Went here after decent online reviews and had the worst experience of our trip so far. Ordered prawn curry for main course and after waiting 45 mins despite there only being 2 occupied tables in a grim environment restaurant, our food arrived. There was TWO TINY prawns in my curry and I asked the waiter was it mistake. He said that was the portion and the starter had five. It would take 25mins if I wanted to order more. Out naan bread was raw and soggy and the waiter agreed to remove from bill. When we went to pay, the bill had the naan bread crossed out and instead said "10% tax". I refused to pay this as the tax must come from the receipt which the waiter said they did not have. He was incredibly rude and said he would call the police, which I had no issue with as the restaurant is clearly not paying their taxes and adding amounts at will under various food items on their till. Avoid, Avoid Avoid and go instead to one of the many lovely restaurants in Osaka. Horrible experience.

One of the best restaurants to visit in Osaka..!! one can experience authentic Indian food here, good taste and ambiance..!! The staff are very polite and friendly. All Covid counter measures are followed both in the kitchen and the dining areas..!! Looking forward for my next visit..!!

A very lovely restaurant and friendly staff. Nice ambience with good background music. I have ordered the paratha (potato and peas) initially and after that Vegetarian lunch set. Everything was very tasty, I would say must go for vegetarian lunch set too. Received the additional hot tea as a service. Special mention for chutney that's make the food complete. Thank you.

Best Indian Restaurant In Japan! As a business man I travel all over the Japan! And as a Food lover I love to try food from all over the world specially Indian food because I lived in India for many years! I tried many Indian Restaurants in Japan but Indian Restaurant Bar Banjara in Osaka is my favorite! The shop atmosphere is excellent reminds me that I am in India. The food whatever I ordered was excellent and well prepared Staff is well behaved and friendly! I am glad that I found this Restaurant! I will go frequently here with my Indian business clients! Authentic Indian cuisine! One of the few in Osaka. Conveniently located from Umeda station. The staff are polite and serve well. Menu is extensive. A bit overpriced though.

Excellent meal of butter chicken and Byriani. Service was excellent. Lovely atmosphere. I definitely recommend for a comfortable spot to enjoy a delicious meal.

Well if you coming to osaka and searching authentic indian or i would say even better this is the place to be....great staff...tandori roti naan lachha Paratha like india even better not what you get normally in japan... To owners please upload betters photo online this is a must visit palce for food your branding or name is a bit confusing...tokyo and kyoto needs your branch 😊 Thank you for a great meal 😊

I found that this Indian restaurant was very good and authentic. The service was great and the place was nicely decorated. The food was as what another reviewer said, good but maybe not worth the amount you pay. For what you pay, one would hope for a larger portion. That said, we’re in Japan, and maybe the portions they serve here are what is to be expected. In any case, the food is actually truly good, I especially loved their stuff naan bread and mango Lassi! Truly an epic meal. I love Indian food and would definitely come back here again if I had a hankering for Indian food in Japan once again.

Staff was really friendly, and understanding. They customised some dishes to make vegetarian. Very good vegetarian option. As an Indian in Japan I can attest this as one of those places with a taste close to home. Good aesthetic as well. I have eaten the following( over multiple visits of course 😅): Chana chat, Paneer tikka, onion pakora, vegetable spring rolls(on request) Paneer butter masala, Palak paneer ( both really impressive) Vegetable Biryani Waaaaaaaah! It has been a true discovery for me in Japan!!

The service was very professional and quick. Food was delicious with authentic Indian taste. Menu is splendid and homely Indian vibe is guaranteed 😊👍 I'll recommend for dinner plus parcel for next day😁👍

Food was great but there were roaches in my food and I could not enjoy it. I was told the roach was spice when in fact …. It was a roach. If you don’t mind roaches the have at it.

Banjara is a lovely Indian restaurant. It is located on the 6th floor as if it is a secret hide-out! It has an authentic decor with old Bollywood music playing in the background. The staff are attentive and friendly. We were told by the staff that the decor was imported all the way from India about 20 years ago. Impressive! To our delight, they offer vindaloo dishes during dinner (A Portuguese dish in origin but adapted by the people of Goa in India. It's a fiery hot dish with lots of meat, vinegar, garlic, and other spices). This was a major plus. We've never come across an Indian restaurant that offers vindaloo dishes. We chose the A-Lunch set ¥850. It came with a huge naan, rich spinach soup, salad, rice, chicken curry, and chai. The portions were just alright, the taste was average though. Typical of most Indian restaurants in Japan. We had our curries in plain and super hot versions. The plain chicken curry was very sweet. The super hot version was more authentic. There were a few chunks of meat making it a satisfying lunch. The chai was nice and hot. Adding ginger (adrak chai) or cardamom would have made the chai more exotic. Overall, I would rate 4 stars for the taste and 5 stars for the friendly service and ambience. Upon leaving, the staff mentioned about 20% discount for dinner. That would be a real treat particularly when you visit as a large group. Looking forward to having mutton vindaloo (probably titled as マトンスーパーホット&ホットカレ) and various kinds of biryani.

This restaurant has left the best impressions. Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes and they were so cooperative.I would like to come back here again whenever I visit Japan again.

A few places in Osaka that satisfies the Indian-at-heart. Staff and service was good. The food was prepared relatively quickly. For cold weather outside, inside (level 6) was warm and welcoming.
