From this area to the north, the streets are not too fancy but have a good atmosphere, and you will arrive at the Ashimori merchant's house, the residence of Senneji Fujita, which is the point of view. There was a tourist parking lot in the back. This is about the middle of the townscape, so keep walking a little longer and turn left at the Ashimori parking lot to head towards Kinsuien. This is also a nice, quiet garden without any decorations, and then we return the same way we came to Rigen Kinoshita's birthplace. It's a town where you can walk comfortably no matter which side street you turn on the way. I'm reluctant to write about it so many times, but I think that's the charm of Ashimori's townscape: it's unpretentious.

The other day, my best friend and I went to see the Jinyamachi Asimori Machinami Hina Meguri. As you take a leisurely stroll through the historical and cultural town of ``Ashimori,'' you will encounter dolls from the Taisho and early Showa eras in the nostalgic streets. The highlight is the dolls at the ``Fujita Senneji Residence''. The store is said to be a wealthy merchant who brewed and sold soy sauce, and the space is packed with dolls from the early Showa period to dolls from the Edo period. In addition to the dolls, I was excited to see such unusual things as soy sauce brewing tools and old ledgers. It's an area full of things to see. 👏

◎A facility where you can feel the dedication to preserving the townscape of Ashimori ⚫︎Beautifully renovated Japanese-style architecture ⚫︎There is a restaurant. ◎Good points ⚫︎A facility with beautiful Japanese-style architecture ⚫︎It has a good sense of unity with the neighboring Fujita family. ・The Fujita family was one of the largest landowners in Okayama Prefecture before the war. ・The Japanese-Western mixed building is a must-see ⚫︎There is a toilet ⚫︎There is a parking lot in front ◎Unfortunate points ⚫︎Facilities are a bit unsatisfactory if used for purposes other than meals ◎Others ⚫︎Children were making works in the building in the back.

I stopped by for a treasure hunt event. The townscape is beautiful, so I would like to visit again in the future as a sightseeing base and take a leisurely stroll.

You can eat and drink, and experience classes in woodworking and pottery are also held. The parking lot is across the street from the store, so it's easy to use.

I came to see the hina decorations. There was quite a lot of decoration, and it was great to see everything from cute things to extravagant things.

There are many options on the menu, but I chose the tonkatsu set meal. Crispy and delicious 😋 When you come to Ashimori, you can enjoy the food while enjoying the scenery that feels a bit like the past.

It reminds me of the Doll's Festival in Yanagawa, Fukuoka Prefecture. I feel a sense of romance in this land where the history that led to Hideyuki Hashiba taking over the world while running in Ashimori remains intact. Okayama Prefecture, why don't you make more use of this wonderful tourist destination? feel well. Smart people, let's take a tour!

An information center for the Ashimori district, where the charming old townscape from the Edo period remains. The building with the sea rat wall is beautiful. It seems to be run by a local. We also had a meal at Koan Chaya on the premises, and we were very happy with the warm customer service. The volunteer sightseeing guide's explanations will help you imagine the lives of people living in Ashimori at the time. It's best when the leaves turn red.

Zenzai was very delicious when it was cold, and the salted kelp was also irresistibly delicious!

Wandering Ashimori “Moji” Atsume I participated in the event on the first day! It will be held until September 18th. Although quantities are limited, you can get melon juice for free.

It took quite a while from when I ordered the food to when it came out, so I couldn't make it in time for the next Kibiji tour bus that was an hour later. Eating here is not suitable when you are in a hurry.
