Cool atmosphere and super friendly service! The drinks are delicious, the ahi appetizer was awesome. After that it went downhill super fast. Itโ€™s not vegetarian friendly which I didnโ€™t expect snd I accept that. The fish tacos were supremely underwhelming, pretty much no flavor, the slaw was basically wet cabbage. The prices are way too high for this quality of food. If you are looking for a decent appetizer and delicious drinks this is your jam! If you are out for dinner pick somewhere else. We still enjoyed it overall.

Nice restaurant close to the beach. Stopped in for lunch before heading to the beach. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Drinks were really good. The oysters were the best and seasoned great. Greeter and waitress were friendly. Waitress very attentive and checked in on us often.

Just finished up a fabulous dinner at Salt Life Food Shack, our first time & it was flawless. Their clam chowder isn't what this former Bostonian would call "New England" style, but it was absolutely delicious, flavorful, a teeny bit spicy and loaded with clams & diced potatoes. Totally craveable, l'll order it every time. I ordered the Crab-Topped Grouper with vegetables, hubs ordered the Boca Style Grouper. The grouper isn't local, and I appreciate our awesome server (Marlie) being honest when asked fresh or frozen, but tasted just as good, both were large portions, thick, juicy & flaky. Really, really great 1st impression, we're already looking forward to going back.

Came here tonight for the first time. Called ahead to make sure they were open since another seafood place down the road wasn't. It was phenomenal. I haven't had good seafood with flavor in a long time. Came in and there were four staff at the front door. No host stand, so it was slightly confusing. We sat at the front. The chairs and booth seats were comfortable. I loved the atmosphere and the decor. There was a giant fish tank in the middle of the restaurant too. I looked at the menu before going so I knew exactly what I wanted. I ordered the seafood boil with water. It had one rack of crab, lots of shrimp and sausage, potatoes and corn. There was so much food I couldn't finish it. My daughter had the kids fried shrimp and french fries with sprite. My friend had the pan seared chicken pasta. It was very enjoyable. The food came out super fast, especially with how many people were there. I filled out the comment card they had in the bucket on the table, which was super convenient since I already do reviews anyway. I gave it to the manager and he had me fill out the back to get meal discounts too since I would like to come back and get the $6.99 sushi on Tuesdays. The restroom was clean when I went to wash my hands also. Definitely going to be my go to spot to eat when I'm in the Jax beach area.

After exploring Downtown Jax with family, we stopped at this hip seafood restaurant in Jacksonville Beach! The menu is moderately large, itโ€™s four pages long with a lot of delicious and healthy options to choose from!! For an appetizer, we had the fried avocado with Salt Lifeโ€™s famous Shack sauce!!! It was absolutely toothsome!! For me, I had southern-fried shrimp, with French fries that came with the Shack sauce and I mixed ketchup into that sauce and it was so good!!!!! Honestly, the food is made with plenty of love and all those who work and are super friendly and are extremely happy that they work at the restaurant!! From walking in to walking out, I highly guarantee that you will not be disappointed at all!!!!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜€

Pretty good but the St Augustine location was better food. The guac was watery and drink didn't taste like there was any alcohol. Austin provided quick service.

Great place with friendly staff, cool vibe, and yummy menu. We got take out Friday night and my husband got the spicy poke bowl. It was so good we came back to eat at the restaurant on Sunday on our way home. It was super yummy. I got the spicy poke bowl, and my husband got the clam chowder bowl, which was a BIG serving and the Tuna roll. Sooo good!

My wife wanted crab legs, and a friend of hers suggested we try here. We started out with an order of steamed oysters, and they never got photographed because we devoured them. My wife ordered the beach boil, and she said it was good, but it would have been better if it had another cluster of legs on it. I went with the spicy poke bowl, which I enjoyed very much. It was very flavorful, and the portion of food was good. We both had an order of key lime pie for dessert, and being from KW, I can say this was some good key lime pie. It just needed a little piece of lime on top, and they could have done without the green drizzle on the plate. I tasted it but did not like it. Our waitress was very nice and informative. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch here, and if ever on that side of town again would return.

Salt Life gave me life. Everything was cooked to perfection and the ambience was beautiful. Not on the beach but you can still smell the salt water.

The service was great. Food had a great presentation, but tasted like any other tourist place. We live in Destin and enjoy good seafood often. Not impressed. Tacos were ok. Ahi Tuna app was over seasoned. Other guest enjoyed their meals. Great atmosphere. Think the food could be better.

For the seafood lovers... Salt life has something for everyone. A boil or bucket with crab legs galore, sushi and Oysters, oh there is so much more. The prices are reasonable and the staff is busy but personable and friendly. This beachy atmosphere is perfect for a mid day snack or lunch. #fallynsfoodieexcursions #greatlunch #beachlife

Really nice restaurant. They have a great and unique selection of cocktails. I loved the mango mai Thai. They have this really interesting appetizer that I havenโ€™t seen anywhere before : fried avocados. As an avocado lover, I liked it. Had a seafood bowl for entrรฉe, it was good too. I would definitely go back

A bit commercial yet good. Poke Bowl prepared ahead of time and chilled but excellent flavors. Because it was prepared so far in advance the flavors had migrated to the bottom of the bowl. Coconut Lime Mahi good not great. Veggies watered plate and fish massively over cooked.

Amazing food, amazing servers, and an incredible atmosphere. While visiting Jacksonville Beach I think this is a fantastic spot to pick for lunch or dinner. They specialize in sushi, tacos, and burgers but I opted for the pan seared chicken pasta and it was cheesy and bright from the tomatoes. My partner got the grouper sandwich and said that it was the best fish sandwich heโ€™s ever had! 5/5!

Food was very good. The Spicy Poke bowl was on point, the Calamari was breaded and fried perfectly, not too greasy. Cocktails were good. Very satisfied

Food has always been fresh & service excellent. Decor is coastal & whimsical. I like wide open spaces & bright happy places. I do not enjoy eating in dark restaurants that feel like a dark closet in the middle of the day, as many others do. This is a restaurant that offers comfortable room to breathe with great natural lighting! There is also a great covered patio with comfortable seating!

This is an incredible place to go eat in Jacksonville. The food was amazing. We got a Mahi bowl and a fried grouper plate with fries. Both were amazing and had such good flavor! We were seated quickly, had our food out quickly, and the staff was very friendly. The place had a good atmosphere, was clean, and had good music playing. For good quality fish in Florida, the prices were not bad either. Overall a very good experience and would recommend to anyone.

I have to rate this restaurant five stars across the board. The food was great. The customer service was totally awesome! Plus the atmosphere was just what I needed after a long day at the beach! I ate on the rooftop with my family and we absolutely enjoyed everything kids and all! I'd definitely go anytime.

Staying in Jacksonville beach for a week and we already have been here twice. Food is great and service is impeccable. My wife is a celiac and has a severe gluten allergy, however that was not a problem here as they had a separate gluten free menu. We have ordered sushi, beach boil, and I had a burger. All the food has been cooked properly and tasted delicious, might even be back a third time if that says anything. We are staying close by so it is very convenient walk for us, definitely recommend, food and staff awesome.

The service is great and the food is decent. I got the grouper stuffed with crab. Iโ€™ll probably get something different next time. My partner got the clam chowder and it was amazing! Great little spot for a date or family outing

We visited this place while exploring the Jax Beach area, and so glad we did! I really wanted oysters, so we gave it a shot. We ordered 2 kinds, a side of fried rice and also a sandwich and fries. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the oysters will probably stay on my mind forever! They were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun and upbeat. Can't wait to visit the area again soon!

This my favorite beach seafood place from now on. Fried avocado was a huge hit, fried fish was so delicious that it was almost gone before I grabbed my phone to take a picture. Sweat Mahi bowl was just right, however portion of Mahi itself was kind of small. Service and atmosphere were on point. Will definitely return again.

Staff was friendly and atmosphere was great. The margaritas are some of the best I have ever had. I had an Elevated and then an Orange Jalepeno (5 Stars!!) The Chile-Lime Mahi was good. Thanks for a great experience.
