Nice staff and beautiful new building. A little bit outside of the city center, that makes it more quiet. The kitchen is great, especially for a hostel. Only odd thing is that the dorms are the typical family rooms with a bunk bed and a double bed. In our case it was OK because I don't have a problem to sleep with my friend in one bed. Might get uncomfortable if you have to sleep with a stranger in one bed.

I had a room just for myself: not too big with a very clean bathroom. The breakfast is sufficient. The cafe-like space downstairs is cozy and pretty informal. Personel is friendly so: for me everything was okay.

Neu eröffnetes Hotel etwas abseits vom Trubel. Absolut empfehlenswert! Die öffentlichen Bereiche sind sehr schön gestaltet mit großen Fenstern. Das Personal ist super lieb und hilfsbereit. Man ist in etwa 20 min mit der Bahn am Dom.

The reception desk was very nice. We complained about cold rooms, where we got breakfast for free. I think it was a very nice gesture. However, the issue with cold rooms should be solved. The staff was very young, helpful and nice, I liked it. Wish you all the best.

Always a great experience staying at Meininger! One of the best hostel i have ever stayed at (i stayed at the one in Milan as well). The rooms are always clean, the staff are friendly, and the common spaces are well maintained. Very recommended!

Brand new, modern and beautifully furnished hostel for super great value! Dorm rooms were spacious, air-conditioned and comfortable. Private bathrooms were clean and well-equipped (although the sink in the corridor is a bit random). There is a bar in the common area as well as a shared kitchen. The location is in a business park outside of the main centre, so there aren't too many restaurants or shops nearby, but it is a 10 minute walk to the S-Bahn or tram.

Far from downtown, was gonna get 4 stars but on the last night the water heater went off. Had a mild water shower. Tainted the stay. Great staff though.

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht. Ich hatte eine Frage bzgl. dem Pricing, da dasselbe Zimmer zum selben Zeitraum im November nun ca 160 Euro günstiger ist, obwohl uns vor der Buchung im Sept. mitgeteilt wurde, dass nur noch 2 Zimmer verfügbar sind. Bei Nachfrage am Telefon wurde ich unmöglich behandelt. Die Dame, die sich unter der Kontaktnummer 0221 98209980 meldete, sagte mir zunächst, ich hätte die Reservierung nicht bei Meininger gemacht, was nicht stimmt. Ich habe ihr die Reservierungsnummer 5 mal richtig vorgelesen und dann wurde mir gesagt, ich hätte einen Fehler gemacht, obwohl sich am Ende rausstellte, dass ich doch die richtige Nummer hatte. Außerdem war der Ton unglaublich genervt und unfreundlich. Darüber hinaus ist die Dame laut geworden und hat mich nie aussprechen lassen. Aus Hospitality-Sicht ist das kein angemessenes Beschwerdemanagement. Ich muss mich am Telefon nicht anzicken lassen, ich erwarte, dass man mir zuhört und meine Probleme ernst nimmt. Am Ende musste ich einfach auflegen. Wenn das der telefonische Umgang mit Kunden ist, graut es mir davor, wie es vor Ort wird. Das Vertrauen in das Hotel ist verloren und man reist mit einem bitteren Beigeschmack an.

Fast Alles top. Zimmer waren sehr schön und modern. Personal konnte auch bei spezifischen Fragen weiter helfen. Einzige Manko ist, dass das Hotel etwas ab vom Schuss ist

Rooms were clean and decently furnished. Staff's pretty nice. It's a little far from the city center, but manageable by tram.

Absolutely amazing hotel! Definitely will recommend to every one! Lovely, friendly staff, all facilities amazing, you can cook on you own in perfectly completed kitchen, also very good bar, and breakfast. Rooms are clean and nice very much! Thank you all. I will came back for sure
