標高は300m前後です。
上に高架の県道が通っています。

賑やかな御幸ヶ原の下に鎮座し、人気の少ない場所なので筑波山登山の際に寄るのもオススメ。

👍 現研究学園駅近くに,下に何も通っていないのに他よりもスパンが長い高架橋の橋桁が有ります。この下をかつては高速周回路のストレート部分が通っていました。正面に筑波山が見える方角だったと思います。その他にもいくつか,現在の街並みの区割りに痕跡が残っています。
