Nice South Indian Restaurant in Street-1, Discovery Gardens. Place was super tidy. Good South Indian filter Coffee. In addition to Idly, Dosa, Snacks, they are serving meals (Thali) for lunch, and dinner. That's the BEST SOUTH INDIAN MEALS I had in the recent times 👍👌. Good Service.

Been twice here on weekends. Have tried masala dosa, rawa ghee onion masala dosa, vada and chai here. Rawa dosa is a must-have as it is crunchy and non-spicy with rich ghee aroma. Sambhar’s taste is also amazing. They serve chai with a flat bowl, just like the south Indian tea is served. Loved how they present their story in the paper placemats. Fridays are little crowded and the price charged is worth the food.

Good and tasty restaurant in Discovery Gardens. Clean and courteous staff. Sambar from hot vessel makes so tasty. Reasonable price with nice ambiance. They should keep the washroom better. In my visits not even once I saw the washroom dry. Otherwise it is an excellent vegetarian eatery in a good and calm location.

So much hyped, went with friends family for dinner by seeing reviews. So much crowded food was definitely not that great for hype.. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Discovery Garden, Dubai. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Mami’s Special Dosa, stuffed with smashed shallots, ghee and some secret masala became my new favorite! Also tried Uthappam, Sambar Vada and the typical Filter Coffee which is so delicious! It was absolutely a best Vegetarian food we had in a recent time. Highly recommend!

Unplanned visit to "Mamis illam" restaurant. Tried lots of dishes all are very2 tasty. Plenty of free parking space. Food is very economical. Zomato Gold also accepted. Recommended specially for breakfast meals.

Highly overrated about the Restuarant ambience and taste of food. This is a little better than a normal cafeteria Idli was so good, I would order oldie home and eat again. The pineapple juice we ordered literally had water in it. Staff was talking in their native language about us without realizing that I understand the language

Mamis Illam - Best Dosa place in Dubai. Discovery Garden is heaven for Vegetarian foodies. Good option of Veg restaurants in Discovery Garden. Mamis Illam is good family dining Pure vegetarian food place in Discovery Garden. They have good Crispy Dosa. Anything from the menu is good. We tried Masala dosa, Vada set & filter coffee. It was simply awesome. Strongly recommended

Amazing food for good price but I think almost everyone has figured that out, so it is crowded at times. If you go at very popular times, then you are guaranteed a spot to wait in line. These times are usually from 9 AM to 11 AM; 1PM to 2 PM and 8PM to 9PM. If you make sure to avoid these times, then this restaurant it amazing. Another massive and major con about this restaurant is parking space. Unfortunately, since the parking space is not owned by them, they can't do anything about it, but it is a massive issue, so be ready to walk or wait at least 5 to 10 minutes for a parking spot.

They are terrible with their zomato orders when it comes to sambar! You will get 1 cup of sambar, whether you order 2 idlis or 4. It's so irritating.

Easily the best restaurant in discovery gardens area. Clean ingredients and no food coloring ensures that your digestion system never gets upset even if you eat here regularly. Must try the ghee onion Rava Dosa.

Very nice and cheap food in Dubai. Even though the place is small, the crowd is fast moving, and I saw many people taking away parcels. Food was yummy with great proportions, but a little spicy. Overall nice experience.

Best vegetarian options in the town. Little expensive while compare to normal cafeteria or restaurants. Onion dosa, mini tiffin, dragon mashroom (highly recommended if you like Chinese). Coin parotta, vegitables Kuruma, paneer butter masala.etc. Almost the items whichever I tried from them not yet disappointed at all. 50+ visits I have done there. Don't order or take away. This is the best best place to have an Indian food from the southern part of the country, it tastes heaven and the thaalis are just so good and delicious, please do try them on a lazy Sunday or any of your hectic weekdays you’ll love it 😊 best part also is they’re not expensive but quality of food is super amazing.

Best veg restaurant in dubai.

First visit. We have ordered for quick meals and one full meals. Mostly waiter serving for too many ppl it seems. We have to wait for his arrival and request for ordering. Serving also too slow. Taste wise sambar, poori kurma and vathal kuzhambu are too good. On the other side rasam, poriyal, kootu are not tasty at all. They are charging 20AED for full meals but quality wise it's not worthy. Chef don't know how to prepare payasam. Need more improvement in quality and also waiters.

It's consistently good food. Isn't gonna make you dance but delicious for sure.

Good quality south Indian breakfast food. Really like the variety of Chutneys on offer and the simplicity of the dishes. They aren't going over the top with spices and keeping the dishes simple and tasty, as they are intended to be.

Visited here on a holiday to have lunch and the experience was good, I have previously ordered food from here which was great and it was the first time visiting in person, nothing extra ordinary to say here, it is just like every decent restaurant in the locality, there is seating area which is big enough may be say around 30-40 people, there is separate area for family and washroom facility also is available, I am not sure if there is any dedicated parking available for this restaurant I parked in the small parking spot available nearby to this place, I believe I was lucky since it was a long holiday and many people are travelling, or else it would have been difficult to find a spot to park. Service was great and food was delicious, I tried special thalli and mini thalli, it was decent and tasty.

Bought chapatti each 3 AED, and the condition of the chapattis you can see. They are not even properly baked/cooked. When you charge that much, we accept much better food from you. Thanks God I didn’t buy anything else.

Read reviews, looked at website menus and photos and it looked good. But reality is somewhat different. Not much space, not as polished as the photos look. Experience left me disappointed and wanting something more…… I think next time I will stick to South Indian restaurants in Karma or Diera.

Great South Indian place in Dubai, we tried till dosa and appam.

Food is good, generally i do take out atleast twice a week since they don't deliver to my location. However the attitude of the guy at the reception was so mean....so today was ma last visit and left without ordering... Wish you the best hoping u guys will train your staff on how to behave with the customer.

Went for a quick lunch. Food was nice but could have been better. There was some banana leaf meal advertised, but the staff was not even aware. On the whole, an average experience. Not something I look forward to returning to in a hurry.

Our go-to place for south indian breakfast days. I have ordered from this place plenty of times and never disappointed. Have dined a couple of times as well. My favorite thing on the menu is tomato Uttampam which they serve with 3 different chutneys and sambhar. Have also tried Rava dosa, plain dosa, masala dosa, idli and have enjoyed the food. Would definitely recommend this place.

A place were we have food like home. Good quality and taste. The service is best. The filter coffee is amazing. Loved the food here.

Absolutely love it. My favourite Tamizh meals spot in UAE. Their vatha kuzhambu is a star attraction. Consistency is their biggest advantage. I have been to this place multiple times and also used their catering for a small family gathering at home, and they did not disappoint.

I'm a regular customer here and it's one of my favourite spots to eat in Dubai. The dosa is good as is the veg kurma, kothu parotta, chutneys, sambar, vadai etc. It's cheap as chips and the staff are friendly. I'm leaving Dubai soon and I shall miss this restaurant for sure.

Very good authentic Tamil restaurant with very good selection of vegetarian dishes prepared in very traditional Tamil Nadu style. All South Indian thali lovers should definitely check this place out. My only gripe with this restaurant is that the staff are too biased and they were not that accommodating to my liking. The prices were reasonable as well. Just don't mind the staff, maybe they had an offday. Just go there to enjoy your food and I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed! And lastly, one of my friend had suggested not to drive after having food from them as it has a tendency to make you very drowsy with your fulfilled stomach ???
