I
had
planned
to
test
Abacco's
for
a
while,
because
as
a
fan
of
good
meat
you
should
be
happy
all
around.
I
also
found
the
pictures
on
the
Internet
very
promising.
Once
there,
the
first
impression
was
a
bit
mixed.
The
restaurant
is
really
huge.
The
decor
is
probably
tasteful.
Unfortunately,
the
whole
thing
has
the
flair
of
an
airport
terminal.
It
didn't
look
cozy.
At
the
moment,
the
toilets
look
more
like
a
construction
site
than
really
accessible.
At
first
it
was
a
little
difficult
to
find
an
employee
who
would
assign
us
a
table.
At
some
point
a
young
lady
took
care
of
us.
We
sat
down
and
got
the
card.
Ordering
our
US
beef
ribeye
steaks
was
then
very
clumsy,
as
the
clerk
obviously
had
a
hard
time
struggling
with
the
terminal.
Too
much
junk
for
such
a
small
order.
The
meat
came
before
the
cutlery.
When
I
was
with
me,
the
sauces
were
missing,
which
we
didn't
care.
Instead
of
delivering
independently,
we
were
asked
whether
one
portion
was
enough.
Instead
there
was
one
herb
butter
too
much,
which
we
complained
directly.
The
clerk
looked
torn
and
didn't
want
to
clear
away
the
excess
butter
or
leave
it
there
without
comment.
In
the
end
she
stopped.
I
pointed
out
to
my
companion
that
I
would
make
a
bet
that
the
butter
would
even
be
charged
in
the
end.
But
slowly.
The
meat
comes
on
hot
stones,
which
is
a
good
idea
for
our
ribeyes.
So
I
could
decide
on
the
perfect
degree
of
cooking
myself.
The
gentleman
at
the
next
table,
whose
rump
steak
was
twice
as
high
as
it
was
wide,
only
shrugged
his
shoulders
and
the
hint
that
he
could
order
another
stone,
which
would
then
be
hot
again,
when
he
objected
to
how
he
should
bring
it
to
the
right
cooking
point
.
The
spectacle
at
the
next
table
was
also
interesting,
where
the
waiter
was
able
to
explain
exactly
what
the
lactose
content
of
the
sauces
was
like,
but
then
served
the
horseradish
sauce
to
the
lactose-intolerant,
who
then
tried
it.
God
forbid
if
the
boys
here
have
an
allergy.
Well,
my
steak
was
great
and
the
main
reason
for
the
3
stars.
Good,
high
quality
US
beef.
And
indeed,
in
Abaccos
you
can
reorder
both
the
side
dishes
and
the
hot
platters
without
limit
...
it
would
be
smart
if
an
employee
had
been
there
to
take
this
order.
With
us
nobody
could
be
seen
until
everything
was
eaten
almost
completely.
Now
you
would
think
the
staff
were
too
busy.
With
none.
It
was
4
p.m.
in
the
afternoon
and
the
shop
was
mostly
empty.
There
were
enough
employees
there,
but
they
weren't
with
us.
In
any
case,
the
man
at
the
next
table
was
so
brisk
as
to
summon
a
waiter
loudly
to
order
some
french
fries.
But
they
were
still
not
there
15
minutes
later.
On
complaint
about
the
meat
of
the
gentleman
now
well
done,
there
were
french
fries
within
a
minute
and
said
shrug
again.
At
the
end,
instead
of
the
requested
hospitality
receipt,
we
got
the
terminal
with
the
final
price.
We
asked
about
the
herb
butter
and
the
nice
employee
rowed,
but
said
she
hadn't
charged
for
the
butter.
After
the
hospitality
receipt,
we
had
to
ask
again
and
the
employee
gave
the
impression
that
she
was
not
quite
voluntary.
A
little
later
she
came
and
noted
before
handing
over
that
she
had
calculated
the
herb
butter
after
all.
We
had
the
€
2.90
paid
out
again.
On
principle,
of
course.
She
may
keep
the
tip
that
decency
dictates.
Otherwise
it
was
quite
nice.
Well,
we
won't
be
back.
Too
bad.
Shows
again
how
important
it
is
that
quality,
ambience
and
service
are
intertwined.
Here
the
product
is
good
and
the
ambience
is
good,
if
you
like
it.
But
I
have
seldom
seen
such
unprofessional
service
in
a
restaurant
and
not
just
at
our
table.
(Original)
Hatte
ich
mir
nun
schon
eine
Weile
vorgenommen
Abacco's
zu
testen,
denn
als
Fan
guten
Fleisches
soll
man
da
ja
rund
um
glücklich
werden.
Die
Bilder
im
Internet
fand
ich
auch
vielversprechend.
Dort
angekommen
war
der
Ersteindruck
etwas
gemischt.
Das
Restaurant
ist
wirklich
riesig.
Die
Einrichtung
ist
wohl
geschmackvoll.
Leider
hat
das
Ganze
etwas
das
Flair
eines
Flughafen
Terminals.
Gemütlich
wirkte
das
nicht.
Die
Toiletten
wirken
zur
Zeit
mehr
wie
Baustelle
als
wie
wirklich
betretbar.
Es
war
erst
etwas
schwierig
einen
Angestellten
zu
finden,
der
uns
einen
Tisch
zuweist.
Irgendwann
kümmerte
sich
dann
eine
junge
Damen
um
uns.
Wir
nahmen
Platz
und
bekamen
die
Karte.
Die
Bestellung
unserer
US
Beef
Ribeye
Steaks
war
dann
sehr
hakelig,
da
die
Angestellte
offensichtlich
schwer
mit
dem
Terminal
zu
kämpfen
hatte.
Zu
viel
Gerödel
für
eine
derart
kleine
Bestellung.
Das
Fleisch
kam
noch
vor
dem
Besteck.
Bei
meiner
Begleitung
fehlten
die
Saucen,
was
uns
recht
egal
war.
Statt
selbständig
nachzuliefern
fragte
man
uns
ob
die
eine
Portion
reicht.
Stattdessen
kam
eine
Kräuterbutter
zu
viel,
was
wir
direkt
reklamierten.
Die
Angestellte
wirkte
zerrissen
und
wollte
die
zuviel
gebrachte
Butter
weder
abräumen
noch
sie
kommentarlos
da
lassen.
Am
Ende
blieb
sie
stehen.
Ich
wies
meine
Begleitung
noch
darauf
hin,
dass
ich
wetten
Abschließen
würde,
dass
die
Butter
am
Ende
sogar
berechnet
wird.
Aber
langsam.
Das
Fleisch
kommt
auf
heißen
Steinen,
was
für
unsere
Ribeyes
eine
gute
Idee
ist.
So
konnte
ich
mich
selber
für
den
perfekten
Gargrad
entscheiden.
Der
Herr
am
Nebentisch,
dessen
Rumpsteak
doppelt
so
hoch
wie
breit
war
bekam
auf
seinen
Einwand,
wie
er
das
denn
nun
gescheit
auf
den
richtigen
Garpunkt
bringen
sollte,
nur
ein
Schulterzucken
und
den
Hinweis
er
könne
ja
einen
weiteren
Stein
nachordern,
der
dann
wieder
heiß
ist.
Interessant
dann
auch
das
Schauspiel
am
Nebentisch,
bei
dem
der
Kellner
zwar
genauestens
darüber
aufklären
konnte,
wie
es
um
den
Laktosegehalt
der
Saucen
bestellt
ist,
die
Meerrettich
Sauce
dann
aber
dennoch
dem
Laktoseunverträglichen
auftischt,
der
sie
dann
auch
probiert.
Gott
behüte,
wenn
die
Jungs
hier
mal
nen
Allergiker
haben.
Naja,
mein
Steak
war
jedenfalls
prima
und
der
Hauptgrund
für
die
3
Sterne.
Gutes,
hochwertiges
US
Beef.
Und
tatsächlich,
im
Abaccos
kann
man
sowohl
die
Side
Dishes
als
auch
die
heißen
Platten
unbegrenzt
nachbestellen....wäre
Pfiffig,
wenn
denn
ein
Angestellter
da
gewesen
wäre
um
diese
Bestellung
entgegen
zu
nehmen.
Bei
uns
lies
sich
keiner
mehr
sehen,
bis
alles
ratzekahl
aufgegessen
war.
Jetzt
könnte
man
meinen,
die
Angestellten
hätten
zu
viel
zu
tun.
Mit
nichten.
Es
war
16
Uhr
am
Nachmittag
und
der
Laden
war
größtenteils
leer.
Es
waren
auch
genug
Mitarbeiter
da,
die
waren
aber
nicht
bei
uns.
Der
Mann
am
Nebentisch
war
jedenfalls
so
forsch
sich
einen
Kellner
lautstark
herbei
zu
zitieren
um
dort
eine
Pommes
nachzubestellen.
Die
waren
aber
15
Minuten
später
immer
noch
nicht
da.
Auf
Reklamation
aufgrund
des
mittlerweile
durchgebratenen
Fleisches
des
Herren
gabs
innerhalb
von
einer
Minute
Pommes
und
wieder
besagtes
Schulterzucken.
Am
Schluss
bekamen
wir
dann
statt
des
geforderten
Bewirtungsbeleges
das
Terminal
mit
dem
Endpreis
hingehalten.
Wir
fragten
nach
der
Kräuterbutter
und
die
nette
Angestellte
ruderte,
gab
aber
an
die
Butter
nicht
berechnet
zu
haben.
Nach
dem
Bewirtungsbeleg
mussten
wir
dann
nochmal
fragen
und
die
Angestellte
machte
den
Eindruck
den
nicht
ganz
freiwillig
zu
bringen.
Etwas
später
kam
sie
dann
und
merkte
vor
der
Übergabe
an,
die
Kräuterbutter
doch
berechnet
zu
haben.
Wir
ließen
uns
die
2,90€
wieder
auszahlen.
Natürlich
aus
Prinzip.
Das
Trinkgeld,
welches
der
Anstand
gebietet
darf
sie
behalten.
War
ja
sonst
ganz
nett.
Tja,
wir
kommen
nicht
wieder.
Schade.
Zeigt
wieder
wie
wichtig
es
ist,
dass
Qualität,
Ambiente
und
Service
ineinander
greifen.
Hier
ist
das
Produkt
gut
und
Dass
Ambiente
gut,
wenn
man
es
mag.
Aber
ich
habe
selten
in
einem
Restaurant
so
unprofessionellen
Service
gesehen
und
nicht
nur
an
unserem
Tisch.
