Was driving through Jorhat and started craving for ethnic cuisine. Googled it and found Chouka eye catchy among others. Went to this place and we weren't disappointed. The service was quick, the chicken thalis which we ordered were served within 5 minutes. The staff were gentle and helpful. The food was freshly cooked and did taste good. Considering the amount served, the prices are reasonable too. The ambience is nice, clean and bright. The only downside was the limited to no parking facility. I had to park somewhere else and walk down the lane to Chouka.

Whatta treat, although you have to spend for that. We got ourselves treated with pigeon, duck and port dishes, and plain daal to balance it. The mesmerising Chicken liver & gizzard just melted for our warm mouthwatering emblem. The smokepork is the showstopper yet. Definitely a value for money, the restaurant is well maintained, cleaned washroom and overall magnificent service team.

I have visited this place in June 2022. Must say the food is very delicious. The service of the staff was also very friendly. If you are a food lover and fan of ethnic food then you must visit this place. There are many local food items are added in the menu. We have tried the pork thali and local duck curry along with small fish pitika.... It was really awesome. 👍 Must try I say. The payash was make of black rice which was very tasty too.

The ambience of this place is magnetic. In comparison to other places this restaurant is small but serves very delicious mouth watering food. The main highlight of Chouka is their thalis which includes pork thali, chicken thali and fish thali. Along with other conventional items like laai haak, potato fries, good quality rice, two to three types of daals etc etc. Along with conventional thalis they also serves Northern meat and fish dishes. The restaurant is busy most of the time specifically in the lunch time. The ambience of the staff are very polite and good, they look forward to help you in every situation. The perfect place for an authentic and fully satisfying Assamese meal..every item is made so uniquely and they are delicious..The sesame chicken, and goroi maas or pitika ,baah gaaj or manxo,duck fry are some of the dishes you must definitely try out here as they serve the best in case of both quality and quantity.Not to forget they also serve black rice pudding that is so satisfying.

It was a nice experience enjoying the evening at the restaurant. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, Perfect for family, #awesome food. Varieties available from fish chicken, pork to paneer.

First thing the food here is excellent. Loved the taste and service. Nice interior. Plenty of space. Large groups can also seat. Very much recommended. The price is also responsible considering the quality and quantity is great.

Very nice bamboo interior design. The food was amazing. I had pork thali which was very good I should say. I would have given a five star rating but I won't because out of almost 8 pieces of pork only one was flesh/meat, the rest were fats.( I had to settle with the only meat piece and two fat pieces lol. The rest WASTED) I'll definitely visit again when I come to Jorhat and try out other dishes.

Best Place for Pork lovers especially. No Chinese Items are available only Pork Fish and Chicken special Dishes are available. Overall good place for eating with friends or family.

Impressive thali. They quality veg thali, and in non-vegetarian an extension of that thali with 3 additional dishes based on Chicken, Fish or Pork thali. I have had the pork thali here, where I got smoked pork, pork curry and pork in sesame seeds in thali. The sesame seeds masala was a bit too strong and thus, couldn't be handled as masala with rice etc, though pork in it was good.

Best budget Assamese thali in Jorhat! I can't believe it was only ₹110. The service was great, they weren't shy filling up our plates with every single item in the thali when we asked for seconds. The quality was great too. This is going to be a permanent pit stop while passing by Jorhat for sure. Apparently it's busy all the time, but I'm sure I'll gladly wait for this thali! Also, the cleanest public washroom ever! I was sceptical when I saw that they had a common washroom, but they are clearly on top of their game :) They even keep a help to clean the washroom after every person uses it. No UTI for you ladies! Highly recommended ⭐

Veg Thali is very good. But Chicken curry was worst. Good thing is Local Bahu fish available here.and very tasty.

Assamese delicacy at the heart of Jorhat town, located at Mithapukhuri. Absolutely loved the Assamese Thali & Duck fry.

The place isn't what it used to be. The food was a disappointment. The chicken was undercooked and the gravy was diluted 🥲. But they are quick on their feet and the service is good tho despite of the food quality.

A good place for Assamese traditional food. They serve all kinds of traditional items. This place is good for family get together dinner. One can dine-in, take away and take delivery too from this restaurant. But when you go there please look for parking space. As they have a space for 2-3 vehicles parking.
