It is a beautiful place to visit during day. Very photogenic place. A link of royal lineage, feel the royalty genre. Remember to take a guide as it will be worth to take one otherwise you would come out without knowing the history and importance of this palace. There is a market inside the palace where local handcrafted items are displayed, prices are on higher side but if you want to support local craftsmanship then please buy from them as the money you spend here will directly help these awesome local creative people, most of them has received recognition from PM and government of India.

This is one of the MUST visit royal heritages in Jaipur. Entry fees is 200 rupees for resident indians, guide charges are extra. 2-3 hours are more than sufficient to visit this place including group photographs sessions. There are few galleries where taking photographs is not allowed. Places like photography hall, weapons hall are quite good. There are few shops and restaurants situated inside this place.

Beautiful place to visit if you are in or around Jaipur. Brilliant show of ancient and traditional designs and blend of colours. I would recommend to go in without a guide as there is not much history to explain. Even a small intro video would be more than enough for it. Entry fee for Indians is around 200, and use student card if possible for half rates. It's a photogenic place but overcrowded.

Only concern is entry fee. Since the palace is maintained by king family itself entry fee is costly. Jaipur City Palace is a true gem, deserving of a 5-star rating. The intricate architecture, vibrant colors, and rich history create an enchanting experience. The museum is a treasure trove of royal artifacts, providing a captivating journey through Jaipur's regal past. The breathtaking views of the Pink City from the palace are simply awe-inspiring.

The Palace is worth a visit as it offers some great insights in the life and lifestyle of previous and current Maharajas of Jaipur. The place is well maintained and Clean. It offers ample of space not only to stroll inside but also to sit and Relax. I won't recommend a guide when visiting here. There's ample parking space and requires 2-3 hours to peacefully explore this place.

It is a beautiful place to visit during day. Remember to take a guide as it will worth to take one. He will explain everything properly. Be mindful that guide will take you a market located inside the palace. Do not buy those perfumes and dresses as it costs way too much. We didn't know that time and we realised it later when we went to the Amer fort area. The cost difference is too much.

It is a lovely building, quite well preserved in general. It can be a bit chaotic and it is easy to skip some of the parts if you don’t pay attention, since there are not many indications. Every patio is completely different and very well decorated, including the linen collection and the Peacock Gate.

It was just a magical place with so much of history. Much recommended, if you love the old architecture. They had a handicraft section from where you can buy some amazing crafts made by the local artists. I clicked so many photos there and I just loved the exhibition area with stuff that is old and once belonged to the royal family.

It's a must visit if you're in Jaipur. The city palace is so named after the residence of the royal highness. It was built hundreds of years back. There are various types of tickets available to enter it ranging from 300 to 3500 rupees. The 300 rs ticket will give you access to the museum and the outer part of the city palace, the 1500 rs ticket will give you access to the inside of the city palace whereas the 3500 one includes visit to the royal blue coloured palace that you'll find in the pictures. We went with a 300 rupees entry as we were short of time and that only took an easy 3-4 hours with the help of a tour guide. Moreover, if you'll take a guide they'll take you to all the shops and artisans inside so be mindful of what you want to buy and what not to.

A beautiful and majestic place! Very well maintained. It takes around 3 to 3:30 hrs to cover it. You need to buy ticket 300rs per person before entering the palace. It's a nice place for clicking some good pictures. There is also a small museum inside showcasing beautiful paintings, silver ware, different types of clothings used by the royal family. The beautiful interior of the palace makes it more elegant.

A visit to this splendid palace is a journey through history. The palace seems to breathe, alive with the echoes of royal footsteps and the hushed whispers of history. The fusion of artistry and functionality is apparent in every detail. It invites visitors to step into the shoes of history. I'd definitely visit again.

Very beautiful palace in the heart of Jaipur city. This is a must visit for experiencing the rich heritage and culture, if you’re visiting Jaipur. You can expect to see lots of artifacts, architecture, construction, ornaments, garments, vehicles and insights of the royal lifestyle of Jaipur’s royal family. Highly recommend to enter the palace area at 5.30 PM during winters (entry closes at 6 PM) to see the palace in day light as well under lights. Also note, the palace is still the residence of the royal family!

The city palace is worth a visit. The buildings are in much better condition and you can get a better feel of what they would have looked like when they were first built. Restoration projects show a huge difference when the colours are brought back to life

Located in the heart of the Pink City Jaipur, the City Palace was where the Maharaja reigned from. This palace also includes the famous 'Chandra Mahal' and 'Mubarak Mahal', and other buildings which form a part of the palace complex. The palace is located towards the northeast side of central Jaipur and has many courtyards and buildings. The palace was built between 1729 and 1732 AD by Sawai Jai Singh II. He ruled in Amer and planned and built the outer walls of the palace and later rulers added to the architecture of this palace. These additions have been known to take place right up to the 20th century. The urban layout of the city of Jaipur was commissioned to Vidyadhar Bhattacharya and Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob. The architectural styles are largely based on a fusion of Rajput, Mughal and European styles. Today, the 'Chandra Mahal' has been turned into a museum which is home to unique handcrafted products, various uniforms of the rulers and many more things pertaining to the royal heritage of the City Palace. History Of City Palace Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II is known to have commissioned work for building the outer wall of the city's complex. He shifted from Amer to Jaipur due to water problems and an increase in population in 1727. He had entrusted the city's architectural design to the chief architect Vidyadhar Bhattacharya. The architect went on to design the City Palace in accordance with the Vaastushastra texts. Architectural Layout The City Palace reflects Rajput, Mughal and European architectural styles although the palace was designed to Vaastushastra treatise. Some of the famous gates are the 'Udai Pol', 'Jaleb Chowk', 'Tripolia Gate' and 'Virendra Pol', which also happen to be the various entrances to the palace. These are all richly decorated. The Palace has been designed according to a 'grid style' and houses various structures such as, 'Chandra Mahal', 'Mubarak Mahal', 'Diwan-I-Khas' and the 'Govind Dev Ji Temple. The walls and gates are ornately designed to Mughal style, with various murals, lattice and mirrors adorning them from sides. Nearby Tourist Attractions Hawa Mahal Jal Mahal Government Central Museum Jantar Mantar Vidhyadhar's Garden The City Palace is a landmark in Jaipur and is also a very popular tourist hotspot. Apart from the regal architecture, the palace offers a stunning view of the Pink City and also an insight into the rich heritage of a bygone era. The City Palace is a must-see while sightseeing in Jaipur.

This place is huge. I would definitely recommend visiting, the architecture is so grand and beautiful. Ig some restoration work is also going on. There is a diner inside too, it is absolutely stunning, but it comes with bird problems 😅. The palace has so much to see. There are many places where photography is restricted so beware and don't get yourself a fine please.

Beautiful palace in the centre of the city, with several museum rooms showcasing different art, armour, weapons and antiques from the collection of the royal family. There are several ticket options available depending on how much you want to see, and friendly guides are available outside if you wish to get more information during your visit. Lots of gift shops throughout as well.

A very beautiful and historical palace in jaipur. It has been converted into a museum by a king itself. Currently, princess has opened a shop in the vicinity of a palace where you can buy handmade goods made by poor women, I bought two bookmarks made of cloth material, they are so pretty. Must shop something as a souvenir. Saw amazing clothes worn by kings and queens, guns and pistols, swords and spears, vessels and containers, must take a guide for better knowledge of this palace.

Worth visiting for folks who enjoy museums. •Upkeep and maintenance by the royal family + trust there I believe the 200 INR (Indian Adult) per person may be justified. •There are other more expensive ticket option available where you are allowed to see more galleries. Read about it on jaipurtouriam.co.in before hand because upon arrival there will be guides harassing you with all kinds of random information. •Speaking of guides, expect haggling and general annoyance where they will follow you around and urge you to hire them, ofcourse for a fee (500 INR+). Expect this at all tourist places in Jaipur. In my opinion it is absolutely not worth the money because the information they tell you is often not correct and nothing more than what is already available on blogs/websites and also the plaques put in place for tourists to read. Moreover they hurry you along, skip galleries that tend to take longer and push their own agenda on you by taking you to shops so thay they earn further comission. • City Palace with the 200 INR ticket has 4 Galleries open for view other than the Palace Grounds 1: Armoury 2: Royal Textiles 3: Painting and photographs 4: The royal court. Other than the palace grounds photography is prohibited. • Overall worth visiting for a few hours. There is also a restaurant and cafe inside but due to pandemic and generally poor reviews didn't try them.

The most beautiful and well maintained palace. The king's family is still living here. They gave some parts to the government and the rest of them were for them. We can visit the king's private palace but have to buy a separate ticket for that.in public space we can see the weapons, dresses and photographs of the king's family.

City Palace in Jaipur is a mesmerizing blend of history and architecture. The intricate details of the palace, adorned with vibrant colors and delicate patterns, offer a captivating visual experience. The museum inside provides a deep dive into Rajasthan's royal past, showcasing artifacts and royal memorabilia. The scenic views from the palace, overlooking the Pink City, add to its charm. However, during peak tourist seasons, crowds can be overwhelming. Overall, City Palace is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking a glimpse into the opulent heritage of Jaipur. Despite occasional crowds, the well-preserved heritage and the courteous staff make every visit memorable. City Palace is a must-visit destination that effortlessly transports you to the grandeur of Rajasthan's royal legacy.

Nice palace complex in Jaipur with some interesting little exhibits in museums, the armour and weapons one being the highlight. The complex itself has a bunch of ticket options, with the most beautiful areas reserved for an expensive guided experience, so if you want to just look through yourself without a guide you won’t be able to see these nice parts of the place. The basic combined ticket for 700 rupees will let you wander around the different areas and museums of the place which was still nice but it would be good to have an option to see the other parts on your own.

This is definitely a gorgeous spot! So, the palace and the museum galleries cost you around 200/250 and for children, students eat cetera it is 150. If you wanna have a royal tour, which includes special reserved sections of the palace (which are gorgeous btw) including a free guide and snacks, you’ve to pay 3k per person and 1500 if you’ve a student ID. The main outer courtyards are gorgeous though. The four season doors, the pink assembly areas, all are gorgeous!

Very nice palace in the heart of pink city, one must visit in Jaipur, its a private property of Jaipur king dynasty, there is a ticket of Rs. 400 per adult for public area view of the palace and If you wish to move further towards the five storied palace where the royal family still live then another 2000 Rs per person will be required. Over all a nice experience. A restaurent is there in the premises which is very costly and is loved mostly by elite and foreigners. There is a small market inside it for jaipur prints and clothes which is said to be at fixed price, however a 30 percent discount will be offered to old age person and studying children, same discount is offered at the entry tickets, if you wish to avail.

Beautiful architecture, breathtaking infrastructure. You'll need time to explore since it's a big place to explore. Do visit the paintings sections, there are some beautiful painting with such a minute details in a very small canvas. It's a bit costly a whopping ₹300 ticket for an Indian tourist. Jantar mantar and hawa mahal are at a walking distance from here.

Jaipur is one city that transports you back to the Rajput era the moment you set foot there. It is dotted with architectural wonders and that is the reason why the city sees a good tourist footfall all year round. One such architectural delight right at the center of Jaipur is the City Palace; a symbol of the regal and royal days of the city. City Palace is a building that has preserved the history of the city and is an icon of grandeur. Once you enter the palace all you can do is stand transfixed by its beauty while you soak in the marvelous architecture and the artifacts inside the palace. City Palace used to be the home for the royal family of Jaipur but later it was divided into two parts; one which contains few courtyards and museums and the other where the royal family still resides.

The one of the best places in Jaipur and the most beautiful thing about this is there is still the king is here and if the flag hosted there is two the king is inside the palace, the architecture, paintings, dresses ,wow the main reason why everyone are still visiting India is that even without technology, mechanical advancement they managed to do amazing, extraordinary instruments which was perfectly based on calculation Cons- Rate for things which is sold inside is hell expensive but its usual in tourism spots , We must depend on local guide or packages and the places near are little dangerous and don't fell for scams - i prefer taking food from were you are departing

Of course, no doubt, one of the best heritage which is kept preserved. One thing, there are so many old things which they don't allow photography.. I can understand flash can have some light exposure but at least let people take photos without flash. It will help people know what is inside.

The City Palace of Jaipur where The Royal family of Jaipur still resides. Located in the capital of Rajasthan, The City Palace of Jaipur is an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. The vast palace complex occupies a huge part of the (old parts) walled city. The complex is divided into series of courtyards, sprawling gardens and marvelous buildings. A home to several palatial structures like the Chandra mahal- (the Royal family still resides here) and it is not open for visitors. Mubarak Mahal, Sarvato Bhadra, Buggi Khana etc. As visitors, we enter the palace through jaleb chowk. This area houses various small boutiques and stores housing handicrafts, artifacts, traditional handlooms, rugs etc. Be sure to haggle and bargain. The prices are over-rated!

A bit overpriced at ₹200/- pp. The place is good and well maintained. Puppet show , art shops and a restaurant can be found inside the fort premise. This place is a private property and is governed by the royal family itself. It is adjacent to Hawamahal and Jantar Mantar. Audio guide should be bought to have a complete experience.

Quite an experience to visit this place. It's beautiful inside with lots of articles and information displayed about the various rulers of Jaipur. Some really beautiful work of art, paintings etc displayed. It's advisable to come here only when you have a good amount of time with you and not in a hurry to enjoy the experience.

If you want to see clothes, weapons of early royal family of jaipur you can come. But the clothes displayed in museum were worn out... But u will like to see the weapons. And good part is it's factory outlet for clothings. We bought real pashmina and jaipur quilt at reasonable rates in palace

This architectural marvel mesmerizes me every time I visit it. The level of detail the artists craft to each element of this magnificent structure is so inspirational. Do not forget to visit the "friends of the museum " Area where you'll get to meet and interact with the descendants and equally talented artists of the age old families who crafted the artworks and designed the clothes for the Royal Family.
