Yummy croissants. Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, and its close proximity to the shopping district. But it’s far enough away from the crowds. I noticed dogs also ok. Lovely owner and friendly staff.

Croissant here was really crispy and well made! The egg was done really well and everything looks aesthetic! Coffee was great! Tried the iced latte which was really nutty and no bitter aftertaste, and osmanthus latte which was on the sweeter side. Friendly staff members who can speak fluent English and Mandarin! Even offered to recommend local places and the generic highlights of the prefectures that we might visit!

Just amazing. Came here for breakfast two days in a row. Must go here if you’re passing by. I had the Coconut Oat Latte, Matcha Latte, Avocado Keema Curry, and Smoked Salmon & Avocado croissant sandwich. They serve cocktails too. Menu is in English. Staff speaks English. The portion sizes are large and filling IMO. Cheap breakfast ~¥1800/$13 for drink and food.

There’s not a lot of breakfast spots in Osaka but this one really hits the spot. Great cafe selection, with a lot of drinks on the sweeter side. The croissant sandwich is simple, fresh, and tasty. The avocado curry plate is delicious and filling. Prices are very reasonable. Great place to start the day

Restaurant/Cafe: maZe Rating: 9/10 (I have yet to try the rest of the food and coffee, so let's put it at a 9 for now!) Coffee: Hand drip coffee is really good, very well executed. The owner brewed the coffee herself, and you can tell she knows her stuff! I got the Ethiopia, it was bright with notes of sweet peaches. One of the best coffee I've had since arriving in Osaka. I just left the coffee shop, but I told them I'll be back tomorrow! Aside from the owner, they also have another barista who brews their coffee. They said tomorrow the other barista will also come in. I'll try to bring some friends tomorrow. I'm excited to see how tomorrow goes! Food: Egg bacon croissant. Bacon is good, not too salty and not so sweet, and has less fat. The croissant is really crispy and light, it doesn't rely on the taste of butter and doesn't leave an oily feeling in your mouth. It pairs well with the fillings! Very nice flavor combo! Staff: Owner and staff are really welcoming. As a tourist, it was very helpful because they speak English well. They're so nice and accommodating, and they're happy to chat about coffee. Interior: Very nice place and interior. Perfect relaxing cafe to start your day in Osaka! Price: Price is not bad. Very reasonable for the quality of the coffee and food! Hours: I've noticed cafes in Osaka (or Japan, really) tend to open later than what we're used to. maZe is no exception. On some days they open at 9AM, while on other days they open at 11AM. Be sure to check their hours. I'm glad they'll be open at 9AM tomorrow, just in time for breakfast! Overall: Great coffee and food, great owner and staff. Definitely recommend dropping by when you're in Osaka! Also, give them a follow on Instagram and leave a review on here so more people will find them. The only reason I gave them a 9 out of 10 is because I haven't tasted the other coffee and food options. But I plan to remedy that during the rest of my stay in Osaka!

Came here for brunch because Westwood Bakery had a queue outside its cafe. Like many places in Japan, this little gem is situated off the main road, so it can be missed unless you're specifically looking for it. We managed to get a table for 4 straight away. Coffee was great and well poured - oat milk, coconut milk and soy also available for an extra small fee! Bacon and egg croissants were delicious and not too heavy. Black sesame basque cheesecake was smooth and not overly sweet. The Keema scallion curry was a stand-out and a must-try if you're passing by. Staff speak basic English and are really friendly. Highly recommended.

The best breakfast we ever had in our lives! Amazing latte choices you wouldn’t find in America. They have a ginger latte we very much recommend! Their breakfast comes with fresh greens which you wouldn’t ever find in America and as an azn I love!!! I also accidentally spilled my soup and their service was great! Sorry for spilling the soup!

I, my wife, and my daughter came, and it was very cold, five degrees Celsius, and there were Japanese citizens inside, along with some Europeans, and as they saw us, the employee said, “There is no place, and I do not know when there will be a place.” The Europeans were laughing and there were no requests for them. The employee said, “Get out of here,” and she gestured with her hand. We waited 15 minutes, and my daughter was tired of the cold. So I said to my wife, “Let’s go from here.” We searched for a nearby location, and thank God, we found a nearby location that was better than this bad, racist place.

Great croissant breakfast sandwiches. Matcha latte and drip coffee was good as well. And the matcha cheesecake was perfecttttt. The flavor was great and not to sweet.

Great cafe experience! Bacon and egg crossaint was perfect and coffee was well-balanced! Staff was also very knowledgeable about coffee beans (they roast their beans in-house!) and gave great recommendations!!

Stumbled upon this gem of a place near Shinsaibashi. Love the minimal, stone-based decor and great customer service by the staff who also spoke English. The cafe latte and burnt basque cheesecake I ordered were both amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here 😌

The French toast tasted good, quite eggie, yumm. The specialty coffee was good but may have been better for me if it was light roasted instead of medium as there was a slight bitter after taste.

Very nice restaurant for brunch. I had the egg Benedict plate which included the most amazing pumpkin soup. My boyfriend a croissant with egg and avocado and we both got lattes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The staff was so friendly and lovely.

Amazing cafe for a breakfast or brunch. Love the ambience and food, oh and don’t forget to try the amazing drip coffee experience as they make it just in-front of you.

The food and coffee were both excellent. I had the bacon and egg croissant with a caramel latte, then later the avocado curry with a brown sugar latte and I would recommend both. Plenty of indoor seating, no outdoor seating. English menus available. Pricing was normal.

You would enjoy the food and coffee here. We had prawn-avocado croissant and keema curry with Avocado. I think the avocado served here would be approved by avocado lovers 🥑😋 We also tried the black sesame cheese cake topped with black sesame ice cream which was exceptional delicious.

A beautiful cafe I enjoyed breakfast at. The bacon and egg croissant and iced black coffee was delicious. Nice and cool in the air con, and the atmosphere was peaceful and nice.

Great coffee, great food and great customer service. If you come here, I recommend getting the Keema crossiant, not spicy yet so flavourful. I'm actually very impressed with the fusion, I will definitely come back here when I'm back in Osaka.

Amazing brunch! The egg sandwich was seasoned beautifully and the tart and drink were perfectly sweet! Not too much at all! With a full meal like this I think I paid a reasonable price!

👍👍 Go to the basement floor which has all kinds of food stalls and specialty stores. Go there an hour before closing and most of the packaged food items will be discounted like 30% or Y300 off. It’s great deal for budget travel. They also have very good yogurt drinks and other bakery items.

👍👍 An amazing dinning experience available in different locations throughout Japan, but we enjoyed ours most in Osaka. Quick and tasty, but take your time enjoying the savory cuts you get to cook to your own delight at your table. Very friendly and efficient staff. Some waiting likely during dinning...
