Lunch here was absolutely delicious! It’s a really nice local hidden gem. Their smoked meat (pork) was the star of the show, but the fried rice was amazing too. Service is also exceptional—the lady at the front was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Please give this place a shot if you’re in the area!! 💕

Let's start with the staff, the nicest, friendly, helpful staff. Utterly friendly and accommodating, feels like you're at your grandmother's house. Now the food, made to order and was excellent. Well made, flavorful and delicious. Wonderful choices to choose from. Banana lumpia was the bomb. Definitely a must try for local food in the area. Great people great food, what more could you ask for more.

Wow! Absolutely amazing food. The smoked meat was delicious. My wife got the boneless Korean fried chicken and it was unreal. I am running out of adjectives to describe the food, it was that good. Also the staff gave us great service and were so welcoming and friendly. Would definitely go here again! Thank you

Humble atmosphere super local friendly place. you get a LOT of food for the money. Got the “locos” plate. It has fried rice, your choice of bacon (super thick cut) or sweet sausage, a giant burger patty, eggs on top and then covered in beef gravy. The gravy was good but I could have skipped it. The portion sizes are huge. You could easily split this with two or three people easily.

What a lovely surprise I had coming to Nephi's smokehouse. A friendly, family run establishment that was kind and patient enough to explain some menu items to me as I am not a local. We got lucky enough to have fresh banana lumpia which was such a treat! I had the sweet sausage and the husband had the smoked pork lunch special. Mine came with a home made sesame dressing for the salad that was just to die for. The BBQ items were smokey in flavor and thoroughly marinated. Come in and treat yourself :)

Awesome crispy bacon. Pancakes are huge and so delicious. Breakfast sandwich must try, yummy. Omelette veggie or sausage with cheese, all good. Must try fried rice. Again, side of crispy bacon is a must have. Service is not just good but excellent. They treat you like family since the moment you arrive.

We came here wanting to try some local Hawaii food. We read the reviews and decided to check this place out. The people were super friendly and helped with explaining the food as I asked for something with chicken. The food was truly Delicious as the flavor of the food surprises you of how delicious it is. I highly recommend trying Nephi’s if you’re looking for a small ma and pa place on the big island. 🥰

Where there is a lineup of locals out the door, you can be sure it's good. Don't think just order the smoked meat or sweet sausage. Both if you are hungry. 3 picnic tables inside is all you get. It's the only place I went multiple times during my 18 day stay. If I come back, I will be back here. Closes early. ENJOY

Ohhh boy, they take food seriously. After stepping inside, you can tell this isn't some corporate chain, just people who love good food with air thick with the smell of smoked meat 🤤. After taking some suggestions, settled on the reg Loco Moco, sunnyside up eggs (you can decide how the eggs are cooked), gravey (you can also decide how much) and smoked meat. Man, that smoked meat adds a sweetness to the dish, it's a great sweet and savory mix. If you are the type of person to eat loco moco, be the type of person to add smoked meat too.

Legit authentic Hawaiian food made by local family. Be prepared to wait as they're making it fresh and isn't fast food. Is a little warm I side without AC but that was only complaint from a tourist! 3 picnic tables to sit at so most food is take away. Chicken Katsu with dip was very flavorful, sausage and fried rice were no slouch either. Would come back if in town again!

Closed Sun, close 230 pm Saturday. Sells smoke marlin/meat by the lb until pau. Go early for Lumpia, if no can, the poi balls and ube syrup are some action. Fried fresh deserts, fair prices. Daily specials so check the board, they make a mean pastele stew special. Fried rice on point, plenty shoyu. Mac salad solid. Can't wait to go back for breakfast. Ono grindz and service with aloha. If can, can.

Delicious local food. Best smoked meat I've had in years. Decent selection for breakfast and lunch. 👍👍👍 Chantili pancakes? Hells yes! Smoked sausage? Sign me up!

An absolute hit!!! The service was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the smoked pork plate lunch (the upgrade to fried rice is so worth it!!) and it was generous portions, perfectly cooked, and tasted like it was made with love. My only regret is I stopped here on my way to the airport leaving Kona and didn’t get a chance to come back… I will absolutely be returning next time I’m in town- this one isn’t to be missed!

Chicken catsu dip was amazing. Perfectly fried and the sauce it’s dipped in is great. The fried rice has fried eggs and pieces of pork in it and was extremely flavorful and moist. We also got the gravy cheeseburger that had a homemade gravy on it.

I came here with high hopes based on all the amazing reviews. We tried 5 dishes and our favorite was the smokehouse fries...I got the kalbi plate and it was mostly fat. The Mac salad has tuna or something weird in it. The Korean boneless chicken was hit and miss with chewable pieces, but the sauce was good. Sadly none of us were very impressed and left hungry after spending 100 dollars. The fried rice was pretty good though.

They refused service to my family. I have a disabled mother with a service dog and they refused to serve us. My husband, disabled mother (along with her 11 lb poodle mix) and I walked into the restaurant together. Before saying a word, they shook their heads no and said dogs were not allowed. I explained he was a service animal and they continued shaking their head no and said we could not eat there, so we left. There wasn’t a single person in the restaurant except for the workers and they were very rude to us the minute we walked in. It is against the law to refuse service because of a service animal. Do not go here.

This place is most likely Kona's best hidden jewel. Best poi balls on the island hands down. Pair it up with the Ube dipping sauce and you have arrived in heaven. Breakfast and lunch are outstanding, particularly the pancakes slathered in Chantilly, as well as all the in-house local sausage. If that's not enough, finish off with any number of local desserts then take the rest of the day off... More than worth it's weight in gold, so by now!!!

Honestly best and most authentic Hawaiian food in Kona! Such sweet ladies and absolutely mouth watering food!

A Perfect place to start your day....Top Top Top Notch!!! I cannot say enough about this locally owned operated breakfast/lunch spot. Family owned/operated breakfast and lunch plates. Everything fresh cooked/smoked to order. Loco Moco fried rice and gravy is unbeatable. The hamburger is seasoned well and cooked to order. It is a simple place with picnic benches to eat at but you get to "talk story" with the owners while you're there. And definitely buy links of sausage to take home, it is unreal!!
