Dumas. No request was too big or too small. Several times we asked for drinks or snacks between or "after hours" and the staff jumped at the opportunity to serve us in the bar. Mathieu, the head bartender was like our personal valet, greeting us for breakfast, making sure the wait staff was taking care of us, giving us tastings of special reserve alcohols, and on our final night---packaging a special set up of ice, champagne and cups to take to see the Eiffel Tower sparkles go off at midnight. We already miss you, Matthieu! You are one of a kind among the top 1%. We will never forget the kindness and luxury we felt at the Saint James. If you are going to splurge anywhere in Paris, make it here. And don't worry about being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood---you are just minutes from anywhere else you want to be.

This is an awesome period hotel. I particularly like the room interiors. They are unique in themselves. Service is very French. The location is very ideal, proximity to yhe metro, park and supermarkets. Oh do not mess with the cat at the restaurant! It owns the place.

We had a wonderful stay at the Saint-James. Everything was perfect (and I do not use that word lightly) from the moment we entered the property. The staff, particularly the concierges, were amazing and extremely helpful. The breakfasts were generous and we appreciated all the attention to detail in the just remodelled room. We really felt as though we had our own private hotel particulier for a week.

I had a wonderful stay at the Saint James. The chateau is beautiful and elegant yet cozy and quiet. The room was surprisingly spacious and well equipped including with some treats from Angelina. The service was first class. I emailed the concierge a couple of weeks in advance and they were able to get me into all of the trendy restaurants on my list. Very quick to respond too. I arrived hours before check-in and while my room was understandably not ready, they gave me a spa room to freshen up and change after a long flight. I also loved the neighborhood, the 16th district is charming. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower but isn’t bustling with tourists. Overall I’d highly recommend this hotel, and hope to return again one day!

Wonderful experience in Paris! Spent the first night of my honeymoon here and enjoyed every minute. Started out with couples massages and then enjoyed cocktails at the outdoor bar. Walking distance to Eiffel Tower and so much more. My husband said the breakfast at the Saint James was the best he’s had. Great service and staff. Thank you Saint James!

This hotel is absolute Parisian magic in the heart of the city. The grounds feel so intimate and private, but you're only steps away from cafes and the Eiffel Tower. I loved the historic charm and french elegance of the building and guest rooms. Breakfast was delicious and unique each day. The best hotel in the city if you're looking for an upscale and french experience—I will be coming back!

Our room was superb with a very comfortable bed, our visits to the library bar were most enjoyable, the breakfasts were excellent including the amazingly attentive service and the relaxing pool, sauna and steam room facility greatly enhanced our experience. We highly recommend Saint James for its unsurpassed customer care in such beautiful surroundings and very much hope to return some day to this gem of a retreat in the magical city of Paris.

This property was really one of the highlights of our visit to Paris. Set in beautiful gardens and with lovely rooms that are so special and distinctive from most hotels. However, the real highlight is the staff! Everyone we encountered was so delightful and friendly (special shout out to Arnold, the rest of the concierge team, and the check out desk - who all handled misunderstandings [our fault] with the utmost professionalism). The hotel also had a lovely welcome gift and the spa gave me a skincare gift after a treatment on my birthday. Overall, I cannot say enough good things!

Amazing service, beautiful premises and amenities. I was injured and on a roller scooter my entire trip and they aided me with that and getting in and out and down the stairs. Upgraded our room when we arrived we were living in the Tony Montana suite or something. Unbelievable hotel with some eye catching decorations all throughout. Took a swim in the pool it was very peaceful. Rooms were quiet and private, clean, serviced very quickly whenever we called. The dinner booking in the hotel was like an show experience, something we did not expect. One of the best parts of our trip to Paris was our stay here we thank you for your hospitality. This review is about 9 months late please forgive us it's a cultural thing.. we are black. haha Love to Saint James Paris!
