The location can't be beat. The room wasn't luxurious, but comfortable. Our number one criteria is being able to sleep to the sound of the surf, and this hotel is the only one like it on the beach. It's a beautiful design, the owner, Victor and his family were so friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was delicious, as was all the food we had there. Which, after trying a few other places, we felt it was the best. The staff were friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back.

My stay at Victor Hugo Hotel in Puerto Lopez, Ecuador was absolutely amazing. The owners were incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant served delicious and affordable food, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. The breathtaking ocean views from the hotel were simply incredible. The rooms are very spacious. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Puerto Lopez, I highly recommend Victor Hugo.

Massive food portions and delicious! I got my leftovers to take-away and had it for lunch the next day. Nice ambience too.

I'm hotel buenísimo con trabajadores muy genial. Voy a recordar mi estancia por siempre. Great time. The owner is a one of a kind man. He natively speaks English if you are worried about a language barrier. Jordan is the one of the best workers at a hotel period. The staff will help with any of your needs. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the walk across the street can't be beat. If you want to go to Isla de la Plata, make sure you stay here as your base camp. Couldn't recommend it more.

Good location within a 10 min walk of el centro. Far enough away that no noise from town. Basic economy rooms.

Great location- away from the beach bars and 50m from the beach! We arrived earlier than expected (6:00) and we could check in at 7:00! Also very nice to have AC in the room!

Very nice hotel at the quiet end of the malecon. Our room was on the third floor (no elevator) and had an excellent view of the ocean and good air conditioning, and the room was nicely done with a combination of brick and bamboo. The bar and restaurant are excellent with good service.

Great place to stay in Puerto Lopez. Rooms are clean, but pretty basic. Staff are very friendly and the location is perfect. It's located right on the beach but a few blocks down from all the bars and restaurants so it's actually quiet at night and you can sleep peacefully. The restaurant is very good.
