Do your kids love trains? Then this is the place to be! Our son (2yrs old) absolutely loved the Railway Museum! There is a big model train running at all times in the center of the space, an additional set that kids can control, and then some smaller, Brio style trains/tracks for the younger ones to play with. We had a great time visiting, and there is plenty for the parents as well (lots of history and information). Definitely would recommend checking this place out, we had a great time!

I would call it the Bellingham Model Railway museum, you won't see actual trains here. But there are good photos and artifacts. The model trains are excellent.

I have always loved Railroads and all things related. They have a very nice setup and wonderful historic photos and explanations all around on the walls and displays. Love seeing the kids (and us older ones) excited about what is running, hearing about the local history and even getting to run a train. Be SURE to check out and buy the Railroad History walking guide from them. It is well worth the modest price. I learned a lot about this town from it and love sharing the knowledge with visitors of mine. Wonderful photos and descriptions in the guide.

It is a fabulous place for kids who love trains. It has a giant G scale display with multiple trains that you can run. It has an O scale that younger kids under 7 can run, and many Thomas and other wooden toy trains for the really young. Parents bring a book. ;-) Although I personally liked looking at all the paraphernalia.

This is a museum of hand held trains. They have some cool old locks , and train memorabilia plus a main train track with cool scenes. Great place to take your little one for a little bit.

Fun downtown Bellingham spot for the family. Lots of history and entertainment crammed into a small, accessible space. Great for kids ages 1 to 8, who will want to keep coming back.

Fun place to take the kids. Especially if they are obsessed with trains like most small kids are. It's really just a large room with a great model train setup and some toys. So don't go expecting Disneyland.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The best farmers market in the North end, in my opinion. Great selection of vendors from all corners of the county, and local Western WA region. There is something for everyone, from produce, pottery, baked goods, meats, apparel, soaps, handcrafted goods, etc. Don’t miss out on the warm Bavarian pre...
