One of the very best or the only best Gelato place in Big Island!! Absolutely loved dark chocolate chip and lemongrass ginger turmeric coconut flavors.. I highly recommend trying this out. This one is in located in the Coconut groove shopping center.

Fantastic gelato and a great way to cool down in the heat. Mauka Trail was amazing but I think it overpowered the salted caramel which was the second flavor I got. Garden mint chip was also really nice. Enjoy.

Passion fruit is a must have. Rest are good, coconut is second choice. Overall amazing gelato, worth the visit.

The ice-cream was ok. Not creamy enough but the taste was good. One can choose between different cup sizes, which is a good think to avoid waste, but compared to other places the prices are too high in relation to the quantity of ice-cream putted in the respective cup.

Very delicious gelato. It’s a wait, but rich and flavorful. Can go with a recommended combination, like Mauka Trail and toasted coconut was great. Also had dark chocolate and 100% Kona coffee. Yum!

We were out shopping around and decided to stop in. You can get a cup, sugar cone, or waffle cone. The flavors are to die for, and the customer service was fantastic! My mom is a little hard of hearing, and the nice lady that waited on us was very kind and patient. You are able to taste two flavors and put one or two flavors in your cup/cone. If you’re dairy free, they also have a few different sorbet flavors.

Love Gypsea Gelato!! Consistently good, love the flavors, the staff is super nice! Some flavors are staples and some rotate, you can check their Instagram stories to see what's available per location.

Delicious, creative gelato flavors. Best I've ever had! Very friendly staff and limit the number of people in the shop, which feels safer.

"Gypsea Gelato in Kona is an amazing spot for a refreshing snack! Their selection boasts some of the most unique flavors I've come across. I opted for the London Fog, and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely a must-visit spot on the Big Island. Solid 5 stars for a delightful gelato experience!"

Definitely worth the hype!! Gelato flavors are original and super tasty. Service was quick and very nice. Open late for dessert after dinner. I recommend the toasted coconut haystack and the mauka trail flavors!!

We went here every single night of our trip. It was amazing. The coconut haystack is unlike anything I've tasted. They have so many delicious options, check it out!!

Do not drive by without stopping at this cute spot! Our family could not stop talking about how delicious the gelato was even after we returned from vacation. We tried guava sorbet, tiramisu, coffee, choc, toasted coconut haystack.

Very good gelato. Smooth texture. Lots of good flavors. Hits the spot. Although it’s sorbet and not gelato, the dragon fruit and banana is superb; the best of the flavors. Fair portions for the price.

Great ice cream. Good service. Smaller portions for the $. There's a large variety of flavors. I would definitely recommend stopping there. The two things I would suggest are - I wish they had a punch card/rewards card for locals and I wish the had vegan options.

Cute little gelato joint in the heart of Kona. Their flavours were really unique as well - highly recommend trying something out of your comfort zone!

We've been to 2 different locations! Both were excellent, of course! You can't go wrong with Gelato.... so creamy, so delicious!

This place is a must visit if you are in Kona and looking for a sweet treat! I got the Thai ice tea gelato and it was one of the best gelato/ice cream I’ve had on the island! The only down side is the line can get super long because they are very popular!

BEST GELATO EVER!!!!! We have come everyday for the past 5 days because yes it’s that good! OREO is the best!!! We ordered two minis, cash price $9.05 for both. Can’t wait to come back and get another! YUMMY!!

Convenient location (free parking in the back), good variety, and friendly staff. They allow up to 2 samples per person and can fit up to 2 flavours per cup. The Mauka Trail is delicious!!
