NINJA&GEISHA CAPSULE HOTEL REVIEW This Capsule hotel was the first one I stayed at during my interrailing trip of Japan, and they’ve really SET the STANDARD for the future hotels I’m gonna be staying at; first of all, the service at the front desk (5th floor) was really good! Even though they’re not fluent in english, they make a BIG effort to help and understand your requests and questions. The lounge was beautifully decorated with lots of places to sit, eat and relax, also with at least 10 USB plugs for charging. There’s a vending machine with drinks (alcoholic or not), a fridge to store your (konbini) meals, a sink and a microwave (plus chopsticks and water cups). I don’t know about the men’s floor (3rd floor), but the women’s floor (4th floor) was always clean, great ventilation, nice temperature and lots of accommodations to use (hairdryers, face steamers, hair straigtening iron). You can choose at check-in whether you want a fresh sheets, pyjamas, towel and slippers everyday or not. You also get a locker on your floor, to store your things, with two hangers and a little tray for your shoes. There’s also a washing machine and dryer (300 yen per wash, buy your own detergent). When I couldn’t figure out how to use it, one of the ladies of the staff was nice enough to come down and help me out👍🏼 They also had nice safety measures; like the fact that you need your chip wristband to be able to access the women’s/men’s floor and also to access the lounge, which was a big plus for a female solo-traveler, like myself😊 The capsule was really nice and spacious, so you don’t have to bend your head when inside. You can adjust the lighting in there, there’s a USB-charging plug, ventilation system (on-off button), a little counter and a little mirror and two hangers. You can also store your bigger luggage in the hallway on your floor and it will be secure. I really liked the showers too. After arriving after a 12-hour flight; to be able to take a nice, warm shower (3 options: rain shower head, normal or small one). There’s also shampoo, conditioner and body soap that smells REALLY nice and makes your skin and hair so soft! Overall I had a really good experience here and would come back, whenever I’m in Osaka next - and would ofc also recommend this place to my friends and family traveling Japan in the future🇯🇵🇯🇵 Arigatou gozaimasu👋🏼

Booked this for the novelty. It is a really well thought out pod hotel and has all the mod cons of a regular hotel. Good security, recommendations for local dinner, vending machines. Very clean. Quick to get into town. The earlier you can book the pods the better as the hotel fills the capsules from the back of the room. I booked the last two and i was next to the sliding door which was loud because 50% of blokes are morons. Come prepared with earplugs like I did. A note to management - please install soft close buffers on the sliding doors as it will stop the closing sound. Just like on my kitchen cupboards!

The wall of traveler mementos they have free to leave behind are such a wonderful addition to a trip, leaving something to be remembered by. The lounge led to many new friendships from across the globe.

My first capsule hotel stay. You should try a capsule hotel at least once, but I much prefer an actual bed and private bathroom. That said, this was a good two night stay with clean capsules and bathrooms. The location is convenient since it’s right next to a train station, convenience store, and outdoor mall.

Stayed here for 4 days initially then extended my stay for 3 more nights. Fantastic value for what you pay and would highly recommend booking in advance. You won't regret it! Some cons are that foreigners often stay here and don't follow the rules and make the common spaces dirty (I'm looking at you! Please take off your shoes!). The lighting is dim and only from the top which looks cool and is great for ambience but functionally it's difficult to do stuff like makeup with poor lighting. And the fact that they leave the window open overnight which lets in a lot of mosquitoes during the time I stayed in November. I killed 5 over the week that I stayed! But the lighting does make them easy to spot so if you enjoy killing mosquitoes it may be fun for you. Rooms (5/5) - Clean and spacious. Bedding is comfortable and can be cleaned every night at your request. The mattress is a little hard but still very easy to sleep in. The lounge or common area is really just as good as it looks in the pictures. You will generally not have an issue with cleanliness but staff seem to only clean the floor once during the day. So if someone makes a mess early (or doesn't take off their shoes!) It can ruin the experience for others. Price (5/5) - Best value capsule hotel in Kyoto hands down. Location (4/5) - Location is not that bad. Although there is not much in Awaji the hotel is less than a few minutes away from 2 major train lines which gives you easy access to all of Kansai. There is also a park nearby the station where a cat lives, you might be able to find him if you want some quiet down time away from the big cities :) Service and Amenities (4/5) - Service is decent, staff are friendly and all work very hard. Amenities such as tooth brushes, razors, laundry detergent, earplugs etc. you need to pay for which is great if you don't need all of them. It's pay as you go even though they are pretty pricey individually, it's worth it since the rooms are so cheap anyway.

Very nice and well maintained bathrooms. Expect near-silence at all hours. Bed itself is a bit short, but I was able to barely fit at 1.9m/6'2". dividers between beds are paper thin, so i earplugs would be a good investment if you cant stand a muffled snore.

Was apprehensive in sleeping in a capsule hotel, but this place proved me wrong! There r all the cleaning & dressing amenities one expected from a real hotel stay! There is even a steaming bath for the face. Lockers r provided for keeping valuables. The sleeping cubicle has a dimmer switch, an exhaust fan to clean the air/dehumidify the cubicle, a normal charging port & an USB charging port. Good comfortanle bed & blanket though I preferred a better pillow. But at 4000¥, I can't complained !! Worth a visit.

So far location is perfect. It's 5 minutes walking to the JR awari station which works for me since I did purchased the tourist pass and it saves me a ton of money on train fairs. There's a family mark right next to it and right across There's a 711, so location is great! My only thing is that there is not a bigger area for females only and the fridge is a small one so there's really not enough room to put a few bananas inside since there is no eating in the capsule pods/room.

Ok we were here for a few days the price was great for the amount of days, the staff was super nice and we were near two convenience stores made things easier. This location was a good area too we visited nara and Kyoto which were like a train ride hour or so away. I really liked the lounge area for eating the bathrooms and showers were neat and as for the capsule this is from a woman’s perspective in the womens floor throughout the time I didn’t have any snorers and I brought Bluetooth night phones just in case to sleep with nice music. Only one thing I wish I could turn the A/C up a little higher it was a good room temperature it’s not like ridiculously hot or uncomfortable but I’m just used to it being freezing to sleep and I woulda liked an extra pillow but I didn’t even ask the front desk so don’t quote me ya know they probably would have given me an extra pillow if I asked. Otherwise I actually did enjoy the experience and recommend it.

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Osaka. It was the perfect location, very close to the train station. The capsule I was in was very nice as was the rest of the facilities. I was worried it would be too hot in the capsule but I slept very well. There is a little fan that helps keep the air circulating in your capsule. It was very quiet and the other guests were very respectful of the noise levels. Would definitely stay here again for a short stay in the area.

Chose this location because it was close to the station and not very expensive. I loved the amenities and they were so nice. The capsules were a little warm so I wish the fan was a little stronger. I’d stay again.

Best capsule hotel I've been to. 5 floors, separation of men and women on different floors, crystal clean, very kind employees, nice lounge usable on the fifth floor for work or whatever, japanese clothes serving as pyjama and slippers are included for everyone, very big capsules and very nicely decorated with wallpaper for some, usable washing/drying machine (paying, though).

Amazing place to stay if you are looking for a capsule hotel experience. Well worth the price. The hotel is very modern and clean. I don't think you can get a better capsule/hostel hotel experience for the price. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling in or through Osaka.

English friendly! Right next to a small shopping district with tons of eating options. The staff will also help with any translation with local restaurants if you ask! My area was full but the entire place was kept very clean. Would recommend!

Rooms and facilities are nice. Wasn’t too happy with being kicked out of the room and having the blinds open at 11am sharp despite not requesting new sheets and upon going pack to the pod shortly after found the maintenance person sitting on his phone
