Place is quite small, hardly 5 tables. There dosa's are nice, but i didn't like there idlies and Vada... Vada was bit hard from inside and idlies was not at all soft..

Probably the best South-Indian restaurant in town. Although the price is a bit on the higher side, but still it is worth it. The Masala Dosa is awesome here as well as the other dishes. It is located in the heart of the town. Over the years it has gained a loyal customer base. If you are in Jorhat, we have to give it a try.

Today I went to little south there we eat idli but the chutney was too bitter when we complained they was arguing with us and then we packed a masala dosa when we opened the package and we tasted the chutney it was also bitter.

Ordered cheese butter dosa , neither there is cheese nor dosa ,plus packed only sambar no coconut chatni also. Maybe the guy came to know that I am not from around so treating me as an one time guest.

It’s the best place to have south Indian food in Jorhat , food is good , prices are ok too . Only the uttapam which they sell at 150 isn’t justified. Staff could be better . Owner is nice and friendly lady also the person at the cash is friendly only the people who take the orders could be more attentive and friendly, it would be a great restaurant. Rava dosa is not available for dine in nor for take away. Must try Vada Sambar Kal dosa Rawa dosa ( not available for delivery )

I TRIED A KAL MASALA DOSA WHICH WAS GOOD ENOUGH TASTE WISE. THE PRICE WAS FARE ACCORDING TO THE DOSA BEHAVIOUR OF THE STAFF WAS GOOD. SERVICE TIME IS VERY LESS. THE INTERIOR WAS PRETTY. I MY OPINION YOU SHOULD TRY THIS RESTAURANT ONCE WITH YOUR FAMILY OR FRIENDS.

AC not working. Ordered chesse masala dosa dosa was in pieces . Tey wint have service boys only 2 where there is sitting capacity of more than 25 persons . Food quality was so bad cant explain in words waste of money

The food is delicious and proper hygiene is maintained at the place. You can eat here without burning a hole in your pocket. The service is quick and the staff coordial, the place is usually packed, so you might have to wait a little. But the food is totally worth the waiting.

Dosas are the speciality. Kal Maslaa Dosa and Masala Dosa are my favourite. Also the Paneer Masala Dosa is tasty. Low is spices and authentic to it's roots. But, it would have been better to get the authentic coconut chutney.

Friendly staff. They take request of making food without onion and garlic which is good for some people with such choices. Fast service and delicious food... Masala Dosa is highly recommended.

Best south Indian restaurant in the town. Must visit if you want to try authentic south Indian dishes. Hygienic and good ambience.

An authentic South Indian taste in every South Indian item, would strongly recommend to all if one wishes to hve a pure South Indian flavour dishes. Keep it up and all the best.

No doubt you will get the best dosas here but the service could have been improved. Waiters need to be trained a bit to get the orders correctly and on time. No water or glasses were served during my visit. Closing time was also too early, as it was only 9 PM and they were about to close, while I was sitting and having my meal, the waiters were cleaning and putting the chairs on the table which I didn't feel good.

Famous for South Indian cuisine in Jorhat. But I didn't have a good experience there. The dosa was too salty so couldn't enjoy it yet the sambar and chutney was delicious. The ambiance is good.

They are unable to maintain their previous taste & quality. Their dosa quality is degrading day by day. Nowadays, sometimes they overcooked the dosa, sometimes they make it more salty etc. Previously they are known for their tasty and crispy Dosas and cheese butter masala dosa of little south is too much delicious, but now you need to find cheese in this same dosa. Hope they will bring back their actual quality.🤞

I ordered butter masala dosa. It was good and services are good as well, fast and clean. Recommend to have a South India dish in this little place in Jorhat.

Perfect place in the town for South Indian dishes. Value for money service and food. Only South Indian dishes and beverages like coffee are available here. Except Vada, this place offers different varieties of dosas & idlis with sambhar and truly yummy and authentic coconut chutney. Uttappam is also served here. The most common order and a favourite of almost all customers is the masala dosa here. Prices are not sky-high. Very affordable. Me and a friend visited the place for lunch. We ate heartily abd enjoyed the greatly satisfying dishes. We had coffee at the end. We also bought one 500 ml bottled water there. Our total bill was only ₹470; very economical as compared to how fulfilling the experience was.

Nice ambience. Well maintained. I am basically from Maharashtra so the south Indian food that I get there is somewhat different from here. It has been adapted as per the tate buds of Assamese folks. Hence I was expecting a little less spicy and sweetish taste.But to my surprise it was really good. Not like the one We get at my native place but the food was really good. For south Indian Cuisines I strongly recommend The Little South. Keep it up guys. 👍

Best south INDIAN food in all of Jorhat. Ordered masala Idli, which has become my favourite. Such authentic taste. And I was amazed that you had to queue to get a table on Sunday evenings! The food was worth the wait.

Truly South Indian!!! The South Indian lady who owns the place, herself prepares the sambar and chutney masalas. Above all, a kind hearted soul. The waiters in the restaurant could do a better job. Try authentic and delicious Podi Idlis, Uttappams, Rava Dosas !!! A "little Heaven in Jorhat".👌😊

Attraction is large sized dosa. There are different varieties of dosas available. Neat and clean place and the workers behave properly. Although the man at the billing section shows uncanny behaviour during payment so that not a single penny is misplaced.

Great ambiance of the restaurant is one of the best attraction is the south Indian Food. the staff is very polite and courteous and serve amazing food. The restaurant has everything in place and serve adequately. A must recommended place to visit.

Food of the restaurant is good and since I like South Indian food so I am a regular customer of this place but only problem is they have very less number of staff member.Since the restaurant is always found full most of the time so its difficult to get refills and for water also we have to call them again and again , what I felt bad in my today’s visit that even though the tables were empty the two staff person(1lady and1men)was shouting so rudely to us to make us shift to another table.We didn’t have any problem in sharing our table and today also we shared the table with another family but the staffs behaved very rudely since I am not well I wanted to sit comfortably in a place where I usually use to sit during my visit in this restaurant. I am disappointed and wish not to face this kind of behaviour.
