A secret bar with a very relaxing and enjoyable ambience which makes it a great place for chill and hang out. Cocktails and liquor are slightly on the expensive side but the experience makes up for it! Restrooms are very clean too and they even provide toiletries like hairpins and cotton buds etc. Definitely a place worth going for a good night’s drink and hang out location!

Very good bar and atmosphere. My only complain are: 1) drink are a little too weak/ diluted 2) there was a large group of people (6-8 pax) in this pub, play bar games knocking chopsticks on cups, and shouting and talking very loudly. Waitress did not ask them to lower down volume. Also the rule book states to not disturb other customers but this group was extremely noisy and disturbing that I want to exit immediately. If you want to hang out with a large group of friends, please go to another pub or club or restaurant please and don’t come here and disturb us in this small quiet hidden speakeasy please For this reason I’m giving 3 stars for not enforcing the customer to keep quiet. If you are ok with noise , feel free to come to this place . Otherwise I would really love the environment here if not for the group of noisy customers

Great hidden bar in the heart of Johor Bahru. The staff members are all young staff that have experience working overseas and actually know how to make a good cocktail. One of only 2 or 3 bars in Johor where you can get a top rate cocktail. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and not out of place in any large cosmopolitan city.

Hidden speakeasy in downtown Johor Bahru. No walk ins only prior reservations required. Very chill and quiet place on weekdays but can be noisy and vibrant during the weekends. Very cute and playful concept. Thoughtful bar with plenty of amenities for the patron, reminds me of Japanese service. Good collection of craft gin and whisky. Staff are friendly and warm. Awesome place to hangout.

I love this place so so so sooooo much. The snacks are just so good here! All the more the drinks!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommended. Johor should have more of places like this. Not noisy and you can easily enjoy your drinks on your own or with your friends.

A great place to satisfy your craving of good whiskey, gin and etc. They do serve good finger food that matches well with the alcohol. Very friendly stuff, they know their alcohol and would love to recommend you their favourites or help you with choosing one of your own.

Truly a hidden bar.. Nice and quiet place to chill with friends.. ordered peach chu-hai, pom chu-hai and oolong cassis.. personally do not recommend oolong cassis.. Reservation is required..

Very cool hidden bar. Atmosphere and design is unique, very good for dates and small meetups. Drinks menu always varies (seasonal). Bartender can also fix up a drink for you base on your mood or taste.

You need to have a reservation in advance to get in. It's really unmarked unless you know what you're looking for. We tried 5 drinks and all were delicious. They're really flexible to tweak the drinks to your taste too. It's pricey for JB but really affordable (and quite alcoholic!) compared to Singapore

great service! the 2 girls were not only the servers, they were also the bartenders. they were severely understaffed on a full night but nothing was compromised. loved their special cocktails 😍 will definitely be back!

Awesome cocktail bar! Huge menu to choose from, but I usually just tell Joe what I'm feeling that day and he will serve me a perfect cocktail everytime.

Didn’t expect a cocktail bar in jb, some drinks like corpse revival 2 and margarita were on point, some others felt very simple. Service staff were very polite and friendly, but perhaps can do better by talking more to people at the bar or introducing more bespoked drinks that they are good at, or giving high spenders a shot or 2 like many other bars worldwide

Cocktail bar in Johor Bahru, what are the odds! Upon stepping in, it gave me more of an elevated karaoke vibe style though and the crowd can also get quite rowdy. Try to avoid the first few pages of drinks and just skip to the pricer ones, where it would really taste like an alcoholic drink instead of just tonic water. The whiskey sour here was good and we cannot get enough of their fish jerky dish. Service was extremely affable.

Cold glass cold drink and damn good cocktail. They lacked their own unique creation but make up with a huge variety of cocktails on the menu. The pork belly was flavourfully marinated with a good charred. The price was alright for a speak easy bar. Overall, would recommend however it's reservation only.

Entry only via prior reservation. Reservations are easy to make, just need to WhatsApp them and they’ll send you a reply with the details that they’ll need. Pricess is hassle free. Overall, the place comes across as really well thought out. From the layout, drinks available, bits of information in the menu and even an option to select a random drink option from a capsule machine if you don’t know what you want to drink. Drink menu is rather extensive. Covering the usual types of cocktails. Nothing too fancy or weird, that you might get at some places these days. Had 3 drinks - 2 cocktails and a double shot of whiskey. Cocktails were good and well made. Only gripe might be that with the size of the glass and the ice cube, there isn’t much room left for the drink itself. But.. the drinks are expensive. (On Average about RM40). Service is top notch - with the staff friendly, polite and attentive. Was my first ‘Speak Easy’ experience in JB and I was pleasantly surprised. Will definately be back. Very beautiful ambience with respectable house rules. Truly a pleasure spending the evening here, chilling with LoFi beats and a good sip from your favourites. Bartenders know their stuff, and are enthusiastic about trying new concoctions, even outside of the menu. The price point is excellent too. If you're looking for a great place to hang, this is it. (It's not on the menu, but they made an exceptional "Missionary's Downfall" for me. It's my all-time favourite drink.)

An inconspicuous door leading to a speakeasy cocktail bar, it's more than just the good drinks and the atmosphere, it's the experience. Starts off with a reservation, and no, you will not be granted entrance without reservation. Then a stair, couple of curtains and voila - the bar. The drinks were lovely! I had The Godfather and I love it! Just be careful in choosing because they do categorise it as fruity, bitter, spirit-forward, etc. So if you're wanting something more boozy, do note that the fruity ones won't be that. A few bar bites were available, we had the grilled pork, it was all right. The added touch on the bathroom is wonderful, they have some sanitary items there that may come in handy (hair tie, napkins, mouthwash for when you had too much to drink) and the devil is really on the detail. So yeah, perfect score!

Came here for cocktails after dinner. Reservation only. Call the bar when you reach the door. They will unlock the door for you. Go up to level 2. Nice pub with japanese vibes. Cocktails were to my liking. Very little finger food available. So have a meal elsewhere before coming here. Dimmed lighting, spacious seats. I could imagine the whole place being extremely noisy when it's full.

Haiiro Usagi (JB) is inconspicuous in the best way possible. Walk-ins are not allowed but if you are lucky enough, you might be allowed entry during off-peak period but you might have a time limit to how long you can occupy the table. The customer experience from the get-go is meant to evoke a sense of exclusivity which the ambience and its alcoholic concoctions most certainly delivered. The surround sound system is excellent and the playlist of lo-fi beats is right up my alley.

Really discrete bar - you can book on the spot so don't fret if you show up without a reservation. Just message them immediately and if there's a spot, they'll open it up for you. Drinks were decently priced and vibes were great

Wonderful bar with great cocktails. I was really impressed to find such a great and high class speak easy. Staff were friendly and happy to discuss cocktails and whip something up off menu. Giving a 5 star for great atmosphere, service and drinks. My only complaint is their vaccine policy requires 3 vaccinations and proof to be shown. I’m not sure who management feels they are protecting as vaccination does not keep Covid from spreading. Seems a little over the top at this stage of things. We were all vaccinated but having to get the documents together was silly to just have a drink when everyone will be unmasked anyway. All in all will be coming back.

Haiiro Usagi, Johor Bahru: Once upon a time lacklustre Johor has a bit of a facelift during covid and a crop of hip secret bars and cafes have been marking their mark. A nondescript door on a grotty street opens up to a staircase up to a sultry speakeasy bar. It’s reservations only and you have to call them to let you in. Talk about exclusive access. Old Fashion is three probably the best in the house. Bar bites are disappointing but you’re really here for the surprise speakeasy bar in Johor - who would have thought? #eatstylishtravelstylish

Truly a hidden bar, would never have guessed there's a gem hidden here. Came around 1030pm on Saturday and there was no queue. Cozy place with nice ambience and comfortable seating. There are seasonal themes and the current one is "Childhood Memories". The cocktails were really innovative and easy to drink! Sides and mains were available as well. Would come back again to try their future themed cocktail menus!

Called up when we arrived. First thing told was basically.. "have you taken your booster shot??" by someone who could hardly speak English. That is NOT a requirement to enter any premises. I wouldn't go back even if i had ten boosters!

Very interesting hidden bar. Drinks were great too. Managed to get the promo for 2 drinks which was a good surprise. Not a heavy drinker but i think the cocktails were great.
