Worst experience ever. Receptionist for follow up on phone was extremely rude. Nurse who take your vitals couldn't care less if you died right in front of them. They spoke about and asked questions loudly in the hallways disclosing all of my personal private medical info. The hallways echo so everything is hear through the thin walls in the back area while waiting for a physician. Extremely uncomfortable environment. Not a place I sould recommend anyone have to go through anything relatively close to what I had to endure. It was awful. Please read all these reviews...they speak truth. This place is a joke and a scam and the people very clearly hate their job.

The doctor on call, Doctor M. Girgis, was not helpful at all. She was sarcastic & abrupt. She was almost nasty. She made me feel like my questions about my symptoms & her prescribed meds were stupid. She prescribed a questionable antibiotic. I was concerned because I have an allergy to certain anti-biotics. As she left she said “you can take it or not. It’s up to you.!” Also, after minimizing my symptoms, they are worse since my visit. I won’t use City MD again. The office staff is friendly, patient, & professional.

If I can give negative score, I would. I give FF- if anyone really need see doctor, I suggest you go somewhere else. First of all, the receptionist is very unprofessional & rude who yelled me being rude. but she didn’t see herself how unpleasant, unprofessional & rude👎👎 second, the doctor even didn’t put his stethoscope on my body for 2 second (of course won’t bother check my mouth… anywhere , none 👎) your facility doesn’t deserve to charge patient money. Patients got sick & really need help. But your facility either didn’t training your people well or that’s what your management guides them to go quick to take advantage of patients insu. Bottom line, it’s a joke to take care patients👎👎

Avoid this place at all costs! I’ve attempted to seek care at this place twice, and both times it just didn’t happen. The first incident occurred roughly two years ago. I had fallen down a flight of steps at JSQ Station and broke my hand. As CityMD is directly across the street I walked over to seek emergency treatment for my hand. Upon walking in I was greeted by an eye rolling, attitude throwing and utterly rude receptionist, whom obviously had no desire to be there. The very first question from her lips were “do you have insurance”. I was and am still uninsured. Being uninsured I understand there are significant monetary costs to get treatment. Instead of being asked about how I intended to pay and what the costs involved would be, I was simply told, and this is a direct quote, “we can’t do anything for you here. We only take the insured.“ I was in an obvious state of shock and in major pain. My hand was swollen to four times normal size and I was turned away. This was insult to injury. Today, I walked over to seek a Covid test, was again asked about my insurance status and whe I told them again that I was uninsured the told me the test costs $225.00. Seriously. $225.00. Needless to say I walked right out. I get it. They, like every other corporation and medical institution in this country are about profit Nothing less, nothing more. Just money. CityMD has made it abundantly clear once again that only factor that matters is money and how much than can gouge from medical insurance companies, not that medical insurance companies aren’t a bunch of price gouging crooks too. Stay away from these jokers.

If you want to go somewhere that steals your money then welcome to city md!! They are charging $200 for a rapid COVID test apparently the test might come with a stick of gold because only then does that make sense. Please do not get your COVID testing here if you don’t have insurance they litterally do them for cheaper and in some places they even do them free. I went to the pharmacy right next store and they were super cheap and realistic. We can’t continue to allow these criminals to keeping charging these ridiculous prices.

Even if the doctor is inside and the workers are present they still tell you that they will close in 2 minutes and they don’t care if your child can’t breath or if dying.. they say take the dying kid to emergency room since they have to be home right at 9pm.. Wry careless staff.. I hope god never show us the hard times to come back here. Never been so helpless. And also the only thing they care about is that your insurance dosnt cover so you need to pay at least $200 to be seen by a doctor. What a scam!!!

Front desk staff rude as hell ! They started charging for covid tests 2 weeks ago- I asked 1 question regarding charges and got met with the worst attitude Services were fine even the nurse was shocked at how nasty front desk was. If you have hair trigger patience why are working that role? CMD Journal square front desk staff: DO BETTER. A LOT BETTER.

My doctor was so outrageously rude and patronizing I didn’t even go back to this office for aftercare. He made fun of me several times and was in a huge hurry even though I was the only patient in the office. The nurses were kind and helpful and the office was clean, but the doctor singularly made this visit a bad experience

Have been here multiple times for Covid tests. Sometimes the wait is long (ex. when you arrive past noon they might not have any more slots), other times when you arrive close to their opening time there’s not that many people. Just went around 8:30 AM on a Wednesday and there were only 2 other patients when I walked in. When I came out (around 9 AM) there were maybe 5-6 in the waiting room. Wait time definitely does depend on if cases are spiking again. At some peaks I’d line up before they opened and there would be 15-25 people ahead of me already. Then they’d usually call me back around 10 - 11 AM. Tl;dr get there early if possible. Also when I went earlier today, both the assistant doctor and doctor were super nice. They were both Asian and male, forgot their names but if you get them you’re in good hands. There’s also a Russian (?) doctor that was very sweet and she took the time to answer the questions I had. Haven’t had really terrible experiences with the receptionists either.

Honestly, the place and workers are really nice, however, the provider on the other hand.. I came in for strep throat, and the provider didn’t even feel my neck or lymph nodes. He didn’t check out my chest, heart or lungs, and he peeked in my mouth for two seconds. The provider didn’t even examine my head and I constantly felt like he was either rushing or nervous. He ordered the medical assistant around and his bedside manner was terrible. As a medical student myself, he just showed me what not to do.

Horrible staff, who thinks everything is covid, only test you for covid, and nothing else, although you have no symptoms of covid 🤔, and then send you on your way, with no antibiotics to treat what you actually came there for. Becareful when coming here!!!!

The healthcare industry workers are supposed to have some empathy and softspokeness, but instead people like the City MD front desk and the office manager Olivia, have no basic understanding of how to work with patients. Rather than making an already disturbed person and family more disturbed, they should attempt to work with them to make things easier for them. Not asking to work magic, but with better communication and attentiveness, they can avoid situations that can potentially lead to additional grief to the patient and family. They need to understand that this is NOT a business where you just say what you can, just because you can. Falsifying information and not clarifying facts causes more complications and adds to the frustration that the whole system anyway has to offer. Proper process and ethical behavior training to all staff with enough tools and controls should be put in place to create a culture of inclusiveness, which gives the sense of belonging- NOT one that makes you feel like trash. If you want to have a detailed conversation about the episodes of conversations that led to this detailed feedback, I am open to having a healthy discussion. If I do not hear back, I will definitely understand this automated feedback process is “just a process”, that you don’t use to your benefit and the general good to make this world a better place !!

This is the most unprofessional and racist City MD I have ever been to in all of my life first of all the front desk staff did not greet me at all! Then they took 45 minutes to see when nobody was even in the damn city md when the nasty Russian blonde doctor was dismissive arrogant and Rude I bet if it was one of the Caucasian or Asian customers o would have been seen expeditiously I have a wound that is hurting me very bad and I was dismissed like a piece of shìt on the street because I know City MD overall has a Good rapport I am truly appalled and disgusted by how I was treated today.

Was scared to come here at first because I’ve been at CityMD’s and waited 2+ hours. I came 2x this week and barely waited 5 minutes. The nurses were extremely polite and caring. The doctors were amazing! Im so happy I have this place close by.

Go anywhere but here - the practitioners are exceptionally ignorant. The doctor I got referred to at a real practice looked at my chart and said out loud "why would they order all these tests, this is ridiculous" - tests I told them in the room were unnecessary and which they couldn't even tell me how much they would cost. A straight up scam. None of these people have any business being anywhere near the healthcare field.

Extremely poor doctors. The two times we had to go to them, they gave us 10 seconds of their time, told us all is well and if things progress, to go to emergency. Absolutely poor service with a 300 dollar bill for the doctor to tell me that my stomachache seems to have no cause and if it lasts longer, to go to the emergency room. Thank you 🙏🏻

The front desk and MA were really kind, my bf came in for an injury the doctor seemed like he absolutely hated his job. You can also hear everyone’s business from in the room because of how loud everyone is but that’s besides the point. If you’re coming here don’t expect empathy.

As someone who has had many bad experiences with doctors in the past, I actually feel safe going to this City MD and have gone several times now — namely because everyone there from the front desk to doctors to nurses are very kind as well as knowledgeable, and they always have lollipops at the front desk :))

These monsters misdiagnosed me, never checked my throat, never addressed my concern that i have Bronchitis or Pneumonia. Prescribe me cough syrup after telling them my symptoms been occurring for over 10 days. Went and got a second opinion a week later and had to be put on aggressive antibiotics. Their rush service isn't worth the hazard they produce I will be taking this up with the medical oversight committee.

I don't think they deserve 1 star. Because I went there Because my brother fell and he hurt himself on knee. He was in pain. I ask them to put some bandage on him, but they simply refused to do treatment. CityMD ask us they require parents only. Without them they won't do anything with my brother. I don't believe this. 👎👎

I have to honestly give this place 5 stars. I've worked in the medical field as a medical engineer for over 25 years for one company in multiple locations in all of NYC especially Brooklyn and Manhattan. I've seen mean staffs, uncaring doctors, and unkept cleanliness in facilities so I can tell you I know a good medical center when I enter one This particular location was excellent. They have a great front desk who was extremely helpful especially with the kiosk and the medical assistant who did my vitals was great and a patient listener. The facility was immaculate. Excellent air quality, clean floors and windows. The desks were tidy and organized. Just a really nice looking place inside. The doctor I had was Dr. Shah and she was 5 stars. Easy to talk to, she was informative, she explained as she went along, she was concerned about other health issues I have and expressed it. I've seen and worked with over 50 different doctors and countless staff members and this doctor was by far the most pleasant doctor I've ever met. 5 stars from me and I rarely ever give anyplace 5 stars.... 5 stars to the staff And definitely 5 stars to Dr. Shah ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

My daughter ended up on the ER less than 8 hours after visiting here. She had an ear infection the provider missed.

Do not go to these bunch of scammers, my daughter’ s throat was infected and the “Dr“said I should give Benadryl!!! Treating an infection with Benadryl are you kidding me! Even the ENT was shocked to hear this. I put quotation marks on Dr because I am questioning their credibility, don’t waste your time and get your insurance milked for nothing

I’ve used this medical center several times and found the level of care to be very high. The administrative procedure goes fast and smoothly and the nurses and doctors have been highly professional, competent and kindly. It’s comforting to have this excellent center in the neighborhood.

I'm sorry I got no relief from going to Urgent Care. I could have waited a day or two to see my own doctor. I had been in terrible pain all weekend. Went to Urgent care Monday morning and received no meds from urgent care.

The tech or nurse by thee name of Genesis at this CityMD was professional while being empathetic and kind. The doctor I spoke to was also empathetic, kind, and concise. I can’t say all of my experiences at this site have been great but this last one went really well.

Terrible experience. Doctor clearly in a rush. Paid to be told I’ll be better in 10 days. No recommendations of over the counters, home remedies or anything. He should have at least told me something to temporarily relieve my symptoms. The doctor was in and out in a matter of a minute.

My experience at City MD was quite pleasant the both times I visited. First time was on Nov 3rd, and second time was on Nov 7. I do not have anything negative to say, staff treated my emergencies with care and acted accordingly. The physicians were amazing.

  • 5/5 A Q. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent customer service with an equally efficient & professional after care call center that addressed my concerns immediately. I visited when they were not busy. Only downside was that there was only one working kiosk for electronic check in. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised by the polite staff. The front desk was professional and helpful and even answered my parking inquiries with kindness before my visit. I was blown away to be greeted by Hadia the medical assistant at the steps to lead me to the examination room. She said please and thank you each time and made me feel so comfortable. I'm so glad to have found this place and hope they continue to deliver the wonderful service I received.

Well maintained , professional and friendly staff and walk in COVid tests . The only drawback was the wait times, We need more of these around now that COVid tests have become a requirement of so many workplaces and schools

They did a great crowd control solution of people put on a queue. I had no problem refreshing to see where I was and I was able to go home and come back when I noticed my place in line was about to be called. The only down side was that it took three hours but that’s not their fault. They had a lot of patients. Once inside the room, the nurse swabbed my nose so gently I was impressed. Other nurses were so rough in the past. Got my results within an hour.

The worst place to go STAFF WILL NOT WORK! They overcharge just to pee in the bathroom! I tried to get a test done and they didn’t know what they were doing. Lied and said the work order did not show up on their end. Save the money and go to a real doctor that cares
