The tsukuba botanical gardens are amazing. Easy to reach and park. Very cheap ticket to see many unique and local plants. I came in the winter and while many of the outdoor plants were done blooming, inside the greenhouses there were many unique and flowering plants. The size of the greenhouses must be seen to believe. Some of the trees inside are very tall. A great way to spend an hour or two.

Wonderful place ; the green houses are really nice and it’s feels as if we in the actual place where these plants actually grow.

I visited there when my senior from Okinawa wanted to guide me and my Vietnamese friend. It was on conference day and I wore formal shoes without recognizing that the garden was so big. It’s interesting anyway… especially the big green house with tropical plants inside. Worth to explore.

I wish there was many more natural parks like this in Tokyo as well Plenty of nature with few people despite a holiday. So many interesting plants and trees.

This botanical garden is not too wide but it has various plants inside. You can't go there by car because they don't provide parking lot, I like this environmental consideration. I went there as regular visitor and paid for 330¥ (sorry I don't remember well). The main building has a help desk, souvenir shop, vending machine, and common room for guest activity (especially for children). Getting more inside, I found endangered plant area which gave me important knowledge about japanese plant biodiversity. In the middle of the garden you'll find also greenhouse and museum. There's toilet too. And my favourite part is the water plant area. Overall, this place is so quiet and calm, very good for just relaxation or getting inspired by nature.

I was lucky that there was a limited time orchid exhibition during my visit. It is a nice place especially for the family with baby. You can also rent a stroller for baby and senior citizen. There are 3-4 greenhouses and nice tracking route.. Baby and kids friendly place👶🏻👧🏻👦🏻

(Translated by Google) I saw a big konjac flower. It is an unusual shape. I explored the premises, but there were many kinds of plants and I was able to recuperate very much. Also, several greenhouses are wonderful. Please go once.

(Translated by Google) I've come across the news that the giant giant konjac is flowering. The petals were closed, but a hole was made and you can see inside. I waited for the parking lot on weekdays, probably because of the news. Various flowers bloomed in other greenhouses. I want to come see other flowers when it gets warm.

(Translated by Google) Overall good, but if you have a disability or handicap, the outdoors are recommended. Many dangerous places in the greenhouse, step stairs, detours, many narrow roads, wheelchair is probably dangerous? The inside of the room is specialized in plants, with exhibits, easy-to-understand explanation cards, etc. The facilities are aging and old facilities. Are you focusing on konjac? The parking lot guides the third floor of the multi-story parking lot, even if it is vacant. Too many guards felt, in vain. [Weekday] It is a vacant facility except for a limited time, Food is safe, small, and with no partitions. The toilet guidance is also difficult to understand. Children are dangerous because crows are used to much. be careful.

(Translated by Google) I went to see big flowers that bloom only once every few years. Unfortunately it was too late so I fell down. . . As the name suggests, experiments and research seem to be strong, and unlike the ornamental main botanical garden, there is a feeling of jumble, but it is good for plant lovers.

(Translated by Google) This time, I went to see the flowers of Shogaku giant konjac. It was nice to see flowers that were rarely seen. And there were many places where we could recognize that this was originally a research facility. For this reason, there was an exhibition devised so that ordinary people could be interested in smelling and touching. In the photo, a hole is made in the Buddha's flame of Shokoku giant konjak so that female and male flowers can be seen.

I came on Nov 3 Culture Day and the entrance is free but normally it is around 320 yen. The staff are really kind and helpful. There are flyers and maps in Japanese, but multilingual guidebook and map can be found in the website so it's easy to navigate and understand. The information on the plants also has binomial nomenclature so I think it's still understandable. There are lots of plants grown in different habitats and you can see many interesting vegetations both outside and inside the greenhouse. It took us around 2 hours to see all of the areas and exhibitions. Beside that, there is also a mini museum with skeletons and fossils at the north side of the area which is quite a nice addition. I recommend to come early in the morning so that it's not too crowded or maybe during the weekdays. There are also benches around the area if you need a break, so I think kids will like it too. I think it would be nice to check this place out every season to see all the flowers bloom. Really recommend this place for both plant enthusiasts and families!
