A must-visit place to take photographs when visiting Kuching City (Cat City). It is one of the two cat statues in this city. Try to come early in the morning before the sun is high and hot for the best photographs. Within walking distance from the Waterfront.

Aside from the Cat Statue at Jalan Padungan, this Cat Family Statue is the most popular cat statue in the city. This Cats family statue has a total of 9 cats, although located in the middle of the road, there are traffic light making it easily accessible for photos. If you're coming from the waterfront front walk, better crossover to the Riverside Majestic Hotel side (the side with Kuching Jazz Mural) when you see the "Kuching Word Sign". This will avoid the need to brave the busy traffic.

I mean.... it is what it is. A statue of a cat. Multiple cats to be precise. If you are staying along the riverfront do take some time to visit the namesake of this city. Frankly, it was quite overwhelming to me but it definitely is a good selfie spot. You will need to cross the road to get to the statue. I think we all know how treacherous it can be to cross the roads in Malaysia.

An icon of Kuching city. So, it's a must visit for visitors. Best to come in the evening time when the sun is down. That would be better for photos when the light comes on. The statues themselves are normal looking, however, the significance is the meaning of the name of Kuching city translated as Cat, hence the cat statues in the heart of the city here is iconic. Walk around the statue and get different views of the different cats.

Kuching's obsession with cat is visible everywhere in the city. Not only is there the famous - or infamous (it's a matter of perception) - cat museum , but there are also huge murals depicting cats and this very quirky and very kitsch cat sculpture.

Kuching City Icon. Located right in front of the Sheraton Kuching Hotel, at a crossroads, around there are many hotels and shopping centers. It's not far from here, just walk 100 meters and you will reach Kuching Waterfront. To get here you have to cross the road through a traffic light. The view is good, the traffic is also orderly. You have to obey the rules if you want to cross the road because of a speeding vehicle. Enjoy!

I suggest not to take photo at morning since the sunlight was behind the cat statue. However, it's instagrammable if you want to be estetek bund.

The cat statue is located at Kuching China Town, in front of Padungan Road near city center. Sitting at the crossing, this sculpture of a family of cats stand proud. Just press the button, wait for the light to turn green, and nip up to this traffic island and take a selfie with the cats. Beware, you may have to wait your turn, it is that popular..

The cats look a bit tired; need new fresh of coat. Location is near to the Waterfront, crossing the road might be a bit tough since it is located in the intersections of a very busy road.

It is a white cat statue at Padungan roundabout, the statue is surrounded by bush and flowers beds. Nice place especially if you like to take photos. This place is very close and loacated at China Town area. Do the visit and take photos but also do the leisure walks along the main road, and stop for nice food or coffee break at one of the local cafe.

Iconic cat (kucing) statue in the middle of the road. It's a must photo spot in Kuching i think. The McDonald behind the statue is really annoying tho. It's too eye catching when you take photo from in front of it.
