For 35 euros it was excellent Mussels were great, the starter and dessert weren’t home made but honestly it was good and for the price it is an absolute steal. Clean restaurant, friendly staff. Overall great!

Seems like a typical Belgium restaurant. Small tables, very close to each other. They serve you bread and butter at the beginning free of charge and if you finish it, they will bring another one. The bread was super soft with some seeds in it. We decided to go with the Menu option (34 euros for a starter, main dish and a dessert). We had the mussels with truffle sauce, the kidneys in mustard sauce, the oysters and the shrimps with the Lobster sauce. All of the dishes were amazing, well prepared and delicious. For desserts we had a tiramisu and creme brulee. I've eaten a lot of tiramisu desserts, mostly in Italy, but this one could easily find a place in my top 10. Great service, kind staff and amazing interior.

We had a craving for moules frites and found this hidden gem. The restaurant was busy and they found us a table in the back area (garden) but it was climatised. As another reviewer mentioned, they have the heat on way to high. They have 2 systems running. Otherwise, the moules were outstanding! Superb! Definitely a repeater... The service spot on! Will definitely return the next time we are in Brussels.

Good service and mussels. They can get really busy so expect the service to be a little slow but they're all very friendly. Can't wait to go back again. If you didn't book a table for dinner, it's better to visit them at their opening time which is 6pm so that you can get a table without waiting. There's also lunch deal with a main course of the day for €10 and starter for €5.

A great restaurant with typical Belgian cuisine. The menus are great to have a bit of everything, and we can pick from most, if not all first courses, main courses and desserts. It was a bit noisy and thus not too romantic, but it's because the restaurant was packed. If you want to go there, make reservations. I booked two weeks before, for a Saturday night dinner. The atmosphere is nice and made of typical Belgian posters, paintings, cartoons etc. A bit kitschy but it's part of the restaurant's charm. Mussels were great, and the meat very tender and cooked as ordered. The pepper sauce was ok but not exceptional. We also had tomatoes with shrimp, great, shrimp croquettes, great, and ice cream for dessert. The service was good and staff was attentive and friendly. All in all a good experience.

I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and staff was very friendly. The lady which seems to be the owner really makes you feel like you’re hosted at her home, although she was quite intimidating and cold sometimes. We obviously had moule frite and it was pretty good, portions were very generous. However I can’t say it was the best I had and having such a long list of choices is supposed to be a good thing but it is kind of confusing in my opinion.

Neighborhood bistro open late, we didn't have a reservation but got a spot in the back, in some kind of closed off terrace with a bit too much heating, but we were starving. I ordered the steak with pepper sauce. Although I ordered rare it was more medium, but it was tender, the sauce delicious and the fries very good. Service was fine, even if they were busy. The beer selection was limited. Prices were good for the quality.

Great place with several mussel options in the menu. Little bit small inside. We had to sit in the terrace.

A genuine traditional Brussels menu. The atmosphere was good but perhaps a little crowded, a small table or two less would make it feel less cramped. Really excellent friendly service. The mussels were good if not the best I've eaten. On the whole I certainly recommend it.

Very nice restaurant with fresh mussels. Also the meat dishes are great. I would recommend to reserve beforehand. We went here with colleagues and everybody loved it.

I love how this restaurant is quite small, yet feels quite large when you're in that you don't bump into other people. It is cute how, if you order mussels, you will also wear a cute rather big bib. The environment is nice, relaxing, enjoyable. I was surprised by the variety of mussels options that you could order. The portions are huge, super tasty and the quality cost report is excellent. Will definitely come again next time I am in Brussels!

We had Moules du chef and a steak. Both were delicious including a friendly and smiling staff. 5 stars for this restaurant, super centrally located but away from busy streets.

Their food is high in quality, extraordinary well-made and rich in flavour. The food is also innovative. All of the staff members are very friendly and well-trained. They also accommodated to my vegan needs and I was so grateful for that. They also helped me when a man didn't leave me alone so I felt very safe there. Highly recommended!!

Traditional Belgian place. Since 30 years. A few tourists find it but also lots of locals that go there for the classics : shrimp croquettes, mussels with fries, etc. Friendly service. Unpretentious decor. Good prices.

We were told to make a reservation, and were able to make one same-day. Both indoor and outdoor seating filled up quickly. The service was fast and very polite. The mussels and frites were fresh, and the house made tiramisu was amazing. I would recommend to anyone visiting Brussels!

Excellent mussels and fries! Very friendly staff and authentic Belgian cuisine. Paid €50 for two with drinks.

Such an amazing traditional / Moules Belgium restaurant. Such friendly & attentive service (no problem too big or small). So friendly & welcoming. Food was outstanding. Cannot recommend enough. It’s very popular so best to go in person & reserve.

Very pleasant experience trying mussels in Belgium, many different types to choose from. The service was great and our waiter was very friendly!

Fabulous place, very nice food, excellent service (the restaurant called me to know whether we'd like to sit inside or outside on a sunny day, AFTER I made the booking). Always great (and the 'moules maison' are awesome). Highly recommend.

Amazed with the choice of mussels. Food is amazing. Staffs are friendly and polite. Beer choices are good too. One little thing, since the mussel was quite plentiful, I wish the sauce was a little bit more.

Racist place. If you’ve white you’re treated like a normal patron. We came as a group of 6 Asians. It’s been almost 2 hours but our food has not arrived. We had to ask them to take our order FOUR times before we were acknowledged and received any attention. The table of locals next to us came and ordered at least half an hour after we did and received their food and drinks way before we did. They gave all the other tables bread but we had to ask for it and the waiter seemed to give it to us unwillingly. We had to ask for our drinks to be served because they forgot about us. Food was subpar and and service was terrible. Should have listened to the other bad reviews by other Asians and not come here.

I am doing just one restaurant review for September. Great place, they treat you like family the second time they see you (the 1st time they welcome you like a friend). 34 € menu is perfect. Make sure you call the day before and have a reservation otherwise you are 95% guaranteed you will not get a table (and I saw people get frustrated with that). Emmanuelle, the wife of the chef/owner is wonderful, the staff is as friendly as can be.

Overrated, but always a safe corner to enjoy good Moules & Frites.

Excellent choice for mussels, in a very cozy (and busy!) restaurant. We had two different options for the mussels, plus some appetizers - including a very nice slice of fois gras. Clearly a favorite among locals, definitely want to come back next time. Incidentally: it's in walking distance of really nice Art Nouveau (and Art Deco) buildings, including the Horta Museum, and also in the same suburb of another amazing musem: the Van Buuren.

High quality good and service. You will not be disappointed at this restaurant. The mussles with truffle cream and teremesu were outstanding. They also have an excellent beer and wine selection.

Very typical and savory dishes, an amazing and overly caring staff. A very warm and convivial atmosphere. They mixed our order but were very professional about it and prompt to correct it. They even offered us a digestive to make up for it. Will definitely come back tomorrow 👌

Very good Belgian restaurant, mussels are a must (plus funny accessory during the experience)! I strongly recommend making a reservation beforehand, the restaurant was fully booked the evening we dined in.

Little gem in the off the beaten track. Great service. Great atmosphere. Salad was amazing (caprice). Muscles were good but not amazing. I would definitely go there again. Reservation recommended.

Absolutely amazing Belgian/French food. All dishes were 10/10. For sure the best food I ever had in Brussels, and I have been in Brussels a lot :)

Lovely place. The mussels were fat, juicy and perfectly cooked. Was very impressed. My son had the child's menu and loved the home made meatballs. The staff were lovely too. Really nice people. You may have to book ahead. But you should.

10 out of 5 stars if it would be possible! Wonderfully tasty food in good portions for a very decent price. The staff if the kindest and best we met in whole Brussels. Genuine belgian experience. 2 tips: - Take the menu and taste everything, the dessert are to die for - reserve a table in time, because everyone want to eat here ☺️

  • 4/5 María Fernanda Ríos M. 2 years ago on Google
Nice food and decent prices. If you want to eat typical belgian food in a nice place far from tourists.

👍👍 How in the world this shop doesn't have 5 stars. Come on people. One of the best in Brussels. It tops almost all the list in any internet blogs you may visit for the top10 Frites in Belgium and it deserves it. Taste is very crispy on the outside. Lots of place to sit with your friends outside to ha...
