A superb, magnificent dining experience! L'Apibo is a very small restaurant that gives a feeling somewhere between dining in the caves of a Champagne winery (we loved the exposed stone wall) and being packed into a small house for a busy holiday dinner with family. The dishes featured elegant presentations and were wonderfully elevated, yet the flavors of everything felt approachable and very reminiscent of the hearty warmth you might expect from a grandmother's cooking. For this high quality at such an affordable price I would give L'Apibo 10 stars if it would let me.

Overall very good but no “aha” moments where the dishes struck us as standouts on flavor or innovation. The pigeonneau was very good as was the potimarron soup with smoked haddock and the Cointreau soufflé for dessert was very tasty. Atmosphere is pleasant and service quite good. Fixed price menus were reasonable for this higher end restaurant mentioned in the Michelin guide. Other reviews led us to expect more so perhaps our expectations were too high.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. The price to performance ratio is off the chart. We had a magnificent evening and they were able to adjust to all our dietary restrictions. Thank you for the amazing night and i wish you all the best for the future. Only small complaint is the lack of amex support for payment, but i can look the other way for that.

Course menu is good bang for buck. Clean restaurant, quick service. Food is also clean and felt decently healthy.

We were very excited to try out this restaurant based on the other reviews, we made a booking on Google which was very easy. When we got to the restaurant we were greeted right away by the friendly waitress who was very patient with our broken french. The menu was quite straight forward and the wine offerings were expansive. Although they didn’t have some of the items we wanted we were given great alternatives. The sommelier recommended a great wine and provided excellent service. Our starters arrived on time and were delicious, unfortunately this is where the experience ended as they completely forgot about our mains and left us waiting a good 30 minutes. When the table next to us who arrived a lot later received their mains they realised they made a mistake and by this time the mood was ruined. We decided to call it a night and they kindly only just charged us for the wine. Rating this 4 stars because the service and food was still delicious and if the mains arrived I’m sure it would have a been a 5 star experience.

A superb meal and incredible value. We stopped in after seeing the high rating on Google Maps and must say, it's well deserved. The dishes are beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. We found it quite affordable as well, given the quality of the meal and presentation. Service was also impeccable and personable. Definitely recommend.

Fine dining must not be my cup of tea. The tastes were too subtle for me. But I could see that a lot of great work has gone into each dish.

Nice atmosphere, lively street, always something going on. Friendly staff. Food wise, a little disappointing overall. Was a fun experience. Staff speaks English and French Chef's choice for 3 levels of plating. I had the carte blanche 5 courses no restrictions: 1) salmon, marinated, served with a cream and pickled courgettes-- must have with the courgettes! Salmon a little tough and hard to cut. 2) watermelon, with Coppa ham and Thon(?) cheese - tasty but not sure if it's just me, the ham was also hard to cut and tough to chew. Great combo of flavors. 3) sea bass on black rice with eggplant puree, sesame cream, smoked paprika sauce and a shiso/perilla leaf- my favorite!!!! Perfectly cooked fish, crackly skin. Perfect with perilla. Delicious rice. 4) pork - not my cup of tea, though the server says usually everyone likes it 5) figs with sesame crackle, vanilla ice cream - delish.

Had this place on my list for quite sometime and was very glad I ended up trying it out! The quality of the food is excellent, presentation is eye pleasing using typical French bistro presentations, and all the food was perfectly executed, and also had surprising ingredient combinations, given the affordability of the menu’s prices. The service was friendly, which made us feel comfortable at our table, and the atmosphere is family friendly but can also be perfect for a romantic date. Overall I highly suggest this restaurant in Paris and make sure to book at least 3/4 days in advance for a table on the weekend.

A delicious and romantic meal with a creative menu. We loved everything that we ate. Be sure to make a reservation! We appreciated that they had a set menu price for entré, plat, and dessert, making it more affordable for us to eat at a nice restaurant.

Excellent service, food and wine. Get the risotto! Get the 2 or 3 course menu option. So good we went back twice during our Paris stay. The pictures with the dark tabletop was from the 2nd visit where we sat outside. *We do prefer sitting inside where it is more lively and service a bit more attentive.

Very small, very crowded, very loud. Sitting elbow to elbow with our neighbors on a Saturday night, the restaurant has the ambiance of an overfull economy flight. We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to bring water or take our order, then we left. When others write the service is “relaxed” they mean there is one waitress for all the tables. Fortunately we were able to get in to another restaurant in the Michelin Guide nearby and had a wonderful time.

We loved this restaurant. It is very intimate and service is great! We had the 3 course meal and everything was amazing. A must try is the artichoke starter, the pork as a main and the soufflé as dessert. Excellent! Highly recommend!!

You must make a reservation in this place! First of all the atmosphere of this place is amazing, the small place with the friendly waiters turns the restaurant into a cousey "homey" place which is just wonderful The food was soooo good, we enjoyed every bite and it was such a great dinner The duck was made to perfection with a tasteful sauce and variety of side vegetables. The fish had a tasty pepper sauce that wrapped the whole dish together I really recommend everyone who visited Paris to try and get a reservation, it will be an experience you will not forget

This nice and easy restaurant in the small liver my street of Montorgueil area. This place serves fine bistrot dishes, everything is great, from the plate to the service. Lunch menu at 34€ is a great deal. However 3 courses meal at 47€ or carte blanche 5 serving also available. Best to book online, recommended!

Amazing place to have dinner. We have been traveling around europe for the last few weeks and this is at the top of our list for one of the best places we have dined. Everything was delicious and unique. Great vibe inside the small and cozy restaurant. Very fun neighborhood with great character.

The food was absolutely amazing. Very gastronomic for a small bistro/restaurant. We had a lovely night here with my sister and brother.

Excellent choice! I was traveling solo and felt a little uncomfortable making a reservation for 1, but in the end this cozy restaurant was perfect. The staff were so kind and helpful, and the food was just delicious! I had the steak for dinner with the chocolate cookie/mousse dessert and both were amazing. The manager suggested a very nice red wine as well. Everything was fantastic, and I'd highly recommend!

Outstanding food in tiny restaurant with convivial atmosphere. Reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Outstanding dishes were all :) but specially the food gras, the pork and the caramelized pear (foto below). I really hope to see them moving to a bigger and nicer space so more people can enjoy their delicacies. J'adore!

Very intimate, cozy restaurant. Food was excellent and most folks were local or were French. We had the swordfish tartare and steak with artichoke and mashed potatoes. Highly recommend. Bring cash just in case (their card machine was down when we went).

This place came highly recommended by our Airbnb host. This was by far the best meal we’ve had EVER. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. The dishes were creative and unlike anything we’ve ever dreamt of pairing. The only mistake we made was not making a second reservation for our final night.
