I have been travelling in SL for more than a month already and it has been one of the best place to eat so far. The restaurant is beautiful, the ambiance very nice, the food was yummy and the prices are some of the best you can find in Madiha. I recommend without hesitation!

Lovely vibe and great service from the young man who also cooks the delicious food! We tried the tuna steak, chicken burger and rice & curry. All were really good portion sizes and delicious! We asked for a prawn curry which they did for us. We didn’t make it back for another meal as we’d hoped but they had great looking smoothie bowls and coffee too!

We stayed at Sand Bank’s rooms which we loved! Very well priced and so close to the surf break.. perfect for an early wake up, walk 30m to check the waves.. then run back to get boards… The room was really lovely, newly renovated and clean. The host family is super friendly and the food at the cafe was really good. We can highly recommend!!

Best place I’ve been to in Sri Lanka. Great value, ping pong table, nice sitting area. It’s like swell cafe in terms of the menu but the food is 30% cheaper and the sitting area is nicer. Also more upbeat music. W t f ! But Swell is also really nice and has more options for dinner. (But please improve the coffee)

Absolutely lovely food, great atmosphere and cool vibes. Lots of travellers; with the right stuff to accommodate them. Shocked it’s only just opened cos the owner and the place seemed really great and in a good rhythm. If you’re looking for a chill vibes good food and cheap beer, here’s your place

We got a lovely rice and curry! The best we had in Sri Lanka. And the place have REALLY good prices. The staff was so sweet and the atmosphere was really nice!! I will differently go there again.

Ive been living on-off in this island specially Madiha many years, and Sand Bank is my favourite place to Eat and Drink, chill and play. The menu is priced really low, Food and Drinks are amazing. Definately recommend this place to everyone. yew 🙏🏾

Lahero is a fantastic host and all around great guy offering authentic Sri Lankan curry buffet in the evening along with an all day westernised menu. I recommend both however I ate from the buffet most times we visited. To compliment the great food Sand Bank also offer a great cocktail menu as well as smoothies and of course Lion Larger. Always 10/10 and will recommend and return. The PingPong table is also a great addition. Great vibes only! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
