We had an amazing experience! With 3 kids. And 5 vegetarians in our group of 6. They have a whole plant based menu in addition to the regular meat one. We had to manage nut allergies. And an egg allergy. And it was AMA-ZING. Far better than I dared to even hope. My kids loved it. The adults in my group loved it. We got dressed up, put on leis and declared it our early Thanksgiving dinner. It wasn't just enjoyable food and a beautiful view - it was the whole experience. Our server Eric was fantastic. He worked hard, above and beyond, to help manage the allergies to keep my kids safe. He knew the menu inside and out, to every detail. He helped coach my 11 year old through being a big kid who gets the adult menu. He helped my 9 year old who was drawing pictures of fish in his sketchpad to entertain himself during the long dinner, and he was so kind to my 8 year old whose allergies are most severe. Paulette at the host desk was able to move our reservation from 8:30 (the only time I could get it 30 days out!) to a perfect 6 p.m. so we could watch the sunset. The photo does not do it justice - a quick phone snap of the gorgeous view!

Probably some of the worst service I think I’ve ever had in the United States. Forgot a meal and brushed it off like it was nothing even after we complained and the server was generally incompetent. Not what you’d expect from a Disney Restaurant especially not at these prices. Would never ever come back here.

I'm giving 5 stars because of the excellent service!! So having No Reservations we got an excellent tables with a view and no wait..also we have to mention our waitress Brittany went above and beyond. Gave plenty of time to decide and even made a better suggestion when it came to our choice of wine and was full of endless surprises I also have changed my main entre to two lobsters and it was a perfect choice cuz it was one of the best lobsters I've ever tasted!! She also cater to us when we made an adjustment to our salads! This izy what really made it worth it. The extra special touches and just overall excellent service!! Brittany also gave me such a nice surprise for my birthday.... so unexpected!! I hadn't had a cake and wasn't able to celebrate with my family. So it was a birthday with Disney I'll never forget!! Made me feel younger on my birthday... Cannot get any better!! Much Aloha at Disney Aulani.

Such a wonderful new experience at Aulani. We had the opportunity to dine at AMA AMA on their first night of reopening and wow! The 4 course meal and wine pairing was stunning and really was much more enjoyable experience than the old dining options. The restaurant is beautiful re-decorated and every touch is careful if thought out. The team went above and beyond to service us —- can’t wait to dine back!

I had an absolutely stunning meal at Ama Ama. One of the best and most memorable of my life. The food was out of this world delicious, the service was above and beyond on every level, and the views were so gorgeous that I MAY have teared up. Maybe. Who could say for sure (I did.) My family and I came to Aulani for the day to visit and have dinner at Ama Ama for my birthday and it was probably the best decision I have ever made. We got a seat right by the window which allowed us unparalleled views of the sun setting over the Pacific. Every single item we ordered was mouthwateringingly tasty. Corn soup, pasta, fish, beef, dessert...all of it was outstanding. Rest assured that no matter what you choose it will be amazing. Our waitress was so wonderful and when she found out it was my birthday she brought me over a special dessert and pin to commemorate the occasion. She made an already lovely dinner better. I HIGHLY recommend eating here, you won't regret it. In fact it might be one of the best meals of your life.

Waiter was awesome but noticed he really liked to talk A LOT not only to us but everyone, view was awesome, but took about 3hrs to finish our experience. Good thing we didn’t have anywhere to be. Portions are really small, and very limited. One waitress made it a point when she brought my wife’s plate over, the waitress had to say all the things she didn’t like about my wife’s dish. Really discouraging. Ravioli was not very good kinda blah but the lobster was. The dessert was the best part. Tartare was good. I wouldn’t come here again. You can get way better food elsewhere for a lot less. Note: if for some reason you do eat here, valet is your best bet, and validate your ticket. Just don’t tip less then $10… your welcome

This is the "expensive" restaurant at the Aulani Resort and Spa! You have a Gorgeous view of the lagoon, and it's open air and no air conditioning, but still cool and comfortable. The food prices are a bit pricy, but the quality and taste is great. Even the portion sizes are ample! Here's a few photos of our breakfast!

We’ve eaten here a few times, and the menu used to be a la carte. Now it’s gone Uber fru fru with a set course menu. That’s all fine, but it makes it difficult to eat what we want. We prefer the a la carte style. Work is divided into a captain, waiter, busperson set up. The meal was a bit tense at times because our waiter was leaning over our table getting too close to our food. He was breathing, spitting, and sweating way too close for comfort. Another issue was forgetting a drink we had requested to be timed with the arrival of a dish. When we tried to notify the staff, they were chatting and not paying attention. Then, that late glass of wine was charged at the full bottle opening price, even though that wine was part of the regular wine pairing menu. They’re shooting for a professional experience, but there’s a long way to go yet.

We spend our anniversary dinner here every year, but have been gone for 4 years. pleasantly surprised to see a new menu, remodeled open area, and to see our ohana Ashton again! Dinner was EXCEPTIONAL, the view overlooking the lagoon was perfect. See you next year Ashton and Ama Ama

We are here last week and the food was good. The views at sunset are amazing and the wait staff was exceptional. I read that they used to do an a la carte menu and I think that would be better. I usually like to try multiple appetizers at a place like this. Overall, the food and wine pairing was on point and very good. This may have been the only place I wish I had not gone with the local catch plate, only because it was good but nothing special. The smoked fish appetizer was probably my favorite thing out of what anyone had at the table. The octopus risotto was excellent and perfectly cooked. I would have almost eaten every appetizer and starter and skipped the main course.

Incredible meal this evening - one of the highlights of our trip to Hawaii. The customer service was exceptional. We have been to many high end restaurants and very few are as attentive, friendly and welcoming as the team of cast members in Ama Ama. The setting is beautiful, looking out to panoramic views of the lagoon. Highly recommend booking an earlier 5pm meal as you get to enjoy the sunset in the background. Nothing was too much trouble - service was very smooth between courses, drinks constantly topped up and most importantly to us, was how friendly and welcoming the cast members were. Kapua had amazing energy and was so nice to chat to sharing stories! Ashton was so kind too and everyone really made us feel like we were the only table there. Trevor was super enthusiastic taking photos for us and the rest of the team were faultless. Ears off (it is Disney after all) to the team of chefs behind the scenes. The food was incredible, one of, if not, the best meals we’ve ever had (including some which have been far more expensive). Even down to the freshly baked bread, amuse bouche and the finer details such as the intricate presentation. It was an experience and worth every cent! The environment is calm, relaxing and not too formal.

Long overdue Review for 'Ama'Ama! 'Ama'Ama - To me it's one of the best fine dinning out all of Disney resorts! My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary here back in November, and it was beyond our expectation as it was recently opened. Food: The food was amazing for a tasting menu. I'm glad we were able to do the tasting menu because everything that we had was amazing! Service: The service from check-in in with the front to our service throughout the dinner was spectacular! The staff members here take their time and have conversations with you, which was amazing. Getting to know the back story of 'Ama'Ama and some of them even gave us recommendations for things to do around the island. View: We had an amazing view, facing out to the Lagoon into the ocean, it was breath taking during sunset. It may seem expensive, it is worth the experience you're going to get. Overall my husband and I had an amazing time here at 'Ama'Ama and we would definitely come back!

Top fine dining experience in Disney Aulani. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing (they have 18 unique wines selected for each dish option of the menu) and didn't regret it. On top of great food, wine and service, our dinner was accompanied by stunning sunset views and great live music.

It's not cheap, but it is delicious! The food is plated beautifully, and despite the smaller portions it left us very satisfied. The service was amazing. Very attentive staff who were happy to help with any request. To top it off the view of the beach sunset from our dining table was beautiful.

A memorable meal, with probably the best sunset on Oahu to cement the culmination of a beautiful vacation.

Ama Ama takes you on a culinary journey for sure. This is perfect for a date night but not for kids who might be the tad pickiest. Aulani only has two restaurants requiring reservations. Given we are here over the holiday I went and booked without really looking. Disney is for kids, right? Not this one. We are used to Disney World where you can always find kid friendly options. For 55 dollars per kid and limited options, I was disappointed. What made it worse was when I asked if there was an ability to make any exceptions I was told they had done enough for us and would require asking a manager. On my end, I should have done more research. As a Disney resort, maybe be more flexible like at other Disney properties. It is what I have come to expect paying the Disney premium for vacation. A $500 plus dinner for 5 where one kid didn’t eat was disappointing.

Ama Ama is an unforgettable experience. We ate here several years ago when they had the steamed fish that was reminiscent of lau lau. It was hands down the best steamed fish either of us had ever eaten. We were hoping to have the dish again but they changed their menu to a four course dinner. We decided to go for it and it was the best decision! Heather was our server and Kula assisted her. They were fantastic. Exceptional customer service. We started with the mango and honey signature cocktails. They were awesome. We both chose the smoked fish for our first course. It was excellent. 2nd choice was the poke and octopus with risotto. Both were great. We both chose the island fish for our main dish. It was perfect! We had the citrus and chocolate desserts. Everything was super delicious. The ambiance is calm, romantic, and quiet. Highly recommend. We will definitely return.

The 'Ama 'Ama Restaurant is one of my favorite places on earth. After checking in at The Aulani, the 'Ama 'Ama is our first stop while we're waiting for our room to be ready. First, the service has always been great. They've always treated us like family - 'ohana). Second, the view of the lagoon is just beautiful. Don't be surprised when you feel compelled to stand-up to snap that Kodak-moment, preserving the panoramic view. Third, no matter whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is so tastey that it has us returning frequently. Tip: If they're offering scallops on the dinner menu (and you're not allergic to seafood), treat yourself to it. The 'Ama 'Ama scallops dinner I had on my last visit was easily one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. Thank me later. Possibly mentioning the obvious here, but the meals are pricey morning, noon, and night. But, I'm cutting them some slack because, afterall, it's a premium-placed restaurant within a premium quality resort. I cannot wait to return to the 'Ama 'Ama Restaurant. Aloha!

Great view of the ocean with awesome tasting food. The portion sizes are great where you will not leave hungry. The deserts are only alright... May be better to get coffee or a desert elsewhere.

Given the fact, that this is a restaurant located in a 400$ per night Disney Resort, I have to criticize two things: the food was not bad, but just okay, and not living up to the expectations (and the prices). Second thing is, this is a Disney Resort, they offered nothing for our little daughter to shorten the wait - we got crayons and paper to draw on in much cheaper places, but not in a Disney Resort? Other than that, friendly and attentive but superficial service, the location was comfy and clean.

Beautiful restaurant in paradise. Loved the breakfast here and the atmosphere was relaxed and well themed without being in-your-face Disney. Food was fresh a tasted wonderful. Kids meals were cute though on the smaller side for children in-between the two menu options.

The plant based pasta was AMAZING. The vegan sausage was so well done and the noodles them selves were super flavorful. At first I thought the portion sizes looked a bit small for the price but it was super filling. The services was good. They were pretty attentive and polite.
