(Translated by Google) From the Tanigawadake Ropeway, it takes about 50 minutes to walk along the paved road to reach Ichinokurazawa Deai. There are benches and toilets here, so you can eat lunch and relax while looking at the view of Ichikurazawa. On this day (November 1st), the rock wall of Ichinokurazawa was covered with snow and had wonderful autumn colors. I think it would have been great if it was a blue sky. The road is a little steep at first, but after two curves it becomes a nearly flat climb. If you are not confident of walking, there is an 8-wheel EV bus, so I think it's easier, but I think it's better to contact the site to confirm because it may be necessary to make a reservation when it is crowded.

2023.06.04 Driving from Shiga Kogen to Kusatsu on a mostly sunny weekend. There are parking lots with views here and there, so you can take a deep breath of clean air and enjoy the scenery there, but depending on the time of day it can get crowded and you won't be able to stop. Especially on this day, the motorcyclists were taking commemorative photos of their beloved cars one by one in front of the monument, so they parked their bikes diagonally apart in the surrounding parking space frames, making it difficult to find the car they wanted to park. I couldn't get in and had to stop on the road and wait. Please respect manners when parking. As we near Kusatsu, the sulfur smell becomes stronger and the mountain is alive! I think so.

(Translated by Google) After Kagamiike, I passed from Nagano to Kusatsu to see the autumn leaves. Unexpected snow scene! The autumn leaves are beautiful, but I saw the snow-covered trees for the first time, so it was a very nice drive. On the morning of the 17th, at the end of the Obon holiday, I went to Yonago Great Falls in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park with my seniors and juniors. After about an hour's drive through the deep mountains from Suzaka, we arrived at the parking lot! It was past 10am and there were already about 8 cars. There is a "Beware of Bears" sign at the entrance to the mountain. Let's borrow the stock that was always available and go to the mountain! The road was flat at first, but before we knew it, the climb became steeper, and while we were sweating profusely, we discovered a huge waterfall! Fudo Falls! I started sweating as I approached the negative ion spray, but beyond that there was a very steep slope to Fudoson Okunoin, and there were two bells to protect against bears, so it was scary! Arrive in about 15 minutes. From there, you'll have to climb a very steep slope again to see Gongen Falls. The best! We also encountered an antelope! Even if you don't go all the way around the course, it takes about an hour and a half round trip. It was good to go. ! There is also a clean restroom in the parking lot. Why not try it once?

This area is beautiful! We love coming to Shiga in the winter, and I’m sure it’s amazing in the summer as well. The views are amazing on all sides. You can’t escape the mountains here. Nature is amazing, and this is a perfect national park to experience it.

Climb Mt. Naeba on the Haragawa course. There are countless ponds dotted around the mountaintop, where you can enjoy the high moor and the view above the clouds.

(Translated by Google) While I was driving home, a fox appeared on the road, so when I took a picture, Google automatically designated the shooting location as Joshinetsu Kogen National Park. It's far from the marker, but all the photos are in the park. Joshinetsu Kogen National Park is said to have 189,062 hectares, which is the second largest after Taisetsuyama National Park.

Spectacular landscape in the Japanese Alps, where as you go up in height, you can see how the forest changes, and you can see volcanic peaks and fumaroles. Very nice and recommended.

This was such a special experience. The hike to the park was breathtaking and we were not disappointed with the amount of monkeys we saw. We went in winter during peak sighting time, so make sure you plan around the season and the peak time the monkeys are active.
