One of the better tasting restaurants in Amman to grab some South Asian (mostly widely known Indian food) food. I dined here in recent months during dinner and lunch. I had different dishes in both meals from their Punjabi samosa, masala dal tadka, Aloo gobi, vegetable dum biryani, chana masala and steamed rice. Food tasted consistently decent and good - bar the samosa which was bland and needed more salt in the fillings. There are some vegetarian and limited vegan options. Staff are quite acknowledgeable about the latter when asked. Price is quite on the mid-high range for Amman’s Indian/South Asian food availability with curry dishes at an average price of 6.50JD+. Menu is QR code. Tandoor Oven has a good dining ambience for gatherings with friends, 1-1, family etc. enough seating for up to 8 people in a table. They have a apron you can use to prevent your clothes from getting stains. Service is quite mixed. I thought initially it was average and alright, and then on another occasion, I found one of the servers was not attentive and not very accommodating, which put me off.

This is the best place to have Indian food in Amman, all the plates we tried were amazing, the staff is very nice and welcoming, and the service is superb. Now on the other hand, the carry plates portions are extremely small compared to the price you are paying, meat or chicken pieces in the plate don’t exceed 5 small pieces.

Today i order first time from them, the packaging of the food was good, food taste also delicious, i order rogan gosht and it was amazing, fully recommend for indo pak taste. Specially i am happy for their Yogurt with cucumber it was awesome, it is fully recommended from my end

This is one of the Indian restaurants in Amman where you get authentic Indian food actually cooked by an Indian Chef. We have eaten once at the restaurant but ordered through Talabat over half a dozen times and we have no complaints. We are fussy eating Indian food outside as it sometimes is designed for the local population (I may be wrong) but at Tandoori Oven, its fantastic Indian chow. Despite being the best Indian food I ever had in Amman but I’m going to give it only a 3 . We walked in to the restaurant and the restaurant manager asked me if I had a reservation, and when I said NO , he started to show unwelcoming attitude and as if it was a struggle for him to find us a table . Though, half of the tables were unoccupied during the entire time we spent in there. Very unprofessional and definitely not the right person picked up by the restaurant as he lacks all the basics of what a successful restaurant manager has to offer of hospitality filled with welcoming, respectful and tactful attitude towards customers.

They have the cutest decor, the food is absolutely amazing. I ordered the samosas, butter chicken, galgappi and lamb biryani. Everything was delicious and Ahmad was an absolute pleasure of a server. 10/10 recommend for Indian dining in Amman.

Overall good experience. Bit expensive. For a group of 5 you can expect a bill of 50 JD approx. Daal makhni, roti, soup, Vegetable Biryani and tandoori are good options. Take your time to enjoy food. It takes 30 mins to prepare the food so try to relax. Extremely well mannered staff and good location.

Excellent atmosphere, nice presented tasty food. In Amman, its blessing to have desi food option for subcontinent people. Price is some how upper average level.

The food was actually pretty good here. We ordered dal makhni, rice, chicken achar (very average) and tandoori chicken (BEST item). overall the food was really good as well as the service. I think the manager was the one that took our order and served us and he was very responsive and attentive. ambiance was great too!

The actual food was beautiful. Chef is amazing, deserves a pay rise, however the hospitality and customer service is poor. Manager and staff were stood staring at me & my wife whilst we ate, had to ask for drink repeatedly whilst choking on my food, they were on edge to kick us out due to local curfew, not a pleasant dining experience whatsoever. ADVISE: Train your staff and management of customer service and how to express hospitality to customers. Won’t be going again.

The decoration is nice and cozy. The hygiene is perfect, however the food was average. It lacked taste and spices. I told the waiter I wanted something spicy so he advised the Saag Gosht and said I should get Cucumber Raita to calm the heat. The dish wasn't spicy at all and when I asked for some hot sauce or something spicy he said I should have told him before ordering to add spice in the dish. Didn't feel like arguing him... The staff was friendly but needs training. In any indian restaurant, the first thing the waiter should ask you is the level of heat you want. Expect 20-25jd per person.

Food was decent however the service was terrible. We had to get up and find the waiters countless times to get anything (even a spoon). They were rude, not attentive and not willing to do anything extra then bring the food and sort of clear the table. Would not go back because of this. Chicken tika masala and butter chicken were so tasty, Mango lasi is a traditional Indian drink and it tastes good here. Chicken tandoori was good too.
