Beautiful spot but very rocky. It seemed like a place to sit and look but not actually get in the water.

This beach offers a very calm and shallow sandy area as well as a rough high wave rocky area. Snorkeling opportunities here are great. Tons of fish and sea slugs to view in the shallow areas. Waves can get very high and rough the further out you go so take caution when exploring outwards.

There are a couple dimensions to this area which sets it apart from some other beach parks. A nice sandy beach area as well as a more rocky area with some interesting tide pools and crashing waves. There's even a "hissing rock" we found that sounds like it could be a hollowed lava tube where waves crash within and the acoustics are very unique.

Pretty nice beach with some sand. There are a few spots that are safe to swim. Beautiful spot though. There are bathroom’s available and plenty of parking. Real close to the airport if you have some time to kill before flight

Beautiful location, perfect sand, not many people. It was perfect. We saw two rainbows and had a great time enjoying the view. I would def return. This location you can see orbs in your photos. We visited this place twice. We saw back crabs, tons of algae, lots of great places to soak your feet and it’s a great place to swim. We saw a local dive into the water.

It's absolutely stunning watching the waves hit the rocky side! You can also dip your toes in the water bassins created by the splashes, it's beautiful clear water 🤗 There's also public bathrooms with a free outdoor shower which is very practical

Very close to the airport. This is a great place to kill some time before a flight. No sand but a lot of cool tide pools and a little blowhole. Bathrooms were closed but there were some port-a-potties. There's also an abalone farm nearby.

Wawaloli Beach Park is near the Kona airport. The view of the lava rocks and wave’s splashing on them is fascinating. Water shoes are recommended to walk on the lava shelves. Vhuntermassage LLC

Great place to relax or if you have time to kill before your flight. There are a few tables around to work or have a meal. You can also watch the flights coming in while they fly over

Stopped by briefly on a whim. Did not disappoint. Tons of lava rock to climb on and waves crashing. Black crabs everywhere. Fun and free

Absolutely beautiful! We explored the lava rocks, saw tiny crabs, sea urchins and watched the sunset. Definitely worth the stop.

nice place to have your meal before boarding your flight and maybe snap a few more pictures. many shaded picnic tables. broken main toilet at time of visit (late may 2023) so porta potties only. good picture taking spot with both volcanic features and ocean. buy a bento box at the cafe or market nearby

This is another nice beach park that is more lava rocks than anything. If you enjoy going out and climbing on them to see the water, then you will probably like this place.

Awesome place to watch the waves, and if you’re here at the right time of year… whales. The surf can be a little aggressive, do watch the kiddos if they are playing on the rocks.

Beautiful small beach to watch the sunset. Right next to the airport. We went twice during our week here and both times were not very busy at all. Parking is super close to the beach/tide pool area. Bring sandals or water shoes to wade in, sea urchins and lava rock are everywhere!

Located close to the Kona Airport. Easy assess and plenty of parking. Great place to watch waves crash onto the rocks, stroll along small beach or catch a sunset. We were lucky enough to see several Whales while we were there as well. Unfortunately the bathrooms were closed during our visit but outhouses were available.

Awesome place to visit before your return to the main land... A cpl small sandy tide pools to splash in even though surrounded by the Kona coasts rocky sea side...
