金沢の美味しいもの、できれば ちょっと捻りの効いたものが食べたい。 一人旅で勇気を出して行ってよかった！ 温かく迎えて下さったシェフの手から 繰り出されるお料理はどれも美味しくて 不思議な隠し味に魅了されました。 シェフはもちろん後から来られた方とも 常連さんたちとも楽しい会話が弾み、 とても豊かで素敵な一夜になりました。 いいお店です　(^^)

こんなお洒落なお寿司は初めです。 透明の醤油には驚きました。 美しく盛り付けられたお寿司は食のエンターテイメントだと思いました。 そしてフォアグラのお寿司最高でした(^^) また、シェフの海外での生活のお話が大変おもしろく、とても素敵な時間が過ごせました。

It’s easy to say that any sushi in Japan will change your life, but it’s no exaggeration to say chef Ryu will actually do it. The personal attention and catering to preferences was an exceptional touch on top of an already exquisite meal. I don’t leave reviews often, but am absolutely compelled to say this is an experience you should try!

This restaurant is a gem. We are so happy we found it. The food was creative, fresh, unique, an absolute delight. Best we had on our Japan trip! The chef with excellent English was very accommodating and flexible with our order since we don't eat meat. We will definitely come back when we are back in the region.

If you're in Kanazawa, make sure you visit because you won't be disappointed. Chez Ronnie is the place to go to have a stellar dining experience with excellent food, great decor, fantastic company and unforgettable memories. Chef Ronnie can speak English which certainly helps if you are a foreigner like me! Speaking with Ronnie at the counter I was able to learn about the dishes he prepared and find things out about the city that I would never have knew just exploring on my own. Dining at Chez Ronnie really makes you feel a great deal of appreciation just for being there. You are there enjoying the food and company, at that time, in that place, with others who also found themselves there with you. I always share this food experience with friends and family at home who ask about my trip to Kanazawa. Ronnie is extremely good at what he does and you can really see, feel and taste the creativity and the European influences in the food he prepares. You don't have to take my word for it. There are plenty of other reviews and pictures that will echo the same message. If you are in Kanazawa, this is a one of a kind experience and it is well worth it to make your way to Chez Ronnie. It may be a little bit difficult to find as the entrance is in a hallway on the first floor (1F) but once you find the open area, the hallway is just to the right of the set of stairs then just look for the sign and you can't miss it!

My partner and I went to Chez Ronnie for dinner on a quiet Tuesday night and had the restaurant all to ourselves. The restaurant is tucked inside an entertainment complex and not very visible from the street level. But don’t be put off by the somewhat secluded location - it adds to the charm! Food wise, it is modern, chic and innovative Japanese. You can definitely identify traces of the chef’s colourful and impressive résumé from his time in Europe. We enjoyed every single dish, and they are a refreshing change from the very traditional Japanese dining scene. The chef prepared food in front of his customers, engaged in friendly conversations and was a generous and hospitable host. It was a real treat to spend the evening at Chez Ronnie. We loved our experience so much and will definitely return next time we are in Kanazawa.

If I could give 6 stars for my dining experience at Chez Ronnie I would. The food was a brilliant blend of Japanese and European influences, showcasing some of the best produce from the local area. The chef / owner was extremely personable and passionate. A wonderful experience, and I would happily return again. Highly recommended if you visit Kanazawa

I don't usually write reviews but dinner at Chez Ronnie / Ryu was one of our favorite meals in our 3 week trip to Japan. Not only was the food delicious but Ronnie (who speaks perfect English ) was engaging and fun to be with. We are looking forward to next time we are in Kanazawa so we can join him for dinner again. Highly Recommended

Excellent food and wine. This tiny gem in the busy area of Katamachi in Kanazawa. East meets West contemporary style of menu will surprise you for sure. Perfect for couples and group of friends. Ronnie the chef speaks most European language, you will enjoy his hospitality.

We went to Chez Ronnie last night. The Owner of this tiny restaurants (6 counter seets) worked all around the world as Sushi-Chef. He is very friendly and speaks perfect English. We ordered the Omakase – and the chef surprised us with a very tasty selection of Sashimi, Cevice and Sushi ad Meat. The combination of rice (with a special Sushi vinnegar) fish (Chef told us about every fish where he got it from – and what was so special about it) and sauce (each sushi got its own chef-made sauce in order to give it an optimal taste) made it an unique Omakase-experience. The Omakase was fairly priced (8000 Yen) as was the bottle of White Wine (5000 Yen). We can highly recommend this place!
