Had the most amazing lunch here. The restaurant has great atmosphere, quiet, very enjoyable. The sushi was incredible. Sushi rice perfect holds doesn’t fall apart. The fish was amazing too. The eel sushi was large which was appreciated a lot. I also enjoyed the beef sushi super tender. The rolls were really good. Especially spicy salmon. The service is also amazing, super attentive and lovely. Can’t wait to be back for more! :)

One of the best finds so far in Paris. Extremely delicious food. Fatty tuna nigiri and maki are top notch. Assorted sashimi was decent too. We tried Sukiyaki with wagyu beef for the first time and loved it! Highly recommend this place to Japanese food lovers. Can’t wait to come back.

We booked our dinner online, but due to a last-minute schedule change, we called the restaurant to reschedule our reservation. The man graciously accepted our rescheduling and we arrived on time for our reservation. But when we got there, the woman told us that our reservation had been canceled. And they said this as if it was our fault. I had booked sukiyaki for two online, but they said they didn't even have that ready. We asked who answered the phone to reschedule our reservation and they said no one answered the phone (then what is my call log?) Everyone makes mistakes, but we were very disappointed with the lie and their attitude. They didn't even apologize, they just spoke as if they were doing us a favor for not being able to make the reservation. Anyway, the food quality was very good, but we had a very difficult time getting staff to come out throughout the evening and it was disappointing to have a special dinner ruined.

Sukiyaki is a unfamiliar dish similar to nabe, but with less broth and more vegetables, but with a unique sauce. After lightly blanching the tender wagyu, put it in the sauce prepared by the chef and eat it together. The taste is amazing. The staff prepares the dishes and serves them with sincerity. There is also a wide variety of premium sake. It's a bit expensive, but once you try it, you won't regret it.

One of the greatest Japanese restaurants in Paris. Pricey but worthy. Must try the foie gras sushis. Average price per person at night around 50-80€ without beverage.

Super popular Japanese restaurant in Paris, better to make a reservation. A bit pricey but the price also reflects on the quality

I'm not sure if the photos can bring out how amazing these dishes are. The employees were very nice as well. Would definitely recommend to drop! Great suki yaki, book in advance!🥰

Last time I was in Paris in Feb, we had fabulous shabu shabu dinner at the most famous and oldest Japanese restaurant in town, Takara. Shabu shabu is wonderful and the service is also great. Their shabu shabu is the best, better than what we had in Kyoto. Highly recommended and another favorite in Paris.

Great sushi, no need to add other ingredient and is already delicious. The restaurant is clean with many decos of Japan, the servers are friendly. Will come again!

Another great Paris sushi address, great quality sushi. Nothing too fussy. Make sure to book because it is small and always busy.

We ordered two wagyu sukiyaki menu and we did not get the rice and udon noddle. When I asked the waiter, he said because we ate fast that he didn’t get time to prepare….I felt strange because we spent 30-40mins to eat sukiyaki and It was no sense to spend so much time to prepare udon… I thought he just forgot and gave me the excuse….otherwise he should inform me that I ate too fast or if I would to wait for our rice and noodle. When I am back home and write review on the Chinese small red book. Another person had the same experience as me: no rice and no noddle served. They were polite the waiters but this did destroy my feeling… especially we spent 118 euros per person for wagyu menu and we may deserve a better and honest service…. I like sake very much… sukiyaki itself, en just so so…

Absolutely loved the sukiyaki and unadon (grilled eel rice bowl)! The food quality was awesome and the sukiyaki taste was even better than the ones I had in Tokyo. It is a bit pricy but I would still recommend it!

Authentic sushi restaurant located in the centre of Paris with a steep price. The quality of the fish was high and the miso soup also tasted amazing. However, it was not worth the price. My sushi set costs around €28 for 11 pieces. The nigiri was delicious but i was disappointed that upon closer inspection the maki wasn’t even rolled properly. My partner got sashimi with avocado served with rice which tasted nice but nothing spectacular especially compared to the price (also around €27). I would not recommend unless you have a very fat wallet. Im sure there are other sushi restaurants in Paris with a higher price for value.

Its my favourite authentic japanese restaurant in town. During covid they find it hard to source consistent supply for their regular menu, so it has been limited menu choices. Mainly shabu2. But they also have sushis tempura and soba in set type. Some sushi items can be ordered ala carte. Réservation is a must. They are always fully booked on weekends and evening time.

A wonderful restaurant with warm and accommodating service. My youngest son wanted to try shabu shabu for the first time and the staff made the experience special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, reminding me of my days in Japan. It was traditional in many ways and had a mixture of familiar locals and travelers from around the world. The quality of the beef and sashimi was fresh and of the highest quality. The accompaniments and small touches were impressive. The team speaks Japanese, French and English which makes it inviting for first time travelers or experienced globe trotters in Paris. Thank you for allowing us to join for a fantastic meal. ❤️🙌🏼😋

Takara is now one of my favourite places for Japanese in Paris ❤️ I’ve dined in many places before but the food and atmosphere here is quite authentic and unparalleled in my opinion, having been to Japan many times, you can feel that energy in this place too. The food was so delicious, the staff members really care and they take the time to explain how to properly eat some dishes, making the experience even better. Thank you for a great time 🙌🏽

We had the tuna and toro maki rolls - they were so, so fresh and the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to Japan!). Sukiyaki was delicious too, but quite pricey. Would recommend :)

Authentic and properly prepared Japanese food is quite a rare thing in Paris. Takara delivers authenticity and delicious and is one of the very best Japanese restaurants I have been to in France. Having grown up in San Francisco, I am used to a very high standard of Asian cuisine in general, and Takara was very impressive to me. Love the way the offer different classic dishes not usually seen in sushi restaurants in Paris, like Shabu Shabu. The quality of their fish is very noticeable and the flambé fatty tuna with ponzu was absolutely delicious. Be warned though, if you are expecting the same prices for sushi as the generic sushi joints in Paris, you should look at the menu before going here. Takara is very reasonably priced for the quality of what they serve you. If you want to experience authentic Japanese cuisine in Paris, you will not be disappointed.
