What can I say? Might be the best bar I've ever been to. If you found this place via Google, Reddit or any other online place where people were discussing the best music bar for tourists in Japan, I can confirm that everything you've read is true. The music is excellent, the host, Wataru, is such an awesome guy, and the drinks are even better. I could've spent hours talking about music with him and listening to some great vinyl. I truly wish I lived in Osaka just so I could come back here every week! If you're in Osaka for even just a day, I highly recommend you visit Groovy, it's a one-of-a-kind place.

This is THE PLACE to go to in Osaka for: great times, awesome music, new friends, good conversation. We came back to Wataru's bar multiple times on our trip to Osaka to start the night, end the night, for drinks in the middle, you name it! Wataru's music taste is unmatched; he really knows how to read the room! We meet other foreigners here as well as locals. The cocktails are great, good whiskey selection and the atmosphere and decorations are perfect. We'll be back for sure!

One of the best bars I've ever been to and definitely my favorite in Japan. Just overall a friendly and welcoming bar like no other. The drinks are good, music is great, and the company is incredible, Wataru is a great bartender and DJ and we look forward to coming back next time we are in Osaka.

Popped in after exploring Dotonborri as this was near our hotel. Turned out to be our highlight of Osaka. Made to feel very welcome by the owner who was extremely friendly, he makes an excellent cocktail and ordered in takoyaki for us! Mind blowing collection of vinyl, excellent speakers and good chat about music, even putting on our favourite songs. We were introduced to others at the bar and had great conversation with people from all over the world. Go visit!!!

Gotta be my favourite bar in Osaka! Cocktails are fantastic and extreme value for money. Wataru is super cool as well, introducing everyone to each other so that the vibes are chill. His vinyl music selection is great and song requests are welcome! Spent under 5000 yen for 6 drinks. Will definitely return when I'm in Osaka!

Music Bar Groovy is definitely my favorite bar in Osaka! Awesome music selection on vinyl and really great cocktails made by the owner of the bar. He was super cool and fun to talk to as well! I would definitely recommend coming to Music Bar Groovy!

Had a phenomenal time at this bar while I was in Osaka. It was filled with great people and fantastic music. The owner has a great ear for music and has a lot of vinyls to choose from. Would highly recommend going to this place and chatting him up.

Great atmosphere lead by the owner and a couple of regular costumers that made us feel like if we, too, had been going there for a long time. Wide selection of records both japanese and international. We came out with a good list of bands to listen to! Enjoyed our local whiskey and beer.

I never reviewed any place in my life but now I feel like it‘s my duty to do so. This Bar does not only have a great interior but the greatest owner I have ever met. Wataru and his place makes you feel like home, even if you‘re 9000km away from your real home. I‘m not even a week here in Osaka and I already feel like I have found a place where you get accepted for who you are. The drinks and the stories along them are a combination you don‘t want to miss. I‘m already sad to think, that I have to leave this place behind because it really made my first stay in Osaka and my first stay in Japan in general, an incredible experience. I‘m looking forward to the next 2 Weeks I can go to this Bar. I would give 6 Stars if I could! Amazing Place!

Superb wide selection of music played via vinyl. A very diverse cultural experience which is a rare find in Osaka and to a point where locals are somewhat compelled to learn some English. Very reasonable priced drinks. A must include in your itinerary to Osaka. A truly unique and a rare find.

Perfect place to go in Osaka for some good drinks and funky tunes. Easy to meet other people at the bar and Wataru is an excellent bar tender/DJ. Ended up going back multiple times during my short stay in Osaka. Don’t miss it.

The owner is really nice. Played some great songs on vinyl and kept a good atmosphere with guests. Recommend to anyone who visits Osaka, I will for sure be returning.
