Recently refurbished and full extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good aircon. Good breakfast. The only problem for us was that the bars and restaurants aren’t quite connected up, making it difficult to sign dinks/meals to your room. I’m sure they’ll sort it in due course. An hour or drive so from Kuching airport, but a great location.

Very Disappointment with the experience I had during my recent stay, expected to receive a certain level of service and unfortunately, my expectations were not met. During my stay at your hotel on 13 June 2023, I was disappointed to find that the hotel is not completely renovated or ready to serve guests. 1. No facilities can be use except canoe, but I found the beach is full of stones and rock that may injure my 2 young children. 2. There were stains/ dust along the corridor, no lift services because it’s not ready yet. 3. Uncompleted staircase handrail will temporary cardboard paste at the big hole at the handrails. 4. Staff liaise with guest using WhatsApp only even we are in the hotel having breakfast, we are the only family having breakfast. I don’t understand why a five-star Hotel/Resort service is not offering face to face but using WhatsApp? 5. Inconvenient facility offers at another Damai Resort. Only 2 beach towels provided for each room even we stay with 2 children. 6. Because of less guest during the stay, I found some of the vegetable was dried and look like keeping for days. In conclusion, I would like to express my disappointment with the service I received during my stay at your hotel. I understand the stay is pre-opening promotion but at least you need to get ready with safety issue and facilities. We even can’t use the facility of table tennis due to you are receiving bulk of kitchen stock and doing checking around the only facility. we were left with an uncomfortable experience. Given my experience, I believe it would be appropriate to receive a refund for my stay but the management refuse to do so because of their refund policy.

good for getaway from the city for fun in the sea and relaxation. spacious room with good amenities provided. other tourist attractions nearby such as sarawak cultural village and damai golf club and resort are within walking distance from this resort.

I'm local with many years experience staying here. If you try to enjoy the beach.... I can say.. it's not a best view. Roxy sematan way better. The renovation is done, but human not upgrade. Sandy floor. Think twice, it's not worth staying with current service.

I spent just a night on the resort because of my job. The views were amazing! Huge swimming pool, great activities and really nice rooms. The hotel staff were extremely nice and the breakfast was good too! I’ll definitely come back on my next holidays.

everything is good. slightly disappointed that kids pool is under renovation and there is no bathtub in the hotel room. the breakfast is delicious. service is super good. will come back again.

Enjoyed my stay though compared to other hotels nearby not much of festive decoration to feel the mood. Staff polite but need fast reaction to serve guest. However staff knows their hotel info well. Beach is short stretch and clean.

Food is great, room is spacious, gym full with equipment. Magnificent view even on monsoon season. Staff very good in services. Thank you for hospitality. Nothing Special. Price not worth with the design, environment and atmosphere. It's just the lobby design was slightly impressed me. Other than that nothing special, quite meh... Price is too expensive. RM500++ for a SeaView room, but the Design is really really really meh... Not worth for it. Room is so meh. Don't mind paying it for such high rate, but at least it matches the design and atmosphere. The glass at Lobby and Restaurant are so blurry , like no one clean it. Landscape also not interesting and not attractive, grass are growing tall but no one cut it. Breakfast? still acceptable. Laksa is acceptable , not bad. Foods Not much choices but it's understandable cause not many stay in guest there. I am Sabahan. RM500+ with this price you could get either Deluxe SeaView ( RM485++) or Magellan Club Sea View ( RM585+) at the famous 5 stars resort in Kota Kinabalu - Sutera Harbour Resort. That's what we call 5 stars resort! Design and atmosphere are SUPERB! Please check their photos online, it's really worth the price! I understand Kuching's international tourists are much lesser than Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Sarawak government should start to attract local tourist first, by reducing the price to RM350+ per room . Once you get more stay in guests, it means you are earning too! Rather than empty room. From there you could slowly upgrade your designs.

Very disappointed with the check in time. Standard check in is 3pm. Today is a weekday and no crowd at all. I need to use the room for my business online meeting yet the room is not ready. How can you delay our check in when we have to check out by 12pm next day. What happen next is the gave me a disable room ? Check out the photos below.

Recently reopened mega-resort 1 hour north of Kuching in a small cove. Limited food/beverage options and limited activities but the staff are very friendly and try their best Rooms are large but with little furniture Central aircon struggles to cool general feeling of dampness - maybe because it’s a beach hotel

During my recent stay at this hotel, I had mixed experience that left me with some notable impressions. I am 11 years old who has traveled extensively around SEA. The staff were really friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. They went out of their way to attended to any requests. Their kindness and altruism have stood out. On the flip side, one aspect that was detracted from my enjoyment in the stay was the waiting times my family and I encountered. The staff couldn’t handle the check in queues at all. Whether it was during check-in, or requesting for amenities, there were consistently long waits. It seemed like the hotel might be understaffed. The room itself was comfortable and clean, meeting the basic expectations of a hotel in the price range. However, it didn't quite justify the relatively high cost, especially considering the additional expenses for extra items. Overall my experience here at Damai Lagoon was meh 😀🙃

The environment is good, but v only found out there was a free ATV when v were checking out. Wat a pity. Y didn't d staff offer it when v checked in? Nice place, only need to improve service.

The hotel room is superb and view surrounding the hotel property is mind-blowing. The atmosphere, the ambience is perfect for resting peaceful when have busy minds. Thank You for your service.

Renew but nothing special and most of it still the same as the old one but with new ridiculous rules. Not family friendly anymore. Back than we use to have a big family gathering here but now we rather choose another hotel without beach because the rules that require you to bring limit person per room. Disappointed
