Great place! This the first place we have felt "at home" in Paris. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was amazing, and Catherine was a treat. We had a wonderful seasonal soup, the tomato tart, the beef, and the duck. All were excellent. The beef was the best we've had in the city. Wonderful restaurant! A must stop. If you're from the US, Americans welcome ;-)

We found this place on yelp our second night in Paris. What a gem! It is a small restaurant with a small but delicious menu. The owner is from Canada and moved to Paris 20 years ago. She cooks amazing food for you and serves you as well. She was very personable and gave us other great tips for cheese and experiences for the rest of our stay. I think she has a new menu every night but we had the tomato tartlet (so much better than the one at Le Procope), asparagus appetizer, beef burgenon and duck confit. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. We had the apple and pear upside down tart and berries with white chocolate mousse. The white chocolate mousse was phenomenal. Wish I could give 10 stars. Amazing amazing food.

We found this restaurant on Yelp and it is an amazing place to eat!!! We were lucky enough to get a table, but highly recommend making a reservation. I had the Beef and it was to die for! Not only that but, Catherine makes everything when you order it, so it a home cooked meal on vacation. Catherine has a beautiful spirit and I felt like I had known her for years! This place is a must!!! Everything on the menu was amazing and even better with her sweet disposition!

Absolute Best dining experience ever!! Wonderful place and the BEST food you'll experience in Paris...or anywhere else. Catherine Reed creates and serves an outstanding menu and the food is unbelievable. The owner and chef makes the experience even better by making you feel like family and is happy to spend time with you to make it truly personal. This is a MUST if traveling to Paris. I'm glad we found this place and glad it made this Texan (who thinks he can speak French) have the best final night in Paris so memorable.

Unbelievable experience! We came to restaurant during strike week and Catherine made everything to accommodate our dinner and offered us a private dinner on Monday night! Wonderful homemade French cuisine with great conversations just made out trip great! Catherine gave us opportunity to choose what we want she services us that evening. Very tasty cauliflower soup, duck confit, beef and potatoes. She cooked two desserts. It was great. If you have a chance do a private dinner. We will come back next time we visit Paris.

We eat at least one meal at REED when we are in Paris. The food is delicious and the ambiance quite singular. Catherine Reed, owner, chef, maitre d', and server is warm and welcoming and provides fabulous wines she picks herself and makes great food. She also has cooking classes, which we have taken, and these are a great activity while in the City of Lights. Highly recommended!

REED opened two years ago on rue Amélie, where I once lived, and became my local kitchen when I wanted a nice dinner. It’s a small restaurant that features fresh home cooking in nice setting with only a dozen or so seats. The owner is a wonderful French Canadian woman (Catherine Reed). The food is wonderful – no caveats -- wonderful homemade cooking with fresh ingredients in perfect portions. The chicken with morels is one of my favorites. The accompanying mashed potatoes are a sin of butter and cream. Her simple salad has a perfect zesty dressing on it. Every dessert – usually 3 featured per night -- are all fresh in house. They are worth every calorie. Everything is homemade except the bread and wine. The wine list is limited, but the choices good and fairly priced. Important to note, the owner/chef was trained at the Ritz Escoffier (yes, the Ritz cooking school) and spent many years as a private chef to some of Switzerland’s and France’s wealthiest families. As she has small staff and she likes to be with the customers as well as cook; she gives you lots of attention. You feel as though she has invited you into her home. If you see the place is nearly empty one night consider it good fortune. Walk in immediately, eat and engage her in conversation. She speaks perfect English and French and is delightful to talk with. I cannot recommend this place enough, wonderful, simple but elegant French home cooking in a pleasant setting. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Superb cooking class! Catherine Reed, the master chef behind Paris’ Reed Restaurant, has created the definitive cooking experience for French food lovers. The class was small enough that we enjoyed plenty of hands-on practical cooking instruction. She is expert at elevating a dish far beyond what we would normally do at home. She’s personable, patient, and fun to work with. Going to her restaurant is a must when in Paris, but cooking with her all day is even better!
