I am updating my review even though my visit was almost 2 years ago. And even with so much time passed, I remember my visit vividly as if it were yesterday. This place has some of the best if not the best adequately priced sushi you will ever have in the area or in Japan as a whole. You get the option of counter or table seating. And even though the counter has a conveyor belt with freshly made pieces, we opted to choose our pieces à la carte since it’s guaranteed that they hadn’t spent much time going around (although the pieces were so good they never got to pass without being chosen). The chefs are very fun and friendly and the ambiance was super relaxed and welcoming. They have another branch at the fish market but that one is usually busy since the place is a tourist trap. Even if the line seems long, reserve a seat and come back later. It is well worth the wait.

You could either come really early or late to avoid the rush hour wait. Pick up the que number from the vending machine at the front and wait for the call out. Very fresh sushi quality! Probably one of the most famous brand in town. Fun experience if you never had revolving sushi bar before.

Be prepared to wait in line. Use the machine to select how many people and if you want a counter seat or table. It will then print out a ticket with your number. The machine will show you where you are in the queue. Waited for 40mins and got a table. The sushi was fresh and excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced.

First had this in 2018 and was blown away by the top quality and price. Now the standard has dropped but still good for the price point. Seems to be full of north asian tourist now and always a queue.

Our visit to Morimiri was very enjoyable. The sushi was high standard compared to sushi outside Japan and ok standard by Japanese standard. The conveyor belt did not have much variety but you could order anything from the iPad and the selection was huge. Your order would be delivered within minutes. They also offer a few dishes with meat, soups, salad and desserts. It was all delicious. There was a very long line if people waiting when we got there (30+) but it only took around 20 minutes before we got seated. The friendly staff helped out a and was very nice

The line at the Omicho location was crazy so we went to this location next to the train station instead. Good, but not as fresh as Omicho (but still amazing comped against even high end places in tier 1 cities outside of Japan). Recommend going to the Omicho location in the morning. Sweet shrimp is amazing! Try the crab butter! Note: you’ll need to use the ticket machine in front of the restaurant to get assigned a number. You can request counter seating, a table, or whichever is available. There is a printed graphic on the machine with some instructions in English but the machine’s software UI itself is all Japanese. Worth brushing up on Japanese numbers before hand as announcements are in Japanese only. Otherwise you can hover around the machine to see the status of the line. Expect a decent wait (30-1 hour) around meal times, especially on the weekends.

Good dining experience with friend at here. Moat of the sushi are fresh, especially the fatty tuna fish. 4 star because of the fatty tuna sashimi. Well done to chef and the management team to maintain quality food to the customers.

Nice place for sushi lovers. Queued around 30 mins. Sashimi & sushi and yummy and fresh. Highly recommend the tuna & uni sushi. Also the restaurant has great selection of alcohol, such as sake, beer & wine.

We came here for lunch and it took only 10 mins waiting to be served (may be due to Covid-19 so it was not so crowded even in Sunday). There are about 5 chefs preparing sushi in front of us. Nothing to complain about their food and service.

Fresh, efficient, tasty and diverse menu options ! Worth the wait on the particular day (over 40 mins wait). Good draft beer. Budget between 3-5k yen per person for a decent number of sushi (I bought majority salmon and tuna).

The sushi is big and fresh! We had a wide variety of food, so we were very happy with the variety of sushi we had. However, it's best to check in advance how to do the reception and what time you should be there as it gets really busy on weekends☺️.

Overall: 4 COVID-19 prevention: 4 Location: 5, adjacent to the station Foods: 4 Drinks: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Service: 5 Cost Performance: 3 Smoking: no Tourist Friendly: it depends, no English menu but you can select from the digital menu with a picture. Credit Card: yes, including Diners. Comments: very popular sushi restaurant in Kanazawa. There is a long waiting list approximately an hour but I’d doubt it deserves. Kinda overpriced and the quality is not necessarily best. Having said that, Japanese horse mackerel is truly good.

Came to take queue number at about 5pm on Sunday and got called at about 6pm. The queue seems to be never ending so either come earlier or get a queue number then go shop around. There is a wide variety of sushi available and the price is reasonable. In terms of freshness, I think it’s acceptable.

We came here just before 5:00pm and must have managed to just miss the line. My wife isn't a huge seafood fan but after dining here she was converted! Everything is freshly prepared and comes quickly to your table. There isn't an English menu but the digital tablet which you order on has translations for most dishes (or you pick based on the photos). Probably our favourite was the salmon, mayo and onion though even the cheaper tuna cuts tasted really good. They also have booth seating so good if you have small kids with you.

Very fresh fishes. I highly recommend the sashimi, tasting really good and even a bit sweet from its freshness. We came around 5pm and waited 1 hour. For lunch it would take even more, which might have influence on whole experience.

Pricy as a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but indeed good quality (probably cost you 4000-5000 JPY in avg) Be expected a long queue. No online or phone reservation is available so be onsite earlier and take a ticket to block your seats. (Unfortunately cannot reserve it beforehand)

If you don't have time to line up just order for take out but at least you should know japanese because staff couldn't understand english well (I use japanese ) I'm not sure if staff can offer you a help to order because they all busy especially dinner time Packing is good they seperate box between wasabi included and wasabi excluded Quality is pretty good ,fresh and flavourful Reasonable price I spend 15000 yen for this meal Overall is 5 stars

English menu available. Long queue. Be prepared to wait an hour or so. Sushi is decent, otoro really melts in your mouth. Price is reasonable for sushi and sashimi.

Very fresh & great tasting variety of sushi! Take in mind, the place has huge lines, i had to wait 2 hours in the queue, but the food was absolutely worth it 😊come early!

Very delicious sushi. But the waiting line is a bit scarry. Almost 2 hours wait for a 45 minutes eating for me. Price a bit expensive too. If you are not really a big fan of sushi or maybe not really curious about sushi in Kanazawa, don't waste your time in the line. However, the tuna set is so bloody good. Yum.

Great place for sushi in Kanazawa! This place is worth the wait. I think we waited for 45 minutes but I didn't mind at all, the food was so good! The staff is very friendly also. We ate a fair bit, we were full but not overly stuffed, and it came to ¥6200 for 2 people (we ordered several of the higher value items as well).

Great sushi but be prepared to wait! We waited for an hour and 10 minutes on a Sunday, starting at 1pm. The system is pretty brutal; you get a number and if you're not there when your number is called you miss out.

Fresh salmon sushi. Need to q at least 1 hour.

  • 5/5 Masaaki S. 1 year ago on Google
Simply spectacular. It’s reasonably priced and they offer a wide selection. Chef’s selection is something you don’t want to miss. Tuna, Salmon, Nodoguro (Blackthroat)…all of them were excellent. I’d happily come back again. You get a ticket from a machine in front of the restaurant. There is a long queue but half of them seem to give up waiting so actual wait is shorter.

Just missed our booking call when we had arrived after obtaining a ticket 1.5 hours earlier. No one with a number after ours had gone in yet, however we were still refused entry by the staff without a reasonable explanation. Very poor treatment of customers.

After waiting 1.5 hours, they would not let us in because we just missed our call. Our number was 209 and the screen was showing that 210 did not go in yet, so I could not understand why they would not let us in. They tried explaining they only do one call but it feels very unfair that they would refuse our entry when we did not miss our position.

It’s okay decent sushi but pricewise it’s not so cheap

Slow service, the orders were wrong, and the fish wasn't great for the price. I'm sure some menu items are better than others, but the things I ordered were not great.

It was a very nice location, which we found by accident. The waiting time exceeded 1 hour as we came quite late ~17:20. As it was our first and only day in Kanazawa, we've decided to wait. And it was worth it 😋 In a meantime we met a very friendly local young man who patiently waited (as well around an hour) to get in with his wife and a friend. Even the time was long, we really enjoyed it as we got to chat with him and learnt about the fact, that he came from a place which was our first stop of our trip across Japan called Oita. Again I cannot highlight the friendliness and that welcoming feeling of Japanese people. We really enjoyed time here 😉 🙏🍣
