Absolutely brilliant experience. Felt like we were whisked away to Ethiopia for the evening! Food was delicious and the upstairs restaurant is gorgeous. The presentation of the traditional meal was beautiful. Took my wife here as it was her first ever Ethiopian restaurant experience and she was super happy.

The best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had! Also the seating area upstairs was so lovely, and with the traditional coffee it made it feel so authentic! Such lovely owners. I will definitely be back!

African Cafe is a nice restaurant with pleasant service. They serve local food, buffet etc., but invite a couple of friends and share a plate of their speciality: Ethiopian food. You will not be disappointed.

Delighted to comment about the variety of food I tasted in Café Africa. Being an Ethiopian myself, who travelled across countries and sampled Ethiopian cuisine in different continents, I am well positioned to comment and recommend anyone who is in Kampala & craves for Ethiopian food or test for the first time. The mouthwatering assorted dishes are best suited to those who would like to adventure and get hooked to it. After the meal, do not miss out the coffee ceremony, the aroma of the Arabica coffee will make your day memorable. Interestingly, the price is pocket friendly and gets a lot cheaper if you are visiting as a group. Go and enjoy!!
